Just like everyone else, we were in our 7.5 x 10 storage unit since January of this year for a total rate (all BS and insurance included) of $78.45. This is a competitive price, right? Then we get an email this month informing us that our rate starting in June will be (total) $132.78, which is a 69.2% increase. This is obviously an INSANE price hike that nobody would even think is in the realm of possibility when you sign section 2.2 of the renter's agreement, which states "We may change your Monthly Rent, fees and charges, and any other terms of this Rental Agreement with 30 days' notice to you." Now, imagine you pay $150/mo on your mobile phones for your family or something. Imagine your carrier emails you and says that your new bill is suddenly going to be $253.88/mo with zero changes to your service (no improvements). You would be LIVID and also probably shocked, would you not? I totally understand modest increases from time to time, especially during this time of inflation. Like a 10% price increase would be tolerable, but a 69.2% increase in a single go? NOPE. So needless to say, we are getting our stuff out ASAP. For what it's worth, at this specific location, we have NEVER seen someone at the front desk. We've been in there a dozen times and nobody has ever been there to help us, or to take the combination lock from us, or anything. I do NOT recommend Public Storage. STAY AWAY. read more

Our monthly rent sky-rocketed, as I'm sure everyone else's did. We had to downsize from a home to a one bedroom apartment. It was terrible. We had to put our entire life into a storage unit. We are still reeling from this. We chose Public Storage because our Uhaul storage place did not have the size unit we needed. Everything at Public Storage was fine, at first. Fairly reasonable price, so-so cleanliness. They do need new wheels on their moving carts, horrible carts, deafening noise when they move. I reported this, multiple times, and the wheels were never fixed. The bathrooms always seemed to be locked too.Today, after only having the unit since February, they decided to raise our rent $78.11/mo. What the heck is that all about and what reason do they have for that? Uhaul never did this to us. Uhaul was spotless. Uhaul had a security system on our exact storage unit and they monitored it 24 hours a day. If I didnt check in before opening our unit an alarm went off. Uhaul had carts in perfect working order. Uhaul never raised our rent more than $15/mo in any given year. Uhaul has unlocked and spotless bathrooms. Uhaul had friendly employees who were always ready to help you out with whatever you needed. I do not get this feeling at Public Storage. I am a disabled veteran. I just got pushed out of my home and, now, Public Storage is going to gouge me too?!?! As soon as we find a different storage place, we are leaving Public Storage. Hopefully Uhaul has the size we need, I would love to rent from them again. I encourage everyone to do the same. Do not rent from these guys. Go somewhere with a better reputation. Read the reviews, we aren't the first people to experience this. I wish we had read all of them before we chose Public Storage. Shame on you Public Storage. Just because you CAN price gouge rent doesn't mean you should. Ya'll need to find Jesus. $191.53/mo to $269.64/mo. That feels like greed to me. read more

As other people here have stated our rent is also going up another $40 in may, this after adding another $100 to our rent less than a year ago. Yes our is is a 10x15 but come on, $224 a month is gouging. And what other tenants have said about the carts and the bathrooms are all true. Find another storage center if you can. read more

Online reservations was simple online and Ronald at the desk was very helpful.

This place will lure you in with a very competitive price and once they know you are settled, watch out... they will systematically and continuously raise your rent to the point of ridiculousness. I talked to another tenant there to see if they were experiencing the same thing and he said he was.. was there for 6 months and then the rates started increasing over and over (every 3-6 months you will get a rent increase of $10-$20/month) until they price you out of the unit. RENTER BEWARE!! Once they know you have your stuff there and know it would be a hassle to move to another facility, they will take advantage of you and not care. Be prepared to move your stuff out because they will mercilessly take your money and keep asking for more and more. read more

After being with the company for over two years, we received a letter informing us of an increase in our rate. When I called the local store to inquire about this and the fact that a new customer can get a rate better then they were offering me, I was told there was nothing that could be done and I would need to contact the main office. When calling the main 1-800 number, the customer service lady was rude and refused to give me her name when I informed her of the poor service and my intent to give a poor review on Yelp. She then promptly hung up on me. The customer service of this company is extremely poor and they do not want to keep loyal customers. read more

He looked at the dimensions for the items I was bringing to store and helped me find the right sized unit. Not too small, not too big. I went in last month to get a storage unit and noticed the clean grounds and units, safe/secure feeling and I appreciated that we had use of the many dolly's on site. However, what sold me on this Public Storage location (I had been to 2 others before this) was the people, or rather, one person in particular - Monika. She not only asked me good questions to make sure that I got the exact right storage unit for me, she was very nice, super efficient and had me out of there in 15 minutes! If I were hiring in my own business, I would hire Monika on the spot - efficient, smart, friendly, funny, customer-focused and productive - all of the things I look for in colleagues. Ronald is beyond awesome. He is courtesy, knowledgeable, and anticipates your needs. I needed to move from a larger unit to a smaller one and Ronald went over all my options. I originally wanted a 10 x 7.5 but not available. I made the reservation for a 10 x5 and then the next day Ronald called me to let me know a 10 x 7.5 would be available in a few days. They do not seem to care to care about their customers at this location. Bathrooms are always nasty, smell like pee, or something else and dirty. Mostly always out of soap! Alarms on "ALL" storage units never have worked since day one and they have not even tried to fixed them yet at all but they are always are rising the rates if you are there more than a year or so. It seems like you would want to keep people in renting your storage units for long periods of time. But no they penalize there customers for it at public storage. This is the worse location I have encountered this far, but this is the worst one by far. Loading carts stay broken too long as well. read more
