Beautiful spacious layout. Competitive pricing. Called to get a price on an item while Shopping at Kroger and decided to give Publix the business. The store is large and well lit. Pricing is clearly displayed on items and the store is organized and not clunky. I felt like the people who work here actually care about products that on on shelving units. Lots a free parking that is patrolled by an officer. Belt-line boundary is right behind the store so the access is easy. Great location check it out for your self. read more

Publix is known for its pleasurable shopping experience, so keeping this standard in mind, this location falls flat. The Deli always has a long wait, and they never fulfill online orders on time... sometimes not at all. Several times I've found food that has already expired when I pick it up or is within days of it, usually milk or cold cut pasta. This location is also smaller than other Publix stores, so the selection is not as abundant. I will say the produce is often fresh and the grocery staff are helpful, but it's disappointing that they don't offer self checkout. At least they play fun music. read more

Oh how I miss Publix! We do not have Publix in Indiana, so I was happy to come to Atlanta and shop at Publix with my friends. The buy one get one free specials are the best deals at Publix because you save a lot of money. The salmon salads are very fresh and the best healthy meals. The produce is amazing and very fresh. The staff are always friendly and courteous at Publix which makes it even better to shop here. Publix always has a great selection of items in its store and the Publix brand products are very good. I wish we had a Publix in Indiana because the prices are very reasonable and I enjoy going to Publix to shop. Maybe someday Publix will come to Indiana. Only one can dream! read more

This review is for the deli. Not much to say, Publix does a pretty good job of quality control across their Atlanta locations. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Standard, delicious Publix sandwiches with Boar's Head meat. Sometimes they are out of wheat bread after 9pm and sometimes the deli chefs can be slow, but the service is usually great when it's your turn to order. read more

I'm so disappointed in what the Publix Supermarkets brand has become. This location is no exception to the on-going string of bad experiences lately. Today, the cashier double rang up 1 of my items. I caught her on it but she referred me over to customer service instead of just correcting it on the spot. Customer service refused to give me the item for free despite me having to wait and for the hassle. I spoke to the manager and she also refused. Never received an apology either from anyone. Terrible deli! I ordered 2 sandwiches for 6:45 and arrived with neither made. Waited in line and they told me I have to continue to wait another 10 minutes for more chicken tenders to be made. The Ansley Mall Publix's Deli department is the worst!!!! I wanted to have them cater my Company tailgating event at a ball game for about 35 ppl. Called to discuss a menu: Fried Chicken Dinner Plate. The kept telling me to go to their website because they couldn't be bothered to hold a discussion about various side dish options or how many pieces of chicken would be needed for X amount of ppl. I wasn't in a place that I could look at their website and told them this. Well, that really irritated them. Finally placed an order for me to pick up in 2 weeks. Called the afternoon of the event to see if the food could be ready 30 minutes earlier than I had originally requested. "Oh, I meant to call you... we don't have no banana pudding today", I was told. "What?!! And you were going to tell me this when? My event is today in 3 hours! What dessert do you have for a substitute?", I asked. "Oh, we ain't got nothing else." Just infuriating!! And when I asked if the food could be ready 30 minutes earlier than I originally requested, her answer was No. So now I do not have a dessert to offer our employees, clients and vendors. Went to Publix today and picked up a few items. One of those items was a bottle of wine. I noticed once I got into my car I was charged $15.09 instead of $12.99. I went back into the store with my receipt. Working the customer service counter was a nasty attitude manager. I believe her name is Deidre. She took her rude tail from Lavista Rd Publix to Ansley. The problem is "you take self with you no matter where you go" I told her the wine was one price and I was charged another. She rolled her eyes as she took my receipt. I had already taken a picture of the wine display with the price on it. She tells me "I have to go see it for myself" with an attitude. Okay B go and see it. I've witness this same lady being rude to customers on numerous occasions when she worked at Publix on Lavista Rd & Cheshire Bridge. Some people are so miserable in their personal lives they can't even pretend to be nice while at work. Sucks to be her. This is our go-to location for convenience's sake, but Adam's friendly greetings and enthusiastic assistance always a shopping chore much happier. I wouldn't normally think to leave a review on a grocery store and judging by the other reviews, most people who would think to are old, mean, and bored. But I have to say, this Publix has left me pleasantly surprised multiple times now. One time I went to get some fish right after having my car booted in midtown. I told the lady who was preparing my fish that I just got booted and had to pay money I didn't really have to get it off and she gave me an extra piece for free and said I just needed something nice that day. Then last night my fiancé wanted to get some sourdough sliced and, even though it was late, the deli manager broke out the slicer that already looked like it had been cleaned and was SO nice about it, but not only that, he also told us to grab a loaf of the cranberry bread because he wanted to try it, so he sliced us all pieces of the bread and let us all try it together. As someone who grew up in a small town, these pleasantries are so valuable to me! read more

I miss living closer to this Publix. I got to pay a visit yesterday, as I'm working the ad sales for the LA Fitness in the Ansley Mall complex, and I was delighted to find a plethora of good local mags and flyers (from David to CL to all kinds of random handouts) that make for great prospect leads. This Publix isn't as big as The Peach, but bigger than Ptree Battle, which are my two regular spots, but they have everything you need/want and the staff is friendly. I love when I can "work" (ie, do my recon) and get my shopping done at the same time. My favorite pick of the day was lemon pepper tilapia- I love the Publix lemon pepper ready to cook chicken breasts and hadn't seen this before, and can't wait to try! This Publix is really convenient if you need a few grocery items. There is plenty of parking and it is conveniently located at the corner of Cheshire Bridge rd. and LaVista. However, it definitely feels more like an urban Publix. It's much smaller than most Publix locations, they sometimes run out of specific fresh produce, and the deli can have long wait times. It's also difficult to find a shopping cart sometimes. I go here often to buy a few things, but I avoid doing my big grocery runs here. If you're in the area and you want to get some deli items or get a lot of groceries, I recommend going to the Ansley Mall location just a couple miles away. However, the staff are quite friendly and they will have most of what you need. read more

This is a good, all-purpose grocery store. For the most part, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I can generally find what I'm looking for when shopping here. However, I do prefer shopping at the Kroger next door if I'm in the area, and I tend to limit my trips to this Publix for last-minute items I need when I'm shopping at Ansley Mall. Having a Suntrust branch located inside the store is a great touch. It's super-convenient to be able to bank and shop at the same place. I also think the produce section is nice, but the layout can be a little cramped and crowded during peak shopping times. If you're a Publix fan, you won't be disappointed. read more

Ansley Mall Publix is one of Atlanta's bigger in-town Publix supermarkets, but still nowhere near the size of a suburban Publix. Ansley Mall is popular and parking is often tight. However, Publix is located at the north end of the mall, where parking isn't as bad. Nothing really differentiates this Publix from the others. It has a pharmacy, bakery, and deli. The produce, meats, and seafood seem sufficiently fresh. There's a small floral section, wine and beer, and sushi chefs rolling sushi. The deli seems to be popular as I always see customers at the ordering counters there and the staff is polite and friendly. Some deals I've taken advantage of at this Publix include their "GreenWise" (all-natural, organic line) boneless ribeye steaks for $10.99/lb and boneless NY strip steaks for $7.99/lb. Publix brand foods aren't bad. I recommend their ready-to-eat lemon pepper rotisserie chickens ($5.99 each). You can pick one up at the deli. It's tasty, good for 3-4 servings, and a nice value. I've purchased a variety of fruits such as bananas, navel oranges ($1.29/lb) and blueberries ($2.99/box). A drink I sometimes like to pick up are the individually boxed Vita Coco Coconut Waters. They're pricier, but nutrient-rich. I can easily gulp one box down in a matter of seconds. I've also picked up toiletries here. The store is generally clean and easily navigable. Overall, this Publix is OK and should fulfill most people's basic grocery needs. read more

The deli department is super slow as far as making the subs. I usually order ahead and when I get there, my sub still isn't ready. This has happened on multiple occasions. What's the point in being able to order ahead if it won't be ready? Today I ordered almost an hour ahead and it still wasn't ready. The lines are long with only ONE person making the subs. This is my main grocery store. It is not perfect (sometimes the vegetables aren't the freshest; often they get a new product that I like and promptly discontinue carrying it - even though Kroger next door usually has it. The stock bakery items can be great or not that great - highly variable.) BUT I ordered a custom cake for my mother's birthday. 18 or so of us ate it and every single person remarked on how good it was. It was fantastic. It was exactly what my mother wanted and exactly what I ordered. It was ready on schedule and reasonably priced. You cannot find better in cake. Thank you, Publix!!! read more

I thought I should update this review since this is more my neighborhood Publix than it used to be when I lived in Buckhead. I'm within walking distance of the store at the Plaza Midtown, but this one is actually easier to navigate when I'm driving. It's nice that it's larger too. The produce section is really big. So is the meat department, but I wish it was more like the Publix at the Peach. I love their upgraded counter and deli services. Hopefully the concept will eventually make its way down here (and to many more stores). read more

This Publix made me sad. 23489274 people were running around in there; I couldn't move my cart more than 5 feet without slamming into someone's shins. The entire back of the store smelled like fish, and not like, "Oh, look Jenny, the nice man is roasting salmon back there, doesn't it smell amazing?" No, this smelled like fish as in, "Hey, we're out of fish. Quick, lets put all the expired fish behind glass! $$$!" Utter insanity. They do get an extra star for having a random lady with a plate of "health s'mores." Which was essentially chocolate and marshmallows on some health graham cracker thing. Even though the entire concept of "health s'mores" makes me want to jab sharp things into my eyes... Verdict: if you want to go to a Publix, drive a few extra minutes to Atlantic Station. There's noone there, ever. They also make the bag-boys carry your bags to your car for you while you feign royalty. At least that's what I do... read more

Oh, this place is usually such a disaster. I would suggest avoiding it at all costs. This would essentially be my "local grocery store," and was, for a long time. That lasted for the 2 weeks it took me to realize there was a Kroger next door that is cleaner, cheaper, better stocked and has less suspicious people wandering around. Never mind the one billion people entering and leaving the parking lot at all times...between the grocery store itself, ,the Starbucks, the LA Fitness, and the Blockbuster, this place is just set up to be a circus.... Go to the grocery store a half block away instead...You will save money, get fresher food, and go home without having had to go through the experience of wanting to poke something through your eyes to end the suffering. read more

They even open up new registers when they see the line piling up (Walmart should take a hint). I've been to a lot of Publix stores all over the metro area and Athens, and this one is actually really good, especially for being intown. The Publix at Cheshire Bridge and Lavista is actually about 5 minutes closer, but I go to the Ansley Mall location instead because it's just so much better. The store is immense compared to other intown stores and the people are so incredibly friendly here. The workers at the deli counter are speedy, efficient, and kind. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the parking lot is kind of a pain (aren't they all?) and they are sometimes out of (or don't stock) certain items that are carried by the much smaller Cheshire Bridge Publix that I avoid. Oh also, I've never had much trouble at all with long wait lines at the registers, and I'm pretty sure I go at relatively peak hours. read more

I know myself well enough to know that I'm going to go to Trader Joe's some of the time, and I'm going to drop in to Whole Foods every now and then. But as I was raised almost entirely on processed, brand-name foods like Cheetos, Frosted Flakes, Kraft Singles, Tropicana, Ragu, Dole pineapple chunks, and of course, Coca-Cola, I am going to need a "regular" grocery store to frequent. In Atlanta, the question is, will that be Kroger or Publix? Underdog Publix is winning so far. My experience so far is that Publix is more vegetarian-friendly, and more friendly in general. Publix has a vegetarian/health food section near the produce section, and stocks lots of vegetarian frozen meals, which I quite appreciate. I also have an easier time finding items there in general, something I can't quite explain. I don't find myself stuck in long lines, or if the lines are long they always have a reasonable number of lanes open. Finally, the staff is just unbelievably nice, both out on the floor and at the registers. Yet, the cashiers are quite efficient and act like they are trying to get you out as quickly as possible. Best service I've found at a grocery store. Note that the parking lot is on a major slope, and it's supremely annoying trying to unpack your groceries without banging into someone's car. Publix has controlled for this by putting rubber pads on the edges of the carts, which is very cool. But try to park next to the cart return thing if at all possible. read more

The Wings here are the best. Their customer service is over the top. They will sauce your wings wit whatever sauce they have, all you have to do is ask. Price wise you can't find wings this big or good in any restaurant in town. read more

This is my regular grocery store. I go several times a week. The staff is always very friendly, and that can make or break a grocery store. They are fantastic. I grew up in the south and I've been to a lot of Publixes(??). I even worked at four of them. This is a good Publix. Also, I never have a problem getting in and out, although the traffic can be pretty bad. The parking lot is a little small, but good enough. I don't understand the parking spot with a light pole in it. It is a little tight inside. And both doors are used as entrance and exit. It's good to have a little patience if you come here. Since I moved to Atlanta I was having problems trying to decide where I was going to do my shopping. I had a kroger and a publix side to side, so location was not an issue. With time, I have find myself being happier at Publix. The place is always clean and they have great service, from the cashiers, to the people that helps you find things on the store. Besides, I just recently found on the web page the Apron meals and they are perfect for me. They are easy and quick to make and it is easy to find what you need because you can add it to your shopping list and it will tell u wich aile you can find it on. That's all we wanted when we strolled in here last night, as our new accomodations (an old olympic village in Norcross, apparently) is lacking the one thing that makes hotels great - a hotel bar and a room minibar. I've shopped at Publix my entire life. I love Publix. yes, sometimes it can be a bit expensive, however, coupons are always available, even at the front of the store! They never gip you on this. I love the organic options! The bakery is awesome. I had one bad experience here when the deli told me they didn't carry that awesome sub dressing anymore. I almost cried! I had to buy that sandwich anyway and it was terrible without that amazing dressing. Luckily, after talking to corporate I found out that they still carry this. So if you ever crave a sub, you've GOT to get one from publix and ask for the sub dressing with all the oil/vinn and spices. It is the best thing you'll ever taste!
