This was hands down one of the most infuriating and poorly managed experiences I've ever had at a Publix. I stood waiting at the counter for an absurd amount of time, along with an elderly woman who was clearly struggling to remain standing, while service crawled at a near standstill due to a single large order that went on and on...What made it worse was that this wasn't due to a lack of staff -- it was due to complete mismanagement and indifference. I personally spoke to the assistant manager, Spencer, and asked for help for the overwhelmed employee at the hot foods counter. His response? A casual excuse that they were "spread thin" and that more workers would show up at 2:30 p.m. That does absolutely nothing for the customers being ignored right now. Meanwhile, I could clearly see other deli employees in the back hanging meat and cheese instead of stepping in to help during a rush. Watching that while customers, including a senior, were left waiting endlessly was beyond frustrating. It was incompetent, tone-deaf, and completely unacceptable. This wasn't just slow service it was a total failure of leadership. If this is how this store is run, then Publix has seriously lost sight of what customer service is supposed to be. I will absolutely think twice before ever coming back, and I strongly suggest management takes a hard look at how badly this situation was handled. Please do better Publix Deli! read more

I will say that the customer service and the store's location is amazing! I'm fairly new to the area and at least two people asked if I needed help for what I was looking for! Everyone was very friendly and seemed to care about what I was in need of help with. There were two prominent things that caught my attention though, when I had first arrived the smell coming from the trash cans near the entrance was absolutely disgusting. Another thing would be I was going to buy some cookie dough to make at home, upon arrival the first thing that catches my eye was the fly on the actual cookie dough container that seemed dead. The closer I looked the more I realize there were multiple dead flies in the fridge. Granted I understand that bugs get inside the actual store but never have I seen dead flies like this. It was absolutely disgusting and now I have to be more cautious when grocery shopping. I had told a staff member and they were very apologetic and understanding of the situation, and said they would talk to the department in charge of cleaning the fridges read more

Given this Publix is in a chi-chi area, I'd think they'd have a better variety of products. The one thing I wanted when I visited was yogurt and the Siggi's selection was downright abysmal. Otherwise this Publix seems well maintained and checkout is easy. I don't live in GA, so what this store lacks doesn't concern me long term. read more

I ordered a chicken tender sub and had a terrible experience. The employee helping me was rude and seemed annoyed that I was even ordering. To make matters worse, they were out of chicken tenders. How does a Publix run out of chicken tenders? They're one of the most popular items on the menu. Instead of having more ready or making more, I was basically told I was out of luck. I came to this Publix because it is ranked higher than the other nearby Publix. This venue is tucked away in a back street at the front of a neighborhood. They have plenty of carts up front and they all have working wheels. The place is extremely clean and bright. I was able to buy some turkey wings and legs. I also got some frozen meals. Cashier line was short and they bagged my groceries. Nice place. read more

This is the Publix tucked away in the Peachtree Battle shopping center on Peachtree Road in Buckhead. It's mostly hidden from street view. The parking lot here is awkward and often congested, but I guess it could be worse. There's a "hidden" driveway behind the store, accessible via Terrace Drive NE, which can make entering and exiting the parking lot easier. I remember first shopping at this Publix in the early 2000s. When the Publix in Atlantic Station opened in 2005, there hasn't been much reason for me to return to this Publix. I did visit here again relatively recently, roughly 20 years later, after running an errand at nearby Fixit Ace Hardware: https://www.yelp.com/biz/fixit-ace-hardware-atlanta. This is your standard Publix. My shopping experience here was fine. I visited on a Wednesday around 11:20am and it was nice and quiet, for the most part. The store was clean and well-stocked, particularly the produce section. I was happy to see that one of my favorite fruits, Sumo Citrus ($3.99/lb), was in-stock so I grabbed several that were in good to great condition. I also picked up a medium-sized fruit salad ($8.50) that had cantaloupe, honeydew, green and purple grapes, pineapple, and strawberries. It was good. I generally like to get Publix's fruit bowls. They're hand-cut daily in-store and are a reliable, quick, refreshing, and healthy snack. I also grabbed a few somewhat random assortment of items: Eat Smart Vegetable Medley containing broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower (on sale, 3 for $10.00 or 1 for $3.34; at Publix, you don't actually have to buy the certain number of items to get the discount), Dandy Celery Sticks (1.25 lbs for $3.99; Dandy celery usually has the best texture to me), Stouffer's Tuna Noodle Casserole ($3.69; I hadn't seen this frozen meal before so I thought I'd try it), and Green Giant Simply Steam Seasoned Brussels Sprouts ($2.49; I've had this several times - it's alright). I love this Publix. There is an easier one for me to get to but I go out of my way to this one because #1 the sushi is amazing. I live walking distance to 3 different sushi restaurants and I always will choose the nice lady who makes the sushi's sushi. Not sure her name but she's always very friendly and helpful and will make the ones I want if they're not available while I shop. This is a very average Publix. The positives are that the staff is always very friendly and they have the Publix classics - great bakery section and access to pub subs. It's a good spot for grocery shopping essentials. It's also in a great location that's convenient to many neighborhoods. It's quite small, which means they usually don't have a lot of the items I need. As someone who enjoys cooking a lot, I don't think this could ever be my go-to store just because they inherently have less options and it's slightly pricier than Kroger. The place could really use a face lift - the lighting feels dull and like you're in a more run-down grocery store. Last but not least, there's no self check out!! For a small store, you would think they'd save on overhead and have a few self check out stations. Since I'm usually here for a few items, it's pretty infuriating to always have to wait in a line for a cashier. read more

I went to the deli to get a sandwich today and I was completely ignored. Three employees behind the counter and not one acknowledge me at all avoid iContact so that they wouldn't have to. Or at least that's what I'm assuming. I walked over to the sushi side and the woman making the rules said hello to me immediately so then I walked back over the deli same thing. Continuing to be ignored. So disappointing, dismissive and disrespectful. Hopefully has nothing to do with race but I was the only white person standing there and it was only the Asian employee that acknowledged me. I became so frustrated and offended that I just left and pulled something out of the refrigeration section. On a positive note, my cashier Lakita was amazing! When she saw me coming from across the store she smiled, when I approached her she greeted me and she was so friendly and sweet. She's a wonderful example of amazing Customer Service. read more

So far I only got one- regular celery." -- Friends, Season 7, Episode 8 I enjoy a grocery store where the staff is genuinely friendly and cares that you have found everything you needed. I appreciate a store where the shelves are properly stocked, everything is in place and easy to find and the aisles are well organized. I also appreciate when the baggers just automatically take your cart to your car and I don't feel guilty about it. That's what this Publix is to me - I feel great about shopping here. I live smack dab in the center of 3 stores being convenient for me to drive to and shop, but this one doesn't stress me out. The meat and product selection are great, and while this is one of the smaller stores, I don't feel like I am missing out on any products I need when I shop as a result. The staff is awesome - I always leave with a smile, even if I am having a rough day. And if I can't find something, instead of directing me, a staff member with walk me to it, or go get it for me. So last night I did two new things: I tried my hand at homemade veggie fried rice, and I ate Publix sushi! Both decisions were good ones! I ran over to the store by me to get bean sprouts and carrots (not things I normally keep in stock, but called for in the recipe for fried rice I'd been eyeing on Pinterest - my addictive resource scores again!) and a few other things. I had to wait at the fish counter (trying to get my usual tilapia proved too much for my patience level as the woman ahead of me was stocking up for a massive seafood feast and taking forever) and my eyes wandered over to the sushi fridge. For whatever reason, I spied a spicy tuna meal that looked delicious- the fish looked fresh (and it was), there was avocado and cucumber and just a drizzle of a spicy mayo. Sushi roll appetizer, then a delicious veggie fried rice (onions, carrot, peas, zucchini, bean sprouts). And leftovers for today if I'm in the mood for more Asian. Perfect Thursday night dinner while catching up on "Revenge" episodes online. Score! read more

This is my regular grocery store. Of course I have to supplement it by going to Whole Foods, and of course Trader Joe's. But this is for everyday, week in and week out. Produce is very, very good. And they will bring in special items for you (but you have to follow up on them). PS. Wednesdays they offer seniors a 5% discount. I'll be looking forward to that. read more

Everyone is just so nice and maybe it's just me, but it seems like their staff are mostly from other countries.... its kinda awesome and wonderfully exotic (so Buckhead), lol. I have alot of friends that live near this one so I have to stop here and get flowers alot,and even though their floral section is small, they always help me out and wrap the flowers so nicely. Publix The Peach Pharmacy, three employees with a bad attitude today, Monday, January 4th at around 1:30 PM. This is one of my favorite stores, cashiers, and other employees are always helpful, friendly and polite. The three individuals in the Pharmacy today acted like they were doing me a favor filling my prescription. No eye contact, no greeting and after handing me my prescription, no Thank You. I would like to suggest that Publix Corporate enroll these three employees in a customer service class, hopefully teaching them that how to make customers feel welcome and that their behavior can be a reflection on others. read more

I have online order from this Publix multiple times in their deli department. I have never been pleased once with how my sub has turned out. They have messed it up every time. It is either they put the wrong toppings or sauce or barely anything on there at all. I have also gone in person too and it still has not been great. I have put very clear instructions on my online orders and it has never been what I wanted. I just got a sub today and almost all of the order was wrong. I would hope next time they read the online order careful and make it how the person orders it. read more

Publix is my go to super market. The service that one receives from the time you set foot into the establishment to the time you exit is A1! The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and well displayed. The employees are always knowledgeable about the products and locations in the store. This is the worst Publix store I have shopped with. Every employee seems to be under some kind of pressure and look either unhappy or tired. They will treat you coldly without any smiles on their face. The food you get from this location is below average as well. I'd almost never write a review of something so mundane as a Publix because, come on, it's a fucking grocery store and who cares. Same goes for drug stores and post offices. You just, go to what's closest and get over yourself. This is the biggest clusterfuck of a grocery store I've ever seen. They have all these rat-maze aisle delineations that have you going around your ass to get to your elbow. Especially in the produce and deli sections. Do you want to get hummus or apples first? Whatever your choice, you'll be backtracking. Maybe twice. Do you reallllly need that hummus? Didn't think so. And, Dear God- they have some ass-face floral section right on top of their holiday section so I got smacked in the face with cinnamon wreaths and funereal bouquets of lilies. I wish I could scratch and sniff that smell combo for you so you'd see what I mean. gag. The aisles are narrow, I felt like all the moms were staring at me, and the bakery section is in the far left corner of the store in frozen food no man's land. The poor rotisserie chicken guy was shivering and passing out lukewarm bits of bread and chicken. Awww. Bless his heart. Surely you have a grocery store closer to you than this one. read more

After checking my deep freezer I realized that I'd depleted my stash of Louisiana crawfish tails. That led me to Publix so that I could still make a crawfish quiche tonight for dinner as planned. I was sure it was going to be the first of many stops on a wild hunt for tails. My suspicion was confirmed when I scanned the frozen seafood case and saw everything but what I was looking for. Shrimp, scallops, tilapia filets...and no crawfish in sight. Just then I saw a hairnetted, white coat wearing Publix worker walking in my direction. He flashed an approachable smile at me so I asked him if they had frozen crawfish tails. I expected an apologetic no. Instead he thought for two seconds before saying, "Uhhhh...yes. We do. Let me run and get some for you." He disappeared into the back and emerged less than a minute later with a plump pack of crawfish tails. They weren't tails from Louisiana but I was just happy to have a full 16 ounces--enough to make crawfish étouffée! In my excitement I completely forgot to ask why they weren't stocked in the freezer case. But lesson learned: Publix keeps a secret stash of goodies in their storeroom. I like coming here because of the neighborhood. Very upscale and it seems like everyone who shops here has lots of coins. Regardless, it's a nice store. The produce section is by far on of the larger ones I've seen in a Publix. That's cool, but I wish the deli were bigger. Check out seems to take a little longer. I think that can be attributed to the cashiers taking a little extra time to provide good service. The parking lot is kinda tricky. Take a moment to figure out the traffic flow and things get a lot easier (try exiting behind the store onto the side street to avoid congestion at the traffic light on Peachtree @ Peachtree Battle). read more

We call this the "Little Boy Publix." The "Big Boy Publix" is up the street, North on Peachtree, but you have to drive there. If driving in that area, why not go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's? This Publix is our mainstay because its right in the Peachtree Battle shopping center. That means we can easily walk from our condo. Nice people, pleasant, welcoming environment, clean store, good selection... it's why I hardly ever drive for groceries! Produce: Excellent. Lots of fresh stuff, and it's Buckhead, so they have a good organic selection. Meat: Good. Lots of meats. I can't afford Grass Fed Happy Meat all the time (well, ever), so I live with regular, industrial meat or the Greenwise items, which are a nice compromise between the healthy ideal and a realistic budget. Boxed Stuff in the Middle: I don't know. There is often a lady near the back handing out samples of a recipe. All of the ingredients needed to prepare that recipe are located in a bin adjacent to her sample stand. She is always very nice, always excited about the latest dish, and she even remembers me and asks how it worked out the last time I bought the stuff and made the dish at home. This store is not going to blow you mind. It;s just a good, honest neighborhood grocery with really nice people, good selection, and good prices. read more

I too, cannot believe I am writing a review about a grocery story, but this place in dire need of a makeover montage. I typically try to interact with people as little as possible at the grocery store, but I'm left with the deli section. In my ten years of frequenting this location, I've met maybe one employee who isn't a worthless, clock-watching, nimrod. I don't give a shit if they don't have a smile on their face or welcome me with a warm greeting, but I do ask that you don't argue with something as trivial as meat and bread. I get so jazzed about Publix. The Peachtree Hills location is closest to my house so I'm stopping through this one 9 out of 10 times. This Publix is smaller than most. While the cosmetic section is sorely lacking, the produce section remains fairly large. The bakery is also a little small here, but they offer the same cake service as other stores. If you are looking for more obscure ingredients, this isn't the best store to visit. If you are making a weekly grocery run, it is prime. I personally like the small size of the store and layout in general. Even though it can feel a little cramped, I think it is well organized. The staff make this store great. I see the same familiar faces over and over. Pub subs make all our hearts skip a beat. They always have someone waiting at the sandwich counter to build your personal favorite sub. There is rarely a line for Pub Subs or to check out here while some of the other stores can get pretty backed up. Their other prepared food is quite tasty. This Publix takes Kroger, Whole Foods, Fresh Market and a couple other competitor coupons. While the Kroger on Peachtree or the Whole Foods in Buckhead are nice, they are huge, extremely crowded and overwhellming. The Peachtree Hills Publix really stands alone as a great, compact neighborhood grocery. read more

I can officially classify this Publix as my friendly neighborhood grocery store. This place holds a special place in my heart for a few reasons... It's super convenient for me to get to. They consistently have a great selection of fresh apples. I'm an apple addict, so this is major. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. On one occasion, I happened to leave my cell phone in the shopping basket because I am just that brilliant. I arrived back to my apartment to realize that I was phoneless, and the feeling of panic set in. I must have left it at the store in my rush to wrangle mojito ingredients for our Friday evening get together. I frantically drove back to the store and inquired with Travis in customer service as to whether anyone had turned in an iPhone. He was deeply sympathetic, but didn't have it for me. I retraced my steps with a sunken heart. As I did so, he came up excitedly with the phone in his hand. Someone had just turned it in! He was so helpful and enthusiastic, I felt like he shared in this little victory with me. Now I would not go so far as to say that this is the best grocery store I've ever been to. I cheat on this Public with Kroger and Trader Joe's and even the other Publix further up Peachtree. There are certainly a few weaknesses in terms of offerings. The beauty department is sorely lacking, and the layout is pretty small. But I come to this little store at least 2-3 times per week because I know that I am going to get a smile and excellent service every time I walk through the door. I have been coming to this Publix for 11 years now. It's smaller than other ones, but very convenient. Everyone- from the lady who makes the sushi, to the butcher and cashiers, are always so friendly and helpful. We decided to order our wedding cake from here and are so glad we did. The lady who helped us design it, Diedra was so helpful and made the process a breeze. They even delivered it to our reception down the street. It turned out great, and all our guests couldn't believe how good it tasted.....even for a Publix cake. The buttercream icing tasted so rich and fresh, and the cake was so moist. I did a lot of research on bakeries and cakes for our wedding, and Publix had the best value. They were one of the easiest decisions I made during my wedding planning. read more
