The front desk clerk is very very rude and disrespectful. She uses profanity when talking, has horrible customer service and very unprofessional phone etiquette. The clerk called me regarding my account, which I had paid in full and didn't understand the nature of her call as I have always spoke to a different nice lady for the entire year I have done business here as well as always receive email and text updates regarding my account, and she got very disrespectful and hung up, the clerk proceeded to call me again and make several statements before hanging up. I called back several times asking for the clerks name as well as a manager and she said she was the manager. I arrived at the property to be informed she was not a manager and having a bad day. That does not give you the permission to speak disrepectly to the customers nor hang up on the customers you called several times. The clerk was also unhelpful and insinuating she would like to fight if I got to close to her, all while the manager on the property was asking me to come into the office so that she could assist me with access to my storage. Customer service classes as well as anger management classes would serve well for the front desk clerk working this morning. I do not handle disrespect well and will discontinue my business with this company as well as let others know my experience. When asking for the clerk's name she refused as she knew she was in the wrong and beyond disrespectful. I will also be reaching out to a regional manager or cooperate manager as this is very unacceptable. read more

I was able to check in and pay online. Took advantage of the $1.00 move in special. They did have a moving wagon by the door to help move stuff to the unit. I was making another trip on Tuesday afternoon to bring more stuff when I found the gate locked and it wasn't even 6:00. That was definitely not a good move on their part. I saw the text afterwards that they were closing early. The other locations all stayed open. read more

I use to park my truck in this location of Tampa, spot 7001, at west waters ave since 11/28/2018, but in less of 1 year they increased unilaterally the monthly fee in aprox 18%!!, last month I paid $159.20 (included tax) but they sent an E-mail with a crazy and Not justified price.(i dont know how they calculated it) Now i called asking why I had to pay $192.77 and they only said "we can do that the times we want!, and if you go out we dont give any refunds!) . The user service staff is rude, they never solve anything and apart from that, the storage takes almost a month with the damaged door and it is seen that the maintenance is terrible !!! I do not recommend that you use this site! ill never do it again! read more

My daughter recommended this Public Storage location. We appreciate the knowledge and diligence of the staff person there. The grounds are clean and well lit. Additionally, the location is in a busy area which enhances our feeling safe entering and exiting. Lastly we are very pleased that we were not required to enter into a lease. Stay Away! $1 sign-up is a bait and switch. You have to buy their lock - lie. You have to have their insurance - lie. The worst? My unit along with 10 or more others was broken into - everything of value was stolen. Security cameras? Nope, not in the back. And this place has been robbed before, in 2013. A news channel even did a segment on storage unit thefts, highlighting this very same business, Yet, they still did nothing to improve security. Manager could care less....she refused to return phone calls or speak to me about next steps. The most unprofessional place I have ever encountered. To top it off.....my monthly fee was increased for no reason and Auto-pay, that I did not sign-up for, was implemented. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Great service provided by Carmen. Very personable with a great sense of humor. The team explained all the options available and helped me settle on the best storage unit for our needs. Nathan walked me to my unit using my gate code to ensure it worked, then practiced unlocking and opening the unit. The $1 first month fee is true, but not inclusive of their fees that will drive your payment north of $50, so be prepared. read more

Have been renting here since March. Went to our unit today to access a few things and found that the ceiling was leaking directly in the middle. Who knows how long it was leaking. No one apologized, no month free, had to move the ENTIRE unit by ourselves. Of course this was NOT my fault but because I opted not to pay $15 a month we get no kind of coverage. It is disappointing and frustrating. Ruined a one of a kind table and entire bag of new throw pillows. Prices less memories. read more

The only reason I rented here is the lady in the office, I think her name is Amy. She was very nice and helpful. The property is nice and clean. The $1 a month thing is kind of a bait and switch. I expect to have to pay more than a $1 walking in but not MORE than a months rent. You have to get their lock, their insurance, and so on. They did have hand carts to use, that was nice. Security is questionable, they could use more cameras. read more

Not enough carts in each area. The doors remain open, which is not secure. The doorstops need to be removed to eliminate this issue. This has been reported to the office, but appears nothing has been done to resolve either issue. read more

The workers there are awesome. But when you sign up for a storage unit then a 2 months later they raise your rent over $30 that's just crazy!! When you call to ask why they tell you that's just the way it is. they evaluate the property and if needed they raise the rent. You mean if they do not have enough units sold they raise everyone else's rent to cover themselves.... read more

Called in 800 number to find nearest locations and costs . Help desk provided a reservation and when I arrived onsite James was ready to assist . He pulled my information and we took a ride to review the storage area. James explained the gate process and made sure I was aware of the access hours. We went back and began the completion of the paperwork. James explained all of the requirements for the lock and insurance and options. James explained the billing policy and also the fees associated with the rental. James was excellent in getting me settled into my storage area on a late Sunday afternoon ! Public Storage had the least expensive units for what I was looking for, a 5x10 climate controlled unit. The first month did end up being more expensive than I was expecting because, as the other review stated, you have to buy your lock and insurance. But they do have great first month renal deals like $1 or 50% off depending on the unit. The front office staff are fantastic! Eric called me right away when a unit became available in the size I was looking for, and Vanessa was very helpful with the move-in process and talked me through everything. This location is very clean and they have good security measures. I would definitely recommend this location. read more
