Just rented a 20x30 at your Warren St Randolph Mass facility. The on line rental process was easy to navigate. Shortly after finishing the on line process, I received a call from your site manager. She was extremely helpful answering my questions. The unit was clean and ready for use without any issues. The rent is reasonable considering that it is a large unit. If you love rats' poops on your things then you should store your stuff here. We called the people here to let them know the problems and they made it sounds like it was our fault even we have no food in there whatever. We talked to a guy who has a storage next to us and he has the same problem. When we finally cleaned our stuff out, there was a dead rat lying in there. Everything we took out we had to wipe and sanitize because it has urine and chunk of poops. In the summer it smelled really bad. Every time you open the door you can here the rats running on the roof. Of course we had to clean the storage unit with no trash disposal around either. read more

I sure wish I had read the review before I stored my stuff in there this year. Since it was early spring, there were no evidence of rats. Once the fall it, I saw nothing but rat crap. It was quite annoying. There is no customer service. The two new girls are great hopefully they won't pick up the habits from the ones already there. I have never written a negative review on Yelp. But I have to say, my interaction today has been truly shocking. My issue was simply how to reserve a unit without traveling to the location in advance to do the paperwork (I am some 150 miles away). They insisted that I make a special journey in advance just to show my drivers license. Some complicated story about insurance, etc. But obviously if a car rental company can accept a booking from the other end of the country, and validate the physical documents when I arrive, the same it true for a storage space. This has to be a solvable problem. I even offered to hire a local lawyer with power of attorney to come to the location and make the booking on my behalf. Nope. "Not the way we do business." The policy is capricious and absurd. More importantly perhaps, the extraordinary rudeness of the District Manager with whom I talked was entirely unprofessional. As I was trying to find a workable solution (to give them eight months of business!), he hung up on me. None of this reflects on the local manager (who tried her best to help), but my impression of "Public Storage" as a corporation is that they are arrogant and totally indifferent to their customers. When I got there to view my unit, Rick was very professional and had a great sense of humor at the same time. I just vacated from the Randolph/Warren Street storage unit. The service was great. Because there is no trash disposal available on site, Danielle (an employee who provides service for Public Storage) was able to find a person to whom I can donate all of my mildly used furniture and other equipment. I'm using Public Storage to store my summer vehicle because I didn't want it out in the elements. Danielle was friendly, professional, and knew exactly what I was looking for. It helps to expedite the process when filling out your information online before the appointment, so please keep that in mind. The office uses WiFi which kept crashing the computer and delaying the processing time. I would suggest to have the office computers hardwired to help speed up the process. Other than that, both Danielle and the new hire in training were helpful to getting the things I need or could of forgotten. Like ALL public storage, pest are always a concern and I will be setting up traps and checking on my vehicle from time to time. I also cant forget the best deal in town and I locked in on my online rate. read more

I have been storing my things from my work studio here since 2012 with no problems until recently I went to my unit to drop some things off to only discover that my door was open at the bottom as if something hit it. I was so pissed off because I have not been to my unit in a while and I don't know how long the door has been like that. I immediately went back into the office and explained the situation and the young man in the office took my information and asked if it would be OK to keep my key there so they would not have to call me when someone comes there to fix it. I went back there two weeks later to collect my key and I was then told by the same gentleman that it has not been fixed yet and that the manager usually makes the arrangements for someone to come out and fix it. At this moment I'm totally pissed because I have a bunch of things in there, the door is half cracked open and any animal can get in there and there is a nice coating of dust on my items in there. The gentleman told me to contact the manager, Trisha tomorrow which I did and she was so rude. I explained to Tricia that I have a unit there and the door is cracked open and it's been 2 weeks and counting and nothing has been done yet. I advised her that I don't know if animals have been able to get in there and there is a good coating of dust. Tricia became very defensive and started talking over me loudly stating "WELL THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET AN OUTSIDE UNIT, THINGS ARE DUSTY". I then stated to her that I would be stupid to think that things would not get dusty in my storage unit but the amount of dust in there is due to the door being open as it is heavily coated. Tricia then kept cutting me off stating that she has to check with her District Manager about the ticket to fix my unit and that she will get back to me. It is now two days later and no call from Tricia. I decided to call back this morning to check on the status and she advised me that she has not called me back because she has not received a call back from her maintanece man of when he can come and fix the door. This means that she never placed a call in to have this fixed until I called her. A nice follow up call to let me know what was going on would have been nice. This is unacceptable! I pay my months rent every time on time since 2012 why should I have to deal with bad customer service. I have not had any problems with anyone there but this lady is a bad representation of this company. I will be taking my things out of this place and moving to Walk In Closet Self Storage. I refuse to continue to give my money to someone who cannot provide good customer service when I'm paying for service with my hard earned dollars. If you want to give your hard earned dollars to someone for bad customer service and if you want rats, rent a unit here and ask for Tricia. read more

We have been storing our equipment and furniture for our business for the past 10 months and we have had absolutely no problems. Customer service is excellent , the lady in the office is very pleasant and very courteous since day one. We have not had problems with rodents or water damage like some of the other storage units we have used in the past. I would recommend Public Storage for anyone , personal or business who needs to use such facility. Great job Public Storage of Randolph read more
