I was so shocked when I went shopping yesterday at Publix in Atlantic Station. When I got home I found I was missing 4 items. I called and the young lady I talked to ( I wish I had her name ) told me would get the items and bring them to me. I was impressed. Less than 30 minutes she was at my door. The cashier wasn't at fault. I let a bag in the basket and she still brought it to me. Way to go Publix Great customer service read more

I expected more out of you, Publix. Of all the grocers in the Southeast, I was always taught that you were the classiest, and that your produce was far superior to the likes of Kroger, Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly, etc. But you, too, seem to have cowered upon being placed in a glorified mall! Publix, I am angry. I am angry because you have spoiled me on your fried chicken for all time. Here's a Public Service Announcement for everyone! If you do not HEED THE WARNING, you too will become addicted to their fried chicken and no other fried chicken shall satisfy. Their unbreaded chicken wings are just as crispy and delicious. Don't even get me started on those chicken tenders. You have been warned. Chicken at your own risk. For a long time, I was a frequent visitor to the deli counter. The line does get super long during the lunch rush, but you can order online and schedule a time for it to be in Online Order box. No waiting in line! I have had people take my sandwich from the box and the occasional lost order, but they have always been really nice about immediately getting me sorted out, even if there was a line. As far as the grocery store, it's a smaller store, so not as much inventory, but that's hardly ever been an issue. I work in Atlantic Station, so for grabbing things on the way home, it's just great! The staff are always really friendly and upbeat, even at 7 am when they open. If you come here consistently, they'll remember you and flash a big smile. So this location has nicely fully stocked shelves, clean floors, and brightly lit isles. It is somewhat small for a grocery store, but it is what to be expected since it is located inside an "outdoor mall". If you suffer from "gotta get food in my stomach now- itis" at lunch like I do, then checkout lanes can be a little frustrating. There hardly are any cashiers at the checkout lanes, and when they are there, they are extremely slow. I was once the second person in line, only to wait for 5 minutes while the cashier figured out how to key in a coupon. I had to literally run back to my car afterward because I saw the meter maid approaching my car. Oh yeah, parking blows too. Your only options are either: 1. parking at a meter (which is expensive for 15 minutes) and 2. parking underneath in the garage. Be prepared, however, if you park underground, there isn't a "validation, and pay machine" at the base of the Publix stairs- so you'll have to either walk or drive over to one. read more

Every time that I've purchased seafood here, I get it home and it is bad. Over the course of the past year, today makes time #3. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoy this location. I just suggest that you do not try the "fresh" seafood. read more

The slowest deli counter on earth! They should use tickets/numbers so that you can shop and not waste away waiting just to place your deli order. No sense of urgency whatsoever! Maybe I should just phone the order in while I shop...it took 9 minutes and 52 seconds for someone to take my order (yes, I timed it). I went to Publix and ordered an Italian whole sub on a wheat roll. The sub was layered nicely with genoa salami, capricola ham, and ham with provolone. I added lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, red wine vinegar, mustard, and mayo. The sub was about a foot long and huge. I went with Publix meat and it came out to $6.50, a really good price for the size of the sub The overall taste of the sub was fine. The capricola and salami weren't as flavorful as I had hope, but the sub was still overall good. For the money, the sub is definitely worth it and you do get decent quality ingredients and satisfying meal. They do have the option to get Boars Head meat, but that adds almost $2 more to the sub. read more

I come here periodically after leaving the gym. Today I needed a quick dinner so I grabbed some sushi. 12 bucks for a sampler. The sushi was pretty good actually! It included about 15 pieces of sushi. My cashier was very gracious, I forgot my chopsticks and she read my mind and got a pair for me. This location is clean and easily accessible through the garage. Shout out to the Bakery staff at Publix!!! They understand the meaning of customer service. I was welcomed with my idea for a 40th Birthday Cake. Mr. Mark showed me a cake with the exact style I needed. The gentlemen that assisted me were amazing. When they didn't know the answer they contacted the store manager to be sure. When the manager didn't know the answer he contacted the actual baker. When they informed me about how much the cake would be, I literally looked at them crazy. They saved me over $100 compared to what other bakeries believed to be reasonable. I was even more impressed when I picked up the cake. I met another staff member in the bakery department and he was just exceptional. To top It all off everyone was amazed with the presentation of the cake. The cake tasted great!!! People couldn't believe when I told them I got the cake from Publix. This specific Publix at Atlantic Station is officially my go to for baked goods. GUYS okay I waited in line for a deli sandwich (not during peak eating hours) for legitimately 30+ minutes. The employees were the slowest sandwich makers I have ever seen in my ENTIRE life. I had never gotten a sandwich here before but I was committed to getting one once I waited in line for a little while. I was not disappointed. I have never seen a sandwich hold this many ingredients. They did not skimp on anything. I'm serious, this is like $1 more than subway but at least three times the amount of food. It's cheaper than Which Wich and it's three times the amount of food. I'm telling you guys.... this is the craziest thing. Will definitely be coming back but wow it would be nice if it didn't take so darn long. read more

I certainly don't have anything in my cart to be embarrassed about. I'm not particularly squeamish. The PRINCIPLE is why I'm writing this review. When I get up to the register (I was not in the pharmacy) at this location, this, skinny, tall cashier points to an item of mine of a personal nature and giggles like a school girl and says 'look what you have. Giiiirrrrrlllll' Then she proceeds to give unsolicited advice on family planning and telling me about her personal life. It was so unprofessional and annoying. It was shocking.That has never happened to me in any store. I will complain to the manager and the headquarters. I will never visit this location again. I'm just not the one. I don't mind small talk at a register, which I still find slightly annoying. I'm in type a mode when I have to get things done. But, small talk is understandable. Trying to get in someone's personal business is way past the line. It took her so long to ring up the purchase because of being so occupied with my life. She did not know how to work the check machine well. Publix needs to better train some of their employees. I don't know who this person thinks she is. Before I got to the register, I did not even know her line was open. She was socializing and crying and complaining about working in Publix. She looked up when I approached and seemed annoyed that she had to serve a customer. No 'I'm open here' or 'I'll be with you in a second'. I think I'd rather shop at Kroger. Cashiers: Please just ring people up with a smile and ask 'did you find everything okay'. You are entitled to opinions about stuff unrelated to the store, but shut up and keep them to yourself. You can find many other ways to be friendly and helpful. I feel for anyone who shops at this store for themselves or others. You might end up playing 20 questions! If you get condoms, you might hear 'you bout to get it on tonight! mmm ummmhhh!!' followed by a ghetto, pelvic thrusting dance. If you are getting medicine you might hear 'what's wrong with you?' If you are getting a pregnancy test you might hear 'children are bad. I would not have any if I were you.' If you could buy and engagement ring there, you might hear 'Don't get married. My marriage failed. So you should not get married either.' And I am talking about this being said to GROWN people. Basically, I would have to agree that this Publix is basically just your typical Publix. Sometimes they're out of stuff (in my case it was fresh basil), but the staff has thus far been more than willing to look in the back/help me hunt down whatever I'm looking for. Actually, the first time I was there, the regional manager actually approached me to ask if there was anything I was l was looking for, but not finding. In this case, there wasn't, I was just staring lustfully at the ice cream case, but it's always nice to know the management cares! Otherwise, there is a good selection of produce, but it's not Farmer's Market fresh or anything. They have fennel bulb, and that's usually a good judge of produce selection for me. The meat selection is pretty good (they have the Greenwise stuff that most Publix locations do). I'm also a fan of the yogurts *guava* Let's put it this way: The store itself is nothing special, but the location is clutch for anyone living in the Atlantic Station vicinity. I wouldn't have moved here if there weren't a good grocery store within walking distance. The quality is worth 3 stars, but THAT is worth 5 stars. read more

This Publix is one of my favorite Publix to go to around my house because the parking is free when you park underground (and stay less than 2 hours). The people here are extremely nice and go out of their way to help you. I was very satisfied today because I needed a single small plain cupcake and the young woman at the bakery was super nice and went out of her way to help me. I thought I was going to be stuck buying a full case of 6 cupcakes, but no. She took it out of a large batch of cupcakes, she weighed and packed it individually for me and only charged me $0.83 which is exactly what I needed. She was so polite and professional. She first saw me browsing and insisted in assisting me. These are the kind of people that make you come back to a business. I was so happy when she put the whole thing together. Not to mention that the whole establishment was so clean, including the public bathrooms. read more

I don't even see a real reason for me to review Publix, however they have a really good wine selection for reasonable prices. My real reason for writing this review is the mention that they have British Glamour which I can never find at the grocery!! That made my night. This was a quick visit to get some water in advance of the BBQ festival so my review is not based on a whole heck of alot. Well, and they have an ATM that my friend can use without getting charged- so there's that, too. I liked that there was seating outside. Great if you want to grab a snack for the store and chill. Since we were there for just water, we stuck to the front of the store. The cooled beverage fridges weren't as obvious as in my Kroger, but that's OK. We were able to find water quickly. This Publix is very convenient for the location. You can park for free for 2 hours in the garage. The place is small but it has everything you need. I was able to find everything I needed and the staff was friendly. The woman that worked at the seafood counter on 12/26 was soo pleasant. She made you feel like you were a long lost friend, very personable, sweet & the family enjoyed talking to her. Publix is very lucky to have her! The store has a little bit of everything you need. The staff were super nice when I went. The cashier was also really nice when i forgot an item and went back to get it. He even grabbed a drink out of the fridge for me because i didnt see where it was as I was walking to get the item I forgot. They also have a grab and go fridge at the entrance. Reminded me of Europe where you can get fresh food like sushi or sandwiches to go. I was working long hours at the atlanta open tennis tournament and needed some food, gatorade, band-aids and was so thankful the Publix was there within walking distances amongst all the restaurants and retail stores. read more

So Publix is the go-to supermarket (well for me it is) in Atlanta. They have everything...EVERYTHING. I mean you can get anything from groceries to wine here. They have a huge selection of wine and beer (can you tell what I usually get when I stop off here?) and of course they have your all of the munchies you may need (from chips to trail mix). Publix is a one stop shop in Atlanta. I love Publix because I'm usually in Atlanta for a few days at a time, mostly for work, and I stop here to get whatever I need in my hotel room to hold me down for the days that I'm visiting. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. What else can I say? It's like a cross between a CVS, Pathmark and your neighborhood liquor store all under one roof. read more

I work near here and the convenience can't be beat. Park for free next to the elevator, one floor up and you're at the Publix entrance. Its never been easier to get in and out of a supermarket. The scale is fine - its somewhere in size between the mini-Kroger in Decatur, and the medium sized Publix on Clairmont/Decatur Rd. There's a small selection, but unless I'm being super-picky, there's a selection for everything I need. I've lived here at Atlantic Station for 5 years therefore this has been my primary store for grocery needs. I literally know each and every store associate by name. Over the years I've developed such a friendship that I call them my extended family. To be honest many times I've gone into the store not to purchase anything but just to say hello. Michael, Michelle, Tabria, Tameka, Andrew, both of the Kenya's and so many others should be rewarded for going out of their way to ensure that customers find what they need and provide them with the best shopping experience only Publix has to offer. I used to be a big fan of Publix, most of the time they have great customer service. This location has the WORST customer service. The employees (usually cashiers) are either downright rude or barely say one word to you. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store!! There are plenty of other stores around Atlanta for groceries. Fresh Market, Kroger and Whole Foods are all worth the extra few miles to be treated like you're at least somewhat appreciated.
