It is ridiculous to price out people that are already in the building paying rent, you have constant turnover at the cheaper, web based rates along with units sitting empty. You would make more money keeping people in at reasonable rates.

I have had several storage units over the years at different places. Armored Self Storage, is the absolute best I have ever done business with. They always go out of their way to help you . The staff and the owner are such nice people. The facility is clean and they provide trolleys to take from your vehicle to your unit . Please make sure to return them inside. The Very best thing is, it is air-conditioned inside. It is actually nice and cool and they play nice music over the PA SYSTEM. The great thing about having air-conditioned storage, is that your items don't get ruined ,they don't get cooked in 120° heat . You can even rent a moving van from them . So you can bring your things to the storage unit if you need to. At one time I had rented 3 units at once. The more you have rented, the better rate they will give you. I rented from them for about seven years . I had payments taken from my card each month. It was hassle free. If you live in Tempe or the area ,and you need storage . They went out of their way to offer help, sometimes before I even had to ask! The manager is who I saw most often and he remembered me by name and my unit number. He asked about the friends and roommates I had that had visited there with me asked how they were doing and stuff even if he had only seen them with me and never spoke to them directly! I was blown away by how personalized our interactions were and it made me feel a lot safer somehow. When we were first getting the unit he broke down the agreement into simple easy to understand terms, explained all the policies/fees in depth, and still got the whole process done and the keys in my hand in less than 15 minutes. The place is air conditioned and temperature controlled. There is a huge freight-sized elevator with covered/lightly padded walls to take you to each floor. They have free mattress dollies, carts and furniture dollies you can use for free, no questions asked, as long as you put them away. The building and every hallway was always always clean, no Trash, no dust, nothing just laying around. The bathroom is large but only one person can use it at a time. It was always clean and well stocked and never really had a bad smell. You can make your payments online, (with no extra fee!) which is a big plus to me since I would hate to have to drive down there every month to pay in person. We never saw any bugs, mice or, other vermin anywhere at all on the property. When I got my things unpacked, I double-checked and there were no bugs anywhere. Not even silverfish or crickets! There is a soda vending machine, a water fountain and they also sell bottled water if you forgot to bring a drink. My only complaint is that I wish they were open for more hours especially on weekends, at least until 9 like the majority of businesses in the valley, but I get it. They have a small staff. They are open 7 days a week which is awesome! We had one really bad day on move in and we were stuck there after closing and the manager was very understanding and courteous and worked with us, not against us. At every opportunity, any time something went wrong (throughout my entire 8ish month stay), he went out of his way to be flexible and patient and try to lighten the mood. I will happily come back to this Armored Storage any time I move and will recommend to everyone I know who's looking for a secure, temp controlled place with great customer service and reasonable prices.

Redeeming factor was the lone employee cleaning trucks that helped me so my pickup was only 30 minutes delayed. When I went to empty out the unit, I found dirt all over every horizontal surface and water damage for items that rested on the floor. One item, a lovely entry table, molded and the wood swelled and began to rot. A rug had to go in the trash. The mattress has to be disposed of too. The storage management said there was nothing they could do for me since I didn't get the extra insurance. Their unit floods and rains dirt on my belongings and they don't seem to want to even try to make it right. Be warned! Choose another storage location.

Unsatisfactory customer services…read more I have no signed contract with company, as they took over from previous owner and failed to provide notification. They are now trying to collect rent for December after moving out and told by their employee nothing owned. Now stating on phone it will go to collections if not paid, when contesting the bill. Save yourself a headache, do not recommend.

Public Storage Purchased this location from Arizonia Storage Company and names changed on 11/4/24…read more The Prior Management Team and Company was Extremely helpful and cared about their customers and helping them out. Had a Unit with Arizonia Storage Company and had a Paid Contract. When Public Storage purchased the Location, we revived notice of change in price. Went in to talk to the office on a Tuesday and they said they could not honor the original paid contract they would have to contact the regional manager and get back to use. a few hours later the office called and said they are going to honor the Contract, and we do not have any payment due until the end of the paid contract. The next day log in to the Customer Portal to make sure this was reflected on the account. and it was not. Stopped in the office on Wed. and they now are telling us no they are not honoring the contract. we would have to make a full payment of $309 more over what was paid on the first lease with the other company. (if you go online or call the rate that is beeing offered is about $65 less than what they wanted to charge with the new contract that was offered to us). or need to vacate out of the unit by 11/28/24 they Will not Honer the Paid Contract and demanded new Lease with a Very Hefty Price increase for the Unit. They told us we would have to get our payments that was paid from the original owners, also refused to honor the hours of access that was given in the original contract. It has been now more then 20 days after they have taken over and they still do not have the Elevators fixed for customers on the 2nd floor they have to use the Stairs to access their units. I would not Recommend this Company to even my Worst Enemy Wish we could Leave a No Star rating. All the Review's prior to 11/4/24 are not Public Storage.
