I was stuck behind the exit gate for 15-20 minutes. Using the app to open the gate and the orange pillar to enter my code didn't work. I tried calling the staff inside the building and honk and no one answered. When I was on the phone trying to connect to the property manager of the building the phone line immediately disconnected twice. Which is incredibly frustrating seeing as how would anyone get an hold of them? After sitting on hold with the main line, I was greeted by someone who was not on site and told me to go through the entrance gate. Only after she gave me a hard time about verifying my account when I shared information that was available when I couldn't readily get to my drivers license. She refused to let me verify my account in any other way before helping. Which after waiting and being stuck for 15 minutes, she should have recognized stress was already high and she refused to be helpful in recognizing that as she proceeded. Next time I'm calling the fire department to get me out because this took entirely too long and I was not handled with care or consideration. The customer service overall between no signage saying the gate was broken, not being able to reach the property manager, poor phone line management and being on the phone with someone who wanted to make my circumstances more difficult is why I will be reconsidering my options. Around two hours later the property manager called me apologizing and saying the laser beams weren't lined up on the gate and they had that issue the day prior. So again if they knew the exit gate wasn't opening or wasn't functioning properly the day before, why wasn't there any signage indicating that, what to do, or who to see or call to be let out? Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had anywhere when it comes to being stuck and not being able to rely on employees who should be able to handle it better. Wasn't offered a discount for a month or anything. What if I or someone with me had a medical emergency?? Whack, lame and money hungry. Public storage, DO BETTER. read more

Basically a scam, would give 0 stars if I could genuinely, every month the price would raise because "storage demand has risen", despite half the units around me remaining vacant the entire time, in the span of a year my unit raised from $120 to $287, ridiculous. And when I complained all I was told was to cancel my rental or piss off. The artificial "demand" is bullshit and this company should be ashamed of their greed. read more

ASHLEY NEEDS A RAISE!!! Not only did she give me the most friendliest greeting upon my arrival, but she helped me with my lock that was eaten up by the metal roll up mini garage door. Public Storage, y'all owe me a lock! Anyway, Ashley's willingness to drop whatever closing duties she was working on to come to my rescue with a fantastic attitude was a great customer service experience! EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!! Also, Derek the manager was pleasant as well. All my interactions I've had in the past at this location and others have been pleasant, but ASHLEY gave me the best customer service experience! Needed a unit for just a couple of weeks but I had a very good experience at this location. I signed up online, everything was ready just as it said it would be. Although, I didn't have much communication with the office, what little I did, they were very helpful, courteous and respectful. read more

Our trailer with three generations of family belongings was stolen on December 24th, 2022. We found this out this morning when my father called to ask why he was not charged for the month of February. No police report was filed to my knowledge, and they only attempted to notify us with one phone call on December 26th, which I confirmed today on the phone with Self-Storage corporate. No letter, no email, no follow-up phone call, but they did charge us for the month of January. They also cancelled my fathers service without telling him on January 2nd. The same day they charged us $164 for the month of January, to store a vehicle only they knew was stolen. DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE. In other comments I have read that other negative reviewers were locked out of the facility due to negative reviews. I have 0 worry about retaliation because everything my father and family had there is long gone, because the thieves took it on December 24th, and we only found out about it today. The on-site managers comment when I spoke to her on the phone today trying to find out why they did not tell us: "I just work here." read more

It's very easy and quick to be able to pay for my first storage unit online was immediately sent my storage unit number and access codes to be able to enter the building super helpful fast service as far as the online aspect haven't been able to talk to anybody at the actual facility yet so I will let you know what I think I'm able to talk to an actual person at the facility read more

Went to move into my unit yesterday. We drove almost 2 hours from our home to get there. My fault for not paying attention to the address. The rep I side was nice and friendly. She showed us which door to go to, since our unit is on the 4th floor. The outside door is VERY hard to open. It took me a couple tries before I just pulled REALLY hard to open it. The door smashed my toes badly. The big toe bled all day yesterday. It's very swollen and painful and I'm pretty sure the nail is going to fall off. Please fix the door!!! I was thoroughly not impressed with my experience. I called 12 times and was unable to reach anyone other than a voice-mail. I did not get information on how to locate my storage unit. Only the building itself. Upon figuring out how to get inside to locate my unit I was met by a huge mess from the ongoing construction. They had no warnings or signs to tell me the interior of the building was under construction. Instead the ground was littered with nails and excess insulation. There was scraps of aluminum diamond plate sheets that were laying around and leaning up against the entry walls ( with extremely sharp and exposed edges ). All of the carts that were meant to be used by customers to help move their items were littered with bare insulation and scraps from trim pieces. Deeming them unusable. My unit itself has exposed nails in the sheet rock and no lighting. Overall I'm extremely disappointed with my experience and am glad I'll only be needing the unit for a few short months. This building is a hazard and a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more
