Nice clean facility. Seems real secure with cameras, plenty of lights and on-site manager. Managers were accommodating and outgoing.

I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. in the end this guy ruined my 2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

They were fast, efficient, and handled everything with care. They communicated clearly throughout the entire process, keeping us informed and making sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. Highly recommend Luxury Moving for anyone looking for reliable and professional moving services.

Good peeps! Don't expect a lot of chatting, they are there to get the job done and they even hold each other accountable regarding timing. I was joking with one of them and another subtly tapped his "wristwatch" to him. Wasn't rude at all! I liked that they were respectful of our time/money. It was hard for me to stay out of their way while they were packing and loading because they were working in every section of the house, luckily this meant I was able to get a few other things done outside while they did their thing. Unloading was a pleasant experience, and they were gracious about our requests to switch items to different rooms. Yana was our point person this time and she did a great job hustling and managing the team. We were expecting our cost to be higher, so we walked away smiling for many reasons. We'll use them next time, too! Thanks Yana and team.

The team showed up and were really nice and professional and got to work right away. After just a couple of hours our closets and drawers were as organized as they have ever been! And on top of that we also now have a very easy system in place so that we can maintain this on our own. Big thanks to the team, they were so good that I also plan to hire them to organize my office and help me implement some better ways to manage paperwork.

All my deceased parents' stuff, mine, and my kid's. Holy moly. I found Big Rocks. Whitney and Kayla came and did a consultation and walked through my house with a mover they work with. I hired both Big Rocks and the mover. (See separate review for the mover.) Big Rocks was amazing in a lot of ways, especially with the " rightsizing" i.e. helping me get rid of things. There was a LOT of Janet as Elsa " let it go" happening. They are REALLY good at that. I let a ton go. It took a lot of hours and five organizers to get us packed and out. At $85/hr per organizer, that is expensive. Make sure you understand their admin costs, travel costs, and that you are in agreement about any cleaning. I was desperate and did not review their contract as well as I should have. And check out their invoice before you pay your final bill so you don't have any surprises. If you do use them to move and have the funds, let them unpack you and coordinate on move day. I didn't do this. The boxes are mostly labelled (not all) and color coded for each room (they still didn't all land in the right places) but I still cannot find things. I have no idea where my basket of  regular favorite clean everyday clothes landed and have so far opened 8 boxes marked  "Janet clothes". A box marked " living room" had one lamp base but no 2nd matching lamp, no shades, no bulbs, and a ziploc marked " octopus bulbs" with one bulb out of 5 for my office floor lamp. I haven't found the missing items yet. It is pretty darn overwhelming and frustrating. Oh well. BTW my mom's art and my art were all packed beautifully. Of the women who helped me, Kayla and Andrea were especially compassionate, kind, and amazing but I am grateful for all of the ladies' help. If you have a smaller project like a garage or closets I would highly recommend them. I would have liked to tip them but I completely ran out of money. Anyway, just do not accumulate so much stuff like we did. Marie Kondo the heck outta your life! Do not wait!
