Good luck trying to find a live person on the property to help you. I can"t get a lock for my unit and have not been able to move my stuff foe 3 days. I cannot cancel either online or through customer service. It's by appointment only. customer service gives you the run around. They are no help. Public Storage is a huge money scam!!!! Funny I use to have service until 9-10pm at night which was included in my monthly payment however that all stopped and hours were reduced to 6pm and now public storage is offering a 24/7 access for $60 more!!!! That's bullshit when I had access until 9-10pm at night already included with my monthly rent!!!! This is a huge scam!!! I will be leaving this facility as soon as I can!!!! I have rented from Public Storage for over two years, adding and subtracting units according to my needs. Recently, I went to Washington state to arrange for a receiving unit for my things from California. I chatted with a nice lady who showed me a unit and who suggested that I sign up online. I couldn't get the unit I had been shown via online sign up, and I couldn't get in touch with the people at the facility. The online promotion made it sound like you would not be charged. If you were only holding the unit, which is what I thought I did. Well, that sounded nice until I returned to California to do this long distance. However, I learned very quickly that if you give them your financial information, you are charged as though it's a permanent commitment even if you cancel within a week, never put a lock on the unit and never put anything within the unit, or even if you had no idea where the unit is. Consequently, after this long history with Public Storage, I called up to discuss this and to get this monthly charge credited, even though I realize that the setup fee would be sacrificed. But no, some guy whose foreign speech I could hardly understand read a statement that essentially said, tough luck, we've got your money you're not getting anything back. I tried to point out how much money Public Storage is made from me in the last couple years, but the person I was talking to, the man with the foreign accent, could not care less and told me that he was reading what he was told to read, and he had no sympathy with my position at all. Consequently, I will be looking for a new storage space in Washington that is not affiliated with Public Storage in any way. For the last two years, they always sent me feedback requests as to my experience, and I always was very positive and spent a lot of money in the last couple years, but that is going to cease immediately because I'm very mad that my rental history and my needs, which would've stimulated more income to Public Storage if they had simply waited for me to arrange for the proper unit that I have been shown, I will not being doing business with them ever again. Too bad, but on the other hand, chronic rental increases once they have your stuff will not be so easy, either. That's what competition is for. I should point out that the young woman at the facility in California has always been excellent and I've appreciated her support and assistance, but apparently Public Storage as a corporation doesn't really care. It's unfortunate how cheap companies are now they don't have a person in any of the location s just a phone number to call. Customer service is impossible unless you need a new unit then answer in a minute or less. They over charge for everything and anything fees for this and that. A $1 a moth is more like $35 plus a fee in two day for idk know what. They bill you the full month on the first if you move out on the 1st the still bill you a full month or move the 15th they don't retro rate payments, late fees are high. There's no number to call directly for billing questions or is there an option for it in there 800 number I had to use the option to rent a new unit to get them on the phone and they weren't happy about it. I moved out Dec. 1 and they were charging full rate plus late fees and trying to send it to collections. I disputed charges after arguing with the customer service representative and I asked for an admin or headquarters number or address and was refused they put in a request to see if they will take off charges which they had already done once. They need a good law suit if you ask me. They ripped off so many people that they attract with the $1 promotion which is bullshit and false advertising. I'm tried of the fine print I say people band up and make it illegal to have fine print after the fact in a contract. They can evict you like any rental property and sell you things but don't have to fallow same rules of returning the property. I think it's unjust there making millions by charging people for a space longer then they need it. Or forcing you to stay the full month and pay. Most people don't get to move until the 1 into a new place so it's all a scam. read more

I've cancelled my unit with this storage for a few reasons one being the rent goes up every year. I'm paying over $200 more then I was two years ago. And they still contact me for money. I cancelled my unit 4/10/25 online and shows move out date and all and yet still today I'm getting calls that I'm passed due and now I owe over $470 read more

Horrible Experience. 1) Poor communication and Poor documentation company. 2) Do not care for your privacy 3) 1 man Business for the entire US locations or may be for the entire world locations with Zero customer service. The place is unmanned and controlled by cameras and app. Good for the owner but worst for a renter. If you are over 25 I warn you to be careful about your blood pressure and mental stability. If you are under 25, I think you are still in school and you have time to do the unmanned work place. But if you are over 25, be prepared get your health damaged in getting woork done in a predictable way with Public Storage. This is definitely not the kind of business I look forward to work with and so I will never go to Public Storage in future. read more

It's a good & clean storage unit. The customer service is very friendly. The reason I don't give 5 stars because there is no light in my unit even though there is the light bulb. I asked the office and they replied me that it has had no electricity for the whole section F for months and no one to fix. This place sucks! My unit got robbed twice in one month. Police could not use the video surveillance because it was too grainy. When our unit got hit a second time they never called us to tell us it was robbed. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I know storage units are always getting robbed and what not but today we were notified that ours was robbed and they aren't even sure around what time it was robbed which is ridiculous especially if the "check" everything before locking up. Whoever stole our items also knew the security code and the code to open the hallway door, but since it's a small hallway they don't have a security camera. With our unit being broken into we no longer had the need for the storage unit and so decided to cancel for the month of July since it was already paid for, I legit had to wait for the manager lady to go to the unit and inspect it to "make sure we didn't leave anything" when half of our valuables were stolen anyways she comes back and tells me she couldn't open the door to the hallway and asked again if I had emptied out the storage, it's ridiculous that she being the manager couldn't open the dam door yet the person who stole our unit could open the door and had enough time to steal our things and another unit that was in front of ours. If you do get a storage unit make sure you get it where there's cameras if not I recommend you yourself install a camera inside the unit. read more

So far so good with this place I came in thinking to use them for only 1-3 months since my place where I supposed to go it's no ready for me...I'm almost in the middle of june and still here paying $195.50 for a 10x30 they have not race the price yet!!! this storage suck do not go here! my dad was in the hospital for a few months and was late on his payment so I called them and the women in the front office said the payment had to be before the end of the month it was like 100$ or something so I paid it and continue to pay it for like 3 months.. well today me and my dad went to his storage unit to grab some things and the Asian women in front said that the lock was cut! they cut the locks and changed them even tho I paid the bill I have no idea when they did this me nor my father was notified. so im upset, then I tell her well im just going to take all his things out (it was a small unit) and she refused to prorate the months rent even tho all the other public storages do. so I said fine im going to take his things out anyway and she sid "WELL MAKE SURE U TAKE EVERYTHING OUT SO WE CAN CLEAN" I told her that even though his items are out we paid the full month so we might come back and put some stuff in...she said we need to buy a new lock cause they cut the last one and te cost was 30$!!!! ridiculous!! don't waist your money on there rude service. read more
