I'm so mixed with emotions on this location. I've been here quite a few times when I travel to Florida. I utilize their pick up service, when I arrive I pick up after my flight and I've also been inside the store and I've also called into the store before. So my review is going to touch base on inside the store, pick up and calling in. The few times I've come here the parking lot is pure chaos, it's always packed in here and you can't find an employee at all in this store. It's pretty clean, very well stocked but you can't get help that's for sure and you aren't acknowledged at all. I've called in before to check on my pick up order (sometimes my flight is delayed and I miss my pick up window). I had to call 4 separate times once ,before someone picked up and even then she didn't have answers she kept asking the person next to her every question I had instead of just transferring me over or handing over the phone, she didn't seem to pleasant with her attitude. But everytime I actually do pick up, the employees who bring my stuff out are kind and fast and they are the only reason this place is getting the stars it does. They are exceptional and aren't like robots and they don't act like they hate their jobs. Overall- I have to use this Walmart because it's the only one nearby. But I always just do pick up now instead of going in, it's just pure anxiety in there. read more

What happened to this store? I came back this year to find half the shelves empty, dozens of stockers blocking the aisles early in the morning, only a few checkout registers while dozens were unopened and 10 people stand in line waiting at 6:30 in the morning, clueless checkout workers, and some customer screaming at impatient me like a Mafia thug because he took TEN MINUTES for FIVE SMALL ITEMS and when I asked him to hurry up he said "then I'll go slower then.". (Seriously) I tried pickup too and it was just as bad. So suddenly this became one of the worst Walmarts in Florida. How did it change so quickly--new management in the past year/ Hiring low-level workers that don't care? It may look pretty but it's a disaster to shop here. read more

I mentioned that they really needed more cashiers and they said they were doing fine without them. Really? I will take my business elsewhere. Customer service is still a thing. This location is also overcrowded, the shelves are never well stocked. There's always boxes everywhere. Also they are often out of product. What can I say? We don't stop at this location often as there are a couple much closer to where we live. On this occasion we were up in the area shopping at some other stores and we decided to stop through to see what all they might have for holiday merchandise. While we're here we did some grocery shopping from a list that I was building. I did find some items that are not available in the location we usually shop at but there were also items not in inventory that I normally find and purchase at our local store. They do have quite a lot of inventory in this location and they are always busy. On this occasion almost everyone we encountered was wearing a mask and we're handing them out for anyone that showed up that wasn't wearing one. read more

Never go to the Nail Salon located in this Walmart. I gave them specific color (lavender) and showed them multiple examples of it and they gave me a grape color instead. I asked for almond shape and they gave me round. The woman doing my nails made my cuticles bleed and I told her that and she ignored it. Everything went wrong and I had to pay $45 for something I didn't want. I could've walked out and not paid the lady, but at least I have more decency than her. read more

Awful is the only way I can describe trying to use the self check out lane today 10/3/2022. Every other register had a red light blinking, waiting for help. Only one employee was trying to help about 25 registers. People were so frustrated, they walked away and left everything. I had to re-ring my entire purchase because the transaction 'failed'. I've never gone to a Walmart that forces you to use self check out after a certain time before visiting this one a couple of days ago. Here is a list of things I'd rather do before I willingly use Walmart's self check out: *Eat a Popeye's biscuit with no beverage (& risk choking to death) *Pet a porcupine *Hug an electric eel *Revert to dial up internet service Seriously...I hate it. The 3rd star is for the kind employee who was in charge of overseeing the self check out area. I was stalled with errors on my display about a million times & she quickly did an override each time from her station, no hesitation. I will say that this location is well stocked. I got what I came in looking for & a couple of the other employees were helpful, directing me when I couldn't find what needed right away. This is also the 1st Walmart I've seen with a Checker's & Auntie Anne's inside which is pretty cool. read more

Clean, organized and had everything I was looking for. Employees helped when needed, and were familiar with their products, as we asked where we could find things. I loved it more cause it was not packed on a day (Thanksgiving) where most places are swamped with people. I gave 5 stars because what else do you expect, it's Walmart! Employees act as if they own the store. They walk right in front of customers, normally on their cell phones, speak only Spanish, block the entrance ways when being dropped off to work, will not make eye contact and have to have their conversations interrupted to ask a question. The only time I seemed to gotten an employees attention was last week when I saw a large RAT run under the shelving. She actually got on her microphone to let somebody know about it. Finding what you want and being able to believe the shelve price cannot be counted on. read more

This used to be a great Walmart but it's going downhill quickly. Their remodeling isn't doing them any good. For a store that's open 24 hours, there is a lot of restocking being done during the day (and useless because shelves are still half bare) and it's being done by RUDE employees who refuse to move their giant cart when you're clearly trying to get behind it. They just stand there like I'm supposed to wait. I notice every time I go that employees walk around like the customers are an inconvenience to their job. The cashiers are miserable and it shows. My last trip, I encountered ONE employee who was happy to be alive and asking everyone if they were finding what they need. Believe me, I'm contacting the store to let them know they don't deserve him. He belongs in a better store. read more

One of the most poorly run WalMart's I have ever been to, and that's saying something. There are about 30 check out registers and there are almost never more than 6 in use at any given time. The lines are almost always horrible, and it takes 15 minutes to check out. It also seems like there may only be one or two people that know how to actually function as a cashier, as every time I get in line, at least one of the 4 or 5 people in front of me will cause some sort of problem (like using a check) that a cashier cannot solve without flicking their "Please help me floor manager" light. Seriously, who would expect a cashier at walmart to know how to process a check? There are consistently boxes, abandoned carts, and poorly placed displays in the middle of aisles, making navigation awful. I don't recall a time I have been to this location where there have been more carts in the cart retrieval area than randomly strewn around the parking lot. This place sucks. read more

5 star* review of Walmart Clermont, John Lake Road, especially Mr. Ivan Maysonet! I went to buy a top of the line G-shock watch grey with stainless steel bracelet which was to big for my wrist! The watch was cost was $95.92! This bilingual excellent employee with excellent Customer service got the watch and carefully removed all the necessary links and adjusted the watch perfectly to my wrist! My wife and me were very happy and bought the watch! We will reccomend this place without hesitation! All the employees in Walmart should follow the example of this perfect employee! 1 hour before this we went to buy this same watch in the jewelry section of the Walmart in Ocoee which several ladies employees told us it was impossible to remove the links to make the watch fit to me! Needless to say I did not buy the watch there and came to buy it in the Walmart in Clermont John Lake Road with excellent results! read more

Different management problems here. there are 1000 employees yet they can't get people through the damn lines. I waited a half an hour to check out seven items. Brought it to the attention of Maylene the manager. She finally helped with the register after another 15 minutes. Nobody cared. I hate Walmart for this reason it's too bad customers have to wait so long after spending so much money in the store. I purchased a battery at Walmart and had to pay a $12.00 battery core charge. I went to return the dead battery so I can get my core charge refunded. I was told I could not get the refund as it expired. No where on the receipt did it mention that the core charge expires. The manager said the core charge expires after 3 months. Again, no one ever told me that and it doesn't say so on my receipt. So Walmart just scammed me out of $12.00! I'll never buy a battery again at Walmart and I own a fleet of vehicles for my business. Manager on duty doesn't hold cashiers accountable for screw ups and won't try to reach a resolution instead insists on you coming back another time because he's unsure. This store is one of the better Walmarts, but it still has the problems that all Walmarts have. My biggest peeve would be the carts. They need to replace the carts more often. They don't roll well. There is nothing that drives me crazy more than a bad cart when I want to take a quick trip through the store. I see that I'm not the only one, because every time I'm there, I see others trying carts then returning them to try another. The drug/personal care section has a good selection with good prices, but it is always so crowded. During snowbird season, it is impossible to get down theses aisles unless you are there at an off time (preferably before 9AM.) I like that they have a variety of items at the store. The sewing section is much appreciated because you don't find that many places closeby. They also carry some food items that I can only find here. Checkout is usually a nightmare. The lines are very long and they always have a problem ringing in coupons. It has been a little better with the opening of the self checkout lines, but when you have a lot of items and coupons, it takes too long to go through those. Bottom line, there is a good selection of items at reasonable prices if you're willing to put up with the crowds, bad carts, and slow checkouts. read more

I'm ready to give up on Walmart and shop other stores. Yes, Walmart may be cheaper, but it would be worth it if I could get what I want. Recently I have been unable to find: Silk Soy Egg Nog; Pesto; Large Pasta Shells; Peter Pan Simply Ground Peanut Butter; and yesterday was the worst! I overheard one employee talking to another saying he was told not to stock the water. I specifically wanted Distilled water for my husbands CPAP machine and other items in which I need Distilled water. They also did not have bottled Spring Water stocked. I interrupted an employee on the aisle (admittedly I was a bit rude) and asked him why a manager would tell an employee not to stock water. He looked at me strangely and said he'd be with me in a moment. I waited for him to come back from their storage area and he brought me a case of 3 bottles. I took all of them, but there was none left for anyone else. I spend hundreds of dollars every month at this store and you'd think we would at least have items we want and can find in other stores, yes even some other Walmart stores in other states/areas. In the past 3 weeks, I've spent $522 and my husband has spent even more because he uses his credit card. We deserve better service! read more

Went there yesterday got my oil changed, did some shopping for about 40 minutes while they did that. When I got my truck back they had vacuumed the inside of my truck and oil change filter vacuum the inside and it was all done in less than an hour and it was great nice place thank you read more

I go to the customer service desk and ask for help finding something, "I don't know what that is" after I explain and tell her it says they carry it on line, she says "I don't know what to tell you. " I ask her to ask someone else, she asked a manager who still didn't know and had to call someone else. Both women were extremely rude. I had to stop into this walmart for a late night pick up of a few groceries. I thought that since I was going at an odd hour of the night to pick a few things out that I would be in and out pretty quickly. I was wrong. The lines for the registers were longer than I've seen them during busy times during the day. There was only two registers open, in what I thought was considered a 'super' walmart. I also wasn't the only person who seemed annoyed by this. The lines were moving, but at a snail's pace. I went about my shopping and hoped that by the time I was finished and reached the registers to check out that the slow down would have been cleared out and I could pay and be on my way. After tossing in my last few items into my cart I approached the front of the store only to see the same two lines stretching out of the registers. I won't bore you with the rest of the details about waiting in a line just to pay for my groceries, but clearly this store needs to hire more employees for the night shift. Everything else about the walmart is great though, clean store, fully stocked shelves. But please walmart, hire more staff to work the registers at night. read more
