Finally got online to their chat to get through the gate. Their system never sent me the door code to get in. Their chat had to tell me. It was so annoying. I also didnt know how to get out. You have to enter the gate code again to get out. It would be nice to have that instruction available. I dont know why they have open hours when nobody is there working. They sell locks inside with nobody around to check you out.

They raised old tenants' rent without prior notice for hundreds of dollars per month, while the same size unit costs are much lower even with great discounts to trick new tenants to move in. I had a 10x16 for a long time, the new company moved in and changed hours from 24/7 into 6A-9P. Management kept changing, none of the issues were actually addressed since the person I talked to was no longer there when I check with the company again.

They increased the price quickly. In May 2025, they raised the rent to $66/month, and they just notified me that on February 2026, the rent would increase to $86/month. That's a 30% increase every 9 months, a 70% increase in a year and a half. I'm moving my stuff out before the next rent increase goes into effect. If I were to do it again, I would only consider Public Storage for short-term rental (less than a year).

I was looking for a 5x10 space. My monthly payment was $54 with insurance which is why I chose this place. This was reasonable for me. However, within a month they raised my payments to $65. Then four months later my monthly payment was already at $76 in October. In July 2019 there was another price gauging and my monthly total was increased to $96. I just got another email from them couple of weeks ago saying my price will increase to $104 starting April 2020. Luckily, I am no longer in need of this storage space and will be moving out before April 1st. However, this is no way to price gauge your customers. There is absolutely no justification for this increase. Looking at your website, you are still doing a bait and switch advertising 5x10 at $43 rate right now. Attached screenshots for proof.

I don't know what's happened, but CubeSmart on Coit has really gone downhill. I've posted 3 pics of what it's looked like for weeks now (end of April 2024). It's disgusting. There's garbage everywhere. The gate is always open; I don't know if it's broken or what, but I can't remember the last time I saw it locked. There's no one in the office, either. Nevertheless, they've raised the rents (of course). I vacated my unit, and I gave written notice via email but I haven't received a reply, confirming that they're aware of this. I've also made numerous phone calls, but no one has answered the phone, so I've left 3 voicemails stating that I'm moving out, and requesting someone call me back to tell me when someone will be in the office so I can turn in my keys and lock, but so far, none of my calls have been returned. My experience with…read morethis company has been nothing short of appalling due to a severe rat infestation in their Plano (500 Talbert Dr.) facility. Despite attempts to address this issue with the management, they have failed to take any meaningful action or accountability. When I went to load up a few things from the unit we are renting (a supposed TEMP CONTROLLED, & INDOOR) a few weeks ago, I noticed rat droppings and a horrid smell emitting from our unit. It was also extremely hot in the building which I thought was odd considering we are paying for temp controlled. I was alone so I hurried grabbed a single item I needed and went on my way. I knew something was off. So when I went back today to retrieve more items, I was appalled at the amount of DEAD rats in my unit. We weren't able to maneuver around or step into the unit without possibly stepping on a carcass. Absolutely horrific. And the smell, I'm sure you can imagine. Upon discovering the infestation, we immediately contacted the management, expecting prompt and effective measures to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, after 50 phone calls that led to voicemail, we were able to get ahold of the district manager, Mr. Callan and not only did they downplay the severity of the issue, but they also showed a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of their customers' belongings. On top of that - they immediately started to blame it on a customer "potentially" having food in their unit. The lack of responsibility and transparency in handling such a serious problem is unacceptable as this clearly has been an issue that was not immediately addressed. It is incredibly disheartening to see a company operate with such a lack of integrity. Customers trust storage facilities to keep their possessions safe, yet Public Storage has failed to uphold this basic obligation. I strongly urge anyone considering using their services to think twice, as the risk of damage to your belongings and the frustration of dealing with unresponsive management is simply not worth it. This experience has been a costly and stressful ordeal, and all of mine and my roommates belongings are completely ruined. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and prompts Public Storage to address their serious, disgusting shortcomings as we will be taking legal action.

I really like that management lives onsite & is always very friendly. This location is clean and well lit. The downgrade in the star rating has to do with how the price jumps drastically and often. With the Labor Day special online, a small unit is currently $36 for first month. So regular monthly rate would be $72 going forward.. However after many years of being a loyal customer, our bill just increased AGAIN ...& for the SECOND time this year!!! $140/month total is too much imo ...especially since another increase is prob around the corner. I guess it's time to call around :(
