Last 2 times I have gone here around 8 pm, the customer service counter was closed early. The store closes at 10 but lotto and other things needed at customer service is unavailable. Today, I went in the liquor store to check my lotto scratchers and was immediately told I only have 2 minutes and not enough time to cash anything in so sorry. If I made it in to the store on time, I should have been assisted. Oh well, I guess I will stick with Publix. Maybe they are preparing for Aldi hours, which close at 8, when and if they convert. read more

Your talking grocery store. Their staff is pleasant and many of my old students have been provided jobs there. Like most stores, the shelves can be empty at time these days. Only had two choices of burger buns this evening. Lines are usually short but like anything it depends on time of day. I wish there were better pharmacy hours but I can understand high demand. Friendly and quick cashiers, nope. Plenty of options, not really. Then why shop here? Cheap... they have really good prices on a lot of stuff. They often a buy one get one free promo on snacks and canned foods. It's really just a good option for stocking up on snacks. The wine and beer/ spritzers are usually on sale too. And fair warning, don't go in a hurry.... Especially, if you go in the evening(4pm-7pm), expect to wait. The slowest cashiers I've ever experienced in a grocery store. read more

This Winn Dixie is business like . The pharmacy however since Mr Rick left is substandard. Went in just to ask about the mederna booster. And was told I could get one at that time . Filled out all the info . Have them my card . Unlike my 1st 2 experience, I sat for a half hour before asking how much longer. At that time I was notified that when they can get to me. I didn't have an appointment. So . I was neither told an appt was necessary or that I was going to be a "'When we can fit you in " appt. They encouraged the customers while shopping. And this is why I got vaccinated. Mr Rick & his staff made it easy . Asked to make an appointment & then was told only on line . I wish she would have said that in the 1st place , Wasting people's time when simple instructions would suffice. read more

They had their run and now it's over , poor service Tried to run in and buy some ice cream but with 2 registers open and 3-4 people standing in line and the service desk had some loser trying to return product it just wasn't worth the wait . Oh, my word... not impressed one bit. All I wanted was to buy carrotts for the horse and a few odds and ends First price... this market is meant for the rich and famous. If Paris Hilton had to buy groceries, this was her place. Second.... customer service is campariable to the IRS! I don't normally go here and I got my carrotts, apples and pasta... Carrotts were 2.99, Pasta was 4 for $3... the apples said 4 for $1.25.... it rang up as $1.25 a pound. I decided agaist the apples that came to $8 and then the clerk from hell came... horns, tale, hooves and angry red faced and all... she was rude, pushy and lacked any sort of customer service skills I have ever seen. Give me the IRS any day over this clerk. Now that I have met Satan the check out clerk, I won't go back there.... I was in an out so I didn't take notice of the cleaniness like Mike did. Parking was ample, probably due to no one goes there because of Satan Clerk. read more

One thing Winn-Dixie has got going for itself as a chain of supermarkets is they seem to be consistent at every location, and this store is no exception to the rule... It is dirty enough to notice but clean enough to not kick and scream. There's low quality products at a higher price than other local chains. It's kinda dark and gloomy inside and the employees never seem happy or even make much eye contact (I think they're beaten). But, after all they are the closest grocery to my house and they tend to have Ben & Jerry's ice cream on sale often. And for that I am grateful, but in my opinion the whole chain definitely could use some improvement because there's another popular chain everywhere in Florida that is quite the opposite of this place (I'll review them later, everyone knows they rock). read more

PHARMACY IS INCOMPETENT! I am tired of turning the other cheek and making excuses in my head for them because, maybe they are having a bad day, or they're someone called in sick or "whatever". Well..... we used a good rx app and we were willing to drive out of our way to pick up a seizure meds for our boy. Well we called it in and they said it would be ready by X time... nope not ready yet... waited a couple hours still not ready... decided to pick up next day- got meds. NEXT REFILL. (beside the app being useless) we called instead using the automated system. "your prescription will be ready by 3pm"(Thursday)... we went next morning (Friday) to be safe this time.... and it still wasn't ready and we were told come back in a couple hours...This is ridiculous- if you have an automated system it should be able to contact us that YOU'RE NOT READY YET! And no exaggeration: when I stood in line today behind 2 other people they screwed up their prescriptions too. This is why I am wasting MORE of my time by actually writing this review. I can't let this type of stuff slide without warning people. Save yourself the aggravation and find a different place to get your meds. read more

I don t usually go to Winndixie but stopped by on 6/20 by noon to pick up some fresh produce(never thought this was a good place for that) . There I met a worker named Michael who was more than just a very nice guy.. He went to the back to bring out fresh corns and other produce. He was very friendly and helpful to all the customers. the meat people. and, i meet people. without this store, many would not have a store they can afford. competition is healthy and needed in retail. the local employees are only as good as they are led. noticeable changes for the better over the last couple years, some because certain employees stayed and some because they left and were asked too. others will be surely missed, just gotta mention Christina. got me a 18 pound boston butt for 98c per # and saved over 25 usd ! just one item. many times, and many deals, save many dinero. ok. BUENO. no more plentu card program; total waste of time and no money ! back to gas rewards now. plus, many bogo specials and soon ... maybe ... a new name ! ? down south... ya know in north hispaniola ( miami ), they are making ' Fresca ' the name of the store(s). most in house products are now all labeled SE Grocers as well. rumors of Kroger buyout or merger still in the wind. i think we should all be grateful that we are treated so well at this local grocery, even when WE are 'that loser returning product' as haters would say. thank you for making shopping a pleasure, and working to give us another option to those of us in the publix. aww, i had too ! read more

I like this store. I belong to the WD Rewards and by doing so my bill is cut significantly. I find the staff to be very helpful and I believe the customer service is good here. Today I will be going there with a $10 coupon if I spend $40 just because I am a Reward Card holder. Yes Publix is great but double the price of Winn-Dixie. It's not worth it for me. Since they revamped the place about a year ago, the store is much cleaner and brighter. read more

I'm a long time shopper at Winn Dixie clermont. I was raised in a small town where when you walked in you was greeted like a neighbor. That's our Winn Dixie. I have grown to cherish the people that work there. And many of the regular shoppers who go there also. I'm a retired HVAC and refrigeration guy so I pay attention to details different than most and Tony and his awesome work family know that. And know I would advise them on anything they can do to solve a problem on their own. I see on a regular basis employees going out of their way to help customers. And if they cant handle it they quickly get someone who can. It's a business but it's like seeing family when I go shopping there. I love my Winn Dixie store because they are keeping grocery shopping the old fashioned way. They help not only the community and customers but each other. The young employees are being shown that small jesters like helping an older person unload there buggy to going and getting something they may have forgotten or misreading a good deal. I'm always grateful feeling when I get done shopping at my Winn Dixie store because honesty and integrity means a lot now days. So from the people that clean to the stocking staff to the top of management you get treated the same. No fancy dancing or sucking up at my Winn Dixie. I'm a die hard Publix shopper but I have to commend Winn Dixie for fighting back with great BOGOs lately and always offering rain checks when items are out of stock. I won't give them 5 stars only because they don't carry the variety of products I often need but their recent campaign to lower prices is bringing me back on a weekly basis. I love Winn Dixie and only wish the shopping center were repainted and refreshed a bit. read more

Winn Dixie is a chain store with poor quality. I don't know how they stay in business. The one in Clermont it bad. It is just dirty and the staff doesn't really care. THe manager man I think his name was Gary? was a total butt about replacing several smashed items that his bag person broke. I won't go back. read more

So after going to this Winn-Dixie for the hundredth time, I have decided to write a review. The store itself is actually quite dirty in some spots and clean in others, which shows how most of the store is run, half a**. The manager known as Dave is possibly the worst manager I have ever seen. I watched as someone asked for coals for a grill, which were only but fifteen feet away to his right, take a customer all the way around a store before circling back around and finding the coals. I have asked him where a certain type of pepperoni was and instead he sent me to the complete wrong side of the store. Then I notice that what I can only guess is his supervisor come in, and he runs out of the office that all the other managers hide inside of all day and practically kisses the floor the ground the supervisor is on, but doesn't help any customer who tries to get his attention. Then when the supervisor leaves, right back into the office he goes and hides. Now for the good. I met possibly four of the nicest and hardest working individuals I have ever seen. Their names are Cheyenne, Pup, and oddly enough two Cheryls ( hope I'm spelling their names right). The Cheryls, both, were amazing at both helping me find items at customer service and helping with the disaster of a self checkout system that the company has given them. The young lady named pup is probably the fastest seafood department worker I have ever seen. She not only found the specific fish I had asked for, but cut it to exactly one pound. The last person I want to talk about is Cheyenne. She is absolutely the hardest working person there. I have seen her work at customer service and when a specific line ask for a manager to come to the front, if the manager, usually Dave, never shows up, she will call again for them. After that customer waiting there for at least three to five minutes, which slows down everyone in that line, Cheyenne will walk over and do the managers job so that way everyone can get moving again. Now I know there should be a front end manager to take care of this and there never is. If there is one, then they are in the back office doing whatever it is they do (which is usually nothing), and when they finally come out about ten minutes later, they yell at Cheyenne or the other customer service associates for leaving customer service for two seconds to do their job. I have also seen them do this to one of the Cheryls and to someone named Ashley I believe. It's just sad how the employees are treated at this place. The management are the real issue at this store. They have no actual command of their store, and they have no sense of moral. They seem to just be there to slowly whittle away at the happiness of the other employees and when the employees do their jobs correctly, they get yelled at. It's quite sad. In summary, the seafood department is excellent, the deli is quite nice, the olive bar looks unkept and uncleaned. The front could be cleaner and the managers could actually help keep this quaint little grocery store a nice place to stop by. read more
