I have been a renter here since 2014. I used this to supplement a lack of storage for vehicles, trailers, tools, and keepsakes at a small home nearby. I have occupied two spaces in that time, gradually downsizing from a 10x25 to a 10x15. My review reflects the experience of a long term customer of units with exterior roll-up doors. Simply put, my advice to you is to not rent for more than a year (expect about $100/mo increase EVERY year or so) and ONLY store your valuables in sealed plastic containers due to occasional pest issues. Full detail below. Do not use this as long-term storage to supplement a lack of storage at home. Their pricing is downright predatory, and there is no concept of customer loyalty. Once they know you are settled in they will continuously increase the monthly rent. As I sit here and make plans for downsizing posessions and finally getting out of here, the listed monthly rent for my current 10x15 external access unit on their website is $139/mo whereas my bill has been $637/mo for the past several months after 3 years in this unit (which started at $130/mo in 2022). On-site management has no control over pricing and simply advises moving to a new unit in order to start they cycle over, which is absolutely ridiculous. Do not store your possessions in anything other than plastic tubs with tight fitting lids. At some point, the building was overrun with rats. My unit was very orderly, with everything on shelves along the walls and my small camper parked in the middle. I originally used some cardboard boxes and not everything had lids. Rats poop and urinate at will, so many items and boxes became stained with rat urine and feces. Yes, insurance could help with this, but how do you insure keepsakes, and how is that insurance going to help you with decontaminating and repackaging your entire storage unit? Management was no help despite several months of complaints. I trapped several rats myself and went around and sealed up any cracks and crevices where they snuck in from adjacent units, but they kept coming. I heard that a nearby restaurant was storing food in one of the units and the neighboring unit looked like it belonged to a hoarder. I fought the rats because I was too settled into my unit, which was one of their largest ones. New management arrived at some point and finally hired an exterminator. And then there's the ant infestation in the roof somewhere that led to dead ants everywhere, but that's another story. Also, their grounds management blows the dirt against the doors which pushes it underneath, resulting in everything in your unit getting covered in dust. Because of the predatory rent increases I eventually sold the family camper and proceeded to downsize into a different unit, where I traded rats for dust. Do not count on on-site management to solve any real issues. There's a lot of turnover and some are better than others. Like I mentioned earlier, in my experience most have been unresponsive and without the power to address predatory pricing and address infestations. The site has gotten some attention lately with new paint, etc., but given my history and experience here I can't wait to get out. I'm sure some of them can be nice, but my review is based upon their ability to respond to real customer issues. Minus one star for filth. Minus one predatory pricing. Minus one star for service. Otherwise it's convenient if you live nearby and need a short-term arrangement. read more

So I'm trying to be generous with four stars because I've only had this space for one day and I've rented there eight years ago and 22 years ago when there was staff always available. Talking to a live person is always so helpful, but I've been to more than one of these locations and it's very rare to find a person in the office. I wish i could give Paula more than 5 stars. She went above and beyond. I came in to check out the unit day before move and I realized I needed to get the next size bigger. I went in and was expecting that I couldn't switch immediately and have it ready and available but I went into the office to see anyway. She went above and beyond. Made it possible did the work no matter how last minute I was being. The whole time she had a smile on her face and was up for amazing friendly conversation. The whole time I was apologizing for being difficult and it really didn't bother her at all. Literally 10 star employee made everything so easy and so understanding the entire way. Would give zero stars if that was an option. They raised my rent $60/month after 6 months, which is now a rate that is $60 more than what they are advertising online. I brought my own lock after about a month and they would not refund me or credit my account for the $30 lock of theirs I was forced to use. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Would never recommend them and would never use them again. This was the worst run business I have ever been involved with, closed on the Friday after Thanksgiving, I get that but then you have to have someone answer the phone. This is a place where people have access to their belongings every day, 7 days a week 52 weeks a year, when they need access to those things it's then and not three days later. No one was there when I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, so I filled out the online application form and obtained my storage unit. I then phoned the central dispatcher to get the gate code. It didn't work. To open the gate, I also needed to have my ID verified and there was no employee on the premises. On the advice of the dispatcher, I then went to a separate Public Storage location to get my ID verified. Once again, no one was there. On my third trip three days later, no one was there to verify my ID, but the dispatcher approved me remotely. Another irritant: When applying for the rental, you must agree to pay a $15/month insurance fee. The first month's fee is waived and you can elect to opt out later, but I don't want this service and I don't want to have to go through yet another phone tree to cancel it. I will never use Public Storage again. read more

Watch your charges! The advertised price may say only $1 for the first month but that's only the remainder of the first month you rent. Charges occur on the 1st of every month (regardless of when you start), so if you start in the middle of the month you don't get a full month at that rate. Additionally, you are REQUIRED to buy renters insurance (or provide proof your homeowners insurance covers storage units) AND you are REQUIRED to purchase one of their locks or bring one in and get it "approved." Finally, at most storage locations, you can drive up, reach out the window, and punch in your code. But at the Corby Drive location, you have to get out of your vehicle for both entering and exiting in order to type it in. A minor convenience, yes, but just adds to the frustration of using this particular location. read more

Just booked my unit online, so haven't moved in officially yet. However it was incredibly easy to make a reservation! They called me immediately and were very accommodating. Best prices around! Charity (who helped me check in) is incredibly kind and runs a great ship. Very satisfied! I toured my unit and got my keys within 2 days of inquiring. I also got 50% off my first month, but because I moved in halfway through the month the discount applies forward into the second month. Two discounts in one! read more

The woman who works there during the week was incredibly helpful. I needed to have family members access my unit because I moved out of state. She made sure I got faxed the needed forms, she clearly explained the process to me, and told me when the manager would be there so I could coordinate with family members. She also thought to tell me, since I'd be closing out the account, to remove the automatic bill pay. This Public Storage is really nicely situated tucked behind a medical center. The unit I rented had a great tall door, which is something that other storage units I've rented lacked. I had a great experience renting a storage unit here. I had never rented a storage unit before and Kimmy at the front desk made this crappy moving process really smooth for me. She was extremely informative and just really kind. The location is super private which made it feel safe. I have zero complaints about this particular facility. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone who needs a storage space. FYI, locks are not provided so just be ready to pay for a lock when you sign up.
