I have a membership to all 3 of the local wholesale clubs (BJ's, Costco and Sam's) and for different reasons. Advantages of BJ's: closest to my house, fresh cut deli meats and cheese counter, stays open later, digital coupons, great mobile app, great gas prices especially with the credit card, decent selection and pricing of items I cant find at the other 2 clubs. Our location does not have a tire center but theit location at Millenia does if I need it. Sadly, they do not have a food court anymore. Years ago, they did but then had a failed experiment replacing them with Dunkin Donuts. Prices for Dunkin were the same price as the local Dunkins outside of the club so it really didnt make sense plus I think they had a limited menu. I miss having the hot foods food court. Now the space is used for storing online pickup orders. My hubby loves the blueberry muffins from the bakery here and my son loves their little cornbread cakes. We aren't fans of their croissants though. Their mobile app is awesome. It even tells you if coupons are available if you forget to add them first. You can quickly see the latest gas prices at the top of the page. The gas station is a bit of a mess with the layout because they only have 1 opening and people tend to block it. Occasionally, they will come out of the booth and guide people to move up but that depends on who is working. I've really only seen that happen when the older guy is working. Glad we have a BJs close by. read more

Needs coupons! Great selection, competitive prices but to save the most you need the app to "clip" coupons. It's a bit annoying but not a big deal, just search for the items you're buying to see if you save. This location has gas/fuel, natural gas, eye glasses and a liquor store. They do not have prepared food (hot dogs, cookies drink) like some locations. read more

I haven't been in this location in probably 10 years. Recently one opened close to my home and we got a membership. I had other things up in the area and I have stopped for gas a few times but on this occasion I was doing some shopping and some other local stores and decided to look for a couple of items I needed. And then they only picked up one thing as I do a lot of price comparisons as I shop. I did however price out a few items I'm interested in with the upcoming holidays. I will be doing some cooking and have to try my hand at some gluten-free products. I found a bag of King Arthur gluten-free flour at a fairly reasonable price that I'm going to attempt to use. I haven't done a lot of dough making over the years and I know it can be a little different with different flours. If I was shopping for a larger household there are quite a few items I would probably buy regular at BJ's but I usually only pick up one or two items when I shop these days. Most of the prices are pretty good and it's quite convenient for gas. I think my only disappointment in this location was the fact that they no longer have a stand where you can get food to eat. I'm used to the locations that have hot dogs and pretzels and such on a deal. There used to be one of those here but no more. read more

First of all, the drive to Clermont, over hills, and with views of the lakes, is awesome! Secondly, go early on any day, for less crowds, and easy in and out. I like BJ"s choice of organic vegetables and fruits, good prices for skin care and toiletries, also over the counter drugs. Excellent wine prices. They also have a liquor store, right next door. A great place for party prep, they have it all: huge blocks of cheese, wine, liquor, mixers, crackers, frozen appetizers to stick in the oven, everything you need to make a charcuterie tray! I have never done a pick-up order, so this was the first time. But it was so easy and convenient. I went on the app last night, picked out the things we needed, and most of our items even had coupons we were able to clip. So, on top of everything being cheaper there, I saved another $16 at checkout for the clipped coupons. Then I procedded to pay and picked out my pickup time for today. We pulled into the designated spot for pickups, checked in on the app & out came our order. It was my first time doing pick up like that, but it won't be my last. Some of the prices are very good. Of course, with the good comes the bad. Some of the prices are nothing special and for some of the food items you can do better waiting for a supermarket to have a BOGO (buy one, get one free) special. B.J.'s Wholesale Club was started in Massachusetts back in 1984. From their start in Massachusetts, B.J.'s Wholesale Club has expanded to well over two hundred locations spread across seventeen states. As a whole, I am a fan of B.J.'s Wholesale Club. I like their deli department and find that their prices are more competitive than the supermarkets that surround it. I also like the quality of the beef that they offer. All in all, I would definitely recommend here. read more

I do a monthly bulk haul of items at this BJ's. The staff is nice, the location is clean and organized. They have plenty of items in stock and a variety of brands. I buy most of my protein here because it's fresh. This location not only has the store, but it also has a liquor store and a gas station. I've been putting my gas at BJ's for a couple months now because I have found that I am able to get it cheaper than anywhere else due to certain perks they offer their customers. For example just this week I paid $4.37 a gallon when it was originally $4.87 a gallon. I was able to get it at a reduced price by pumping gas after I did groceries and by using my BJ's Perks Mastercard. Typically when you use their credit card you save money, but there are certain items in the store that offer you an extra .20 cents off gas if you purchase them. Also the store credit card also offers you cash back percentages so you save even in the store. Not only was I able to save on gas but I also had a $40 credit card reward that I used towards my groceries. Saving money anywhere I can is a win for me, so I like that they have these offers customers can take advantage of. The only reason I am giving this location a 4 star rating is because they recently changed their registers up and now they have more self checkout registers than regular registers, which wouldn't be an issue except you can only do self checkout if you have 20 items or less. So you now have to wait longer to check out since the registers are limited. read more

This BJ's Club reminds me of the one back home in CT. It had all the items I am accustomed to purchasing, so it makes it convenient to come to and shop at. I essentially knew everything I wanted and just about where it would be at. They have plenty of self-check areas which make it convenient. By they way these folks also have propane and a gas station which sells gas at a more cheaper rate than other local gas stations. I wish my CT club had a gas station. read more

BJ's Wholesale in Clermont is my favorite BJ's location. The store is always clean and well stocked. The employees are all very pleasant. There is a liquor store attached with a separate entrance and an area outside in the parking area to exchange your propane tanks. They recently remodeled and replaced the food court with a Dunkin Donuts. The jewelry counter was also eliminated but they still carry a large assortment of electronics. A self check out area was added for those who are only purchasing a few items. It has a hand held scanner so that you do not have to lift heavy items out of your cart. You can make a purchase online and elect to pick up in club and at later time. They also offer online cake ordering for special events. read more

Just bought a BJ's pumpkin pie, 2 actually since they're smaller this year, boy was I shocked! Not only are they smaller, but someone other than the bakery that made them for the last 15 years must be supplying them. They are awful! Mostly some kind of filling other than pumpkin. Waiting til next year's holiday season to see if going out of my way to BJ's is worth it. read more

BJs is extremely convenient. Their prices are better than regular grocery stores and they're clean. The employees are always friendly and eager to help. I have never had a bad experience here- even when people went psycho before the hurricanes, the employees stayed calm and kind to everyone with questions. I will admit their meat selection and pre-made foods aren't as good as Costco or Sams but they're still good. There cold cuts are tasty and the free samples are always a bonus. They also mail out great coupon books and have always been wonderful about using your coupon even if it's too early or expired. Right now they're liquidating their jewelry department so it's all marked really low. Pretty much all that is left is engagement rings and watches. Oh and bargain shoppers! Called store and they Informed me that I could come in To cancel the membership and get a refund. Showed up to do just that and was told thand was told that there is a Deadline of 9 months to get a refund! Even though it is clear that I did not spend any money. Today was the final straw. Last four or five times doing their online ordering and they tell you your order is ready I waited 25- minutes or longer and finally had to go into the store to get my order. Excuses offered were that they are shortstaffed on Sundays. Why accept the orders if they can't manage them? Today after being told my order was ready and waiting for 15 minutes someone stop by my car which was actually nice to tell me they have a new policy to say the orders are ready before they are if it's getting to the point where it's going to be late. To treat consumers like that is inexcusable. I could be waiting home till my order was really ready instead of sitting in the parking lot with my car overheating. Have left messages several times for managers to call me back on previous occasions and nobody ever does. read more

I come here for gas and to use the free air for my tires. It seems to be the busiest between the hours of 1:00-3:00 pm.

It's a great place to shop in bulks!! However come prepare on the weekend because it will be packed.

If you have a big family and plenty of freezer or storage available then this is the place for you. Bulk buys at great rates and a large selection to meet your every need. Deli meats are fresh and so are the produce and bakery items. Huge selection of beer and wine too! Don't forget to walk around and get the free samples. read more

Bjs is a nice wal mart with a membership fee. That fee buys you no increased service especially when it comes to satisfaction of the things you buy. Items must be returned within 90 days. No exceptions. While every other club has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee on most items (excluding those things people abuse like TVs), bjs return policy is 90 days on everything. I don't abuse return policies but I like the lack of worry that those policies give at warehouse clubs. Don't be fooled by the web site that says one year, you are getting a wal mart level return policy. Bjs refused to except the return of an item that broke after I used it once because it was bought 120 days ago. My fault for waiting that long to use it but I didn't expect a policy so stingy at a club. read more

Went to BJ's yesterday to buy a box of K-cups coffee. That is not why I gave only one star. The coffee is good and the price was great. What is troubling is what happened there that I was not aware of at the time. By the time I got home I had an email from BJ's thanking me for coming by the store. At first I thought it was similar to the automated receipts some stores send detailing my purchase. But this had a twist. The included a little note saying they noticed I looked at a Dyson cordless vacuum. I had looked at it. But I didn't interact with any store employee, didn't ask anyone any questions about it, and didn't request any information by email or written card. I was mystified as to how they ascertained that information. I went to their website and found the answer. They tracked me by my cell phone. I had logged into their free WiFi once long ago to look something up. In order to use their WiFi, you have to accept their terms of service. And, you guessed it, that allows them to track you in the store. Their privacy page goes on to say they collect information on their customers from social media sites, and any other way they can. I don't like that. I have "forgotten" the store's WiFi so if I go there again I shouldn't be tracked. But I'm thinking of dropping them altogether. I really think BJ's should prominently announce they track you in store when you sign in on their WiFi, rather than bury it deep in the terms of service. read more

Not as good as Costco but better than Sam's Club. The prices are a little more expensive than Costco but it is way more convenient for Clermont residents to drive here rather than Altamonte Springs and less crowded. The selection is hit or miss but you can find all the staple bulk items; toilet paper, paper towels, frozen veggies, meat, catering supplies. I also enjoy that they have a decent selection of organic products to choose from but they still have a ways to go to compete with Costco on that front. Will I be signing up again next year for a membership? Not my first choice, but in the words of Michael Corleone: "Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!" read more

Food selection is good. Bakery is awesome. Love the 5 cents off gasoline after making a purchase in-store. Staff are normally nice. Store is clean, but some of the carts are old and have issues with the wheels. My only real gripe is that they don't open until 9am. read more

Overall its not a bad location. They usually have what we are looking for. The deli lunch meat is always fresh and good. Most of the deli staff are nice. Most even offer a slice of what you order so you can try it. Usually the staff at customer service are friendly. There are no problems getting a coupon book. My biggest complaint is the guy who checks your receipt at the door when you leave. " Larry" is the furthest thing from friendly. He puts his arm out or steps in front of your cart as though you are trying to run out with unpaid items. He has the attitude like he is in some position of authority. He is the guy who always wanted to be in charge and never accomplished that in life. He is like a wanna be cop or something. Maybe he was bullied as a kid. He does not represent the company very well. I don't know. Anyway this store is not bad aside from the tough guy checking receipts. read more

I decided last year to get a membership at BJ's and I was told that if I canceled my membership for any reason in the first year that I would be refunded my membership fee. This store is a nicer, cashiers are nicer and it is not as crowded as Sam's, and even though the prices are about 10% higher I would rather go there. Unfortunately, I live closer to the Sam's and only went to BJ's about 4 times last year. I went to cancel my membership and the lady at the service desk agreed that I would get a refund until she looked up my membership. Even though it was less than a year, she told me I had to cancel before the 11th month to get a refund, not at all what I was originally told. If in the future I lived closer to a BJ's I might have looked into a membership again but since I was deceived, I will never step foot inside a BJ's again. read more
