I have three storage units at this facility and overall it's been OK after all. It's a storage facility. I am supposed to have access to my units within the operating hours every single day. Today I went there with the moving truck moving help to unload one of the units that contained all of my mothers belongings. When we arrived The parking lot was roped off because they had resealed the parking lot without any notification. I was unable to access my unit. The attendant was extremely rude and when I voiced my frustration, she said I don't care! She told me that I will not be able to drive on that parking lot for 48 hours so I had to pay the movers truck rental in disappoint my mother and they don't care! My advice don't rent from these people read more

I have had my unit here for almost two years. My rent has been raised by over $20 a month (which happened right away) and services have been removed. The garage door finally works well with a code. It was broken the first six months or so. They only have one employee working in the office at a time, and although they are very nice, they are usually gone, checking locks. That means you can't find them to talk and they never answer the phones. The light outside of my unit has been busted for over a year, and I cannot see inside of my unit. I have asked them to replace the bulb several times, and each time they say they are waiting for approval to buy a pack of bulbs from corporate. Waiting for light bulbs for 9 months? They also say they have lights you can check out at the front desk...but again, they are never there. Apparently tenants can no longer use the dumpster without asking an employee to unlock it. But again, you can never find one. There was also a flood on my floor at one point. Thankfully my stuff was fine. So basically, I pay for a cleanish facility to check my locks, raise my rent, and take away services. Glad I finally have time to clean it out and leave. read more

The price was great when I signed up for a unit. The only thing I didn't like about this particular location was the fact that my unit was in the basement and every time we took a load down we had to put in a code to use the elevator. It got really tedious and frustrating because it would time out so quickly. I like the fact that you are not outside unloading. read more

This public storage is by far the worst one I've ever dealt with. I finally got a call back from corporate to get my money back after having to call the BBB and the manager at corporate said he would mail me a check but still nothing has come in the mail. It's been 5 months now and they won't give me back my $47 after I cancelled and never even moved in! They are thief's and liars! Chad at corporate told me he would follow up with me once he found out if they mailed the check and never did and it's been weeks since. Don't ever use this storage place, it's overpriced, too small and if anything goes wrong, the management will never fix it and hope you just go away and stop calling. The BBB was informed the issue was resolved which is NOT the case. I will be filing yet a second complaint tomorrow. Watch out peeps! read more

Very bad area very cheap unit, the cheapest i could find actually. First day i got there at 8 am and there was 2 cars waiting to get into the gate without a code. I typed in the code that public storage gave me and 2 cars followed me in and there were people inside the garage (you have to go into a garage before getting to your unit) they got out of their cars and as it appeared to me they were trying to get into the next gate code to get into the units. They were unsuccessful and left when another car left! Sketchy! read more

We have been customers of the Public Storage facility at 24th Avenue and Northern for several years. It was originally a new facility owned by a different company and was run very smoothly. Now, as a Public Storage facility, there have been numerous challenges that we have experienced, including the garage doors being inoperable for many months, the carts no longer easily accessible and the rent being raised without any discussion with the customers. We ended our relationship with Public Storage earlier this week, moving out on September 25th. Rather than receiving a Thank you for the years of being customers, we were treated extremely rudely by one of the employees named Damien, who had absolutely no idea how to treat customers, much less Senior citizens. Based on his behavior, I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I am sure there are other storage facilities in Phoenix that treat their customers with the respect they deserve. read more

This facility has gone downhill in the year we've been using them. There aren't carts anywhere to be seen so we had to carry our heavy things down to our truck and we're in our 60's ! There was glass in the elevators and trash throughout the building. Then once we were ready to leave, we realized their door didn't work and we had to wait 20-30 minutes until someone was finished and could move their car. I will never use this place again !!!!!! It is nice and clean I paid on line in the parking lot and the unit was already read with a lock that I purchased from them The only reason I didn't give this public storage 5 stars is because I rented a downstairs unit and thought it was on the ground floor, but it was in the basement. Our family has never used a storage facility before. The online registration was simple and facility location was right off the freeway easy access. First day we were told ok to take the lock we came back at almost closing the next day to find another lock placed on our unit. We caught an employee by the name of Jeremy driving off in his car we explained our situation and without hesitation he removed other lock and explained that a lock must be on unit at all times. Jeremy was very courteous and we appreciate his assistance without his help we would of had to drive back home with a full trailor. Thank you Jeremy !! read more

The process of renting a unit was smooth and efficient. Since then, though, I've come to see that the bathrooms are out of order a lot. A young woman employee with little regard says to use the men's room and acted like she didn't understand why I had not figured that out myself. Getting a cart requires leaving my I.D. at the office and they'll leave for the day before you get it back. Also, if I stand still for too long the lights in my unit and in the hall go off, prompting me to wave my arms a lot. The timer should be set longer. And when I'm still for 10+ minutes inside my unit (like right now) and I'm still sweating, that DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR "CLIMATE CONTROLLED". The huge rollup door is broken in the "shut" position. I watch people load entire trucks through the tiny walkin door while it's 115 degrees. Ridiculous! Each time I come, I walk the parking lot and pick up nails and screws because I've already borne the expense of replacing a tire. I reserve my storage space for May 31st on May 28th I tried to cancel it I couldn't cancel it online I couldn't get in touch with the office I left several messages no one ever returned my call I went by the office no one was was working but other people were trying to get to the office that had store spaces there they charged me for something today and I've never moved in the space never could cancel the space and I'm sure you're not even going to return my money that I paid for that I couldn't get in the first place so I'm very disappointed and when I signed online they said you could cancel the reservation at any time that is not true I tried three or four times to cancel my reservation but the online site would not let me do it and now I'm being charged for something I never even used won't be coming back even though I never went in read more

Wow after reading the Yelp reviews here and the reviews they control on their website while on hold for 40 min trying to reach a district manager.My next move is to sell my Public Storage stock that I purchased in 1995 at the IPO, when this company founder and management cared not just about profit and outward appearances, they knew middle income Americans and Veterans paid those profits. So this review like the others will get buried by some phony or old review like the Mark Neuhart review from 2016 that was showing as recent over the heart wrenching review from 4/7/23 by the person that was threatened with loitering by management. This fits the authoritarian rule that the manager seems to believe is her right or that she is the Granddaughter of B Wayne Hughes and doesn't answer to stockholders or the board of directors. I use the facility as an overflow for my Good Will habit and jokingly refer to it as junk, so rarely is it a necessity or emergency for me to access the facility at 8150 N 24th ave. I won't even bring up the roll up door being broken for 3 months, the elevators being broken or shut off, and staff not present, office locked more than it's open, raising rates and that the NE stairwell has feces and chocolate milkshake smeared from the basement to the 3rd floor and filthy bathrooms are a testament to the managers attitude. Since previous reviews covered most of these. In fact for my first 5 months having my account on autopay with my Amex platinum card I thought the place closed with the sales office and only discovered different when an employee who was always helpful, going above his duties to help asked me to write a google review for him, his name was Cody and he's either moved on or been promoted. So I wait for a district manager to call and will see how far up the chain this attitude goes. My issue is a safety issue and my next complaint will be to Phoenix Fire department since they decided that at 9 PM the auto system that runs the elevators and roll up doors and basically eliminates human employees as we seem to be pushing in every business. Doesn't anyone remember The Terminator? Anyway sorry so they don't have a sign posted or a clock, an announcement, email nothing to notify you that at 9:00 sharp you are locked in! The stairwells are locked at all floors except exit that sets off an alarm and costs you a fine. So I show up before 9 and lost track of time and get very poor cell service at the location but when i attempt to leave the system shows locked. Well i'm well rounded with equipment and can drive, fly or sail pretty much anything within reason but they also put some cheesy Amazon ching chong combo lock panel cover over the manual control panel for the roll up door, at this point I'm more than a little pissed, this is a safety/ fire issue, there is no sign or instructions, emergency number, or directions. So I contemplate driving my Tahoe through the big glass roll up, so thats why it was boarded up for 3 months...I think about calling 911 but being a shareholder that's not a good image and takes limited resources away from more important crises. So I proceed to examine and remove the panel lock installed over emergency switch.They have cameras everywhere so all this is recorded,. I assume i will get a call from management tomorrow as the other time before they had this new no notification full lockdown. I was late leaving and had my Dog with me, since i was last to leave removed her leash because i was pushing a big cart full of junk. I left 45 min late and received a call with a message saying i broke the curfew and leash law rules. At this point I decide to clear out the unit. Everything came to a head after being locked in twice replacing the panel without damaging anything I get a call from the manager using her rude tone of voice telling me i'm in violation and they are terminating my lease, I say i'm moving out and what you call curfew violations are safety violations where you locked me in or kidnapped me and a fire hazard. I hang up mad but rent was paid by auto pay on the first so i log in and turn off the auto pay and make a note to be out before the 1st which is today. I go to finish emptying my unit on Saturday the 29th 4 days before rent is due and she has locked me out of system and put a red lock on my unit. So keep the junk sell it or whatever but don't send me a bill for clean up or I'm coming after your job and complaints to Phx Fire, Osha and any other agency, that might take issue with your policy of locking the doors without regard for who may be inside. The trespassing threat was icing on the cake and i will be speaking with California. Someone at corporate better have a talk with this manager before the place is empty. read more

Very easy online reservation/rental services. We didn't even have to speak to anyone in person, no paperwork to drag through, no line or wait. We reserved and paid online and when we got to the storage facility we already had an access code and just went straight to the unit. Only things I didn't like is they should show a photo of the exact unit your renting before you pay. Also I don't like that they close at 9 but I may be biased on that opinion as I really want a 24 hour storage but can't seem to find any I like, and I'm used to having access until at least 10pm at night. This storage place has a great and very clean set up. I would recommend to friends and family if they ever need a storage unit, especially for the price. I pay about 160$ for a 10x10 elsewhere and I can get a 10x20 here for the same price. read more

I needed a storage unit fast and with the pandemic I found that Public Storage was the only way to go. It was very easy and left the lock in the storage unit. It's an inside facility in Arizona so it's great for the weather my stuff won't melt away in the heat. I highly recommend. And if your late they don't charge a high rate where you can't get your stuff back. I rented out one at a different place that wasn't Public Storage before I rented here and it was a nightmare. I've used public storage before at a different location and had an okay experience, but this time it was not good. I called to reserve a unit, which was easy enough and they helped me get an appointment scheduled for the yesterday so I could go check out the unit and finalize my rental. They then forwarded my call to the property manager to confirm the appointment. When I showed up to the property yesterday at the scheduled time, the office was locked with no one inside and no one answered the phone. I sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for someone to show up, but no one did. There was another person that had also been waiting there for a long time before I arrived and left shortly after I got there and they also had the same issue. I then tried calling the corporate number, which I waited on hold with for another 20 minutes before I just hung up and left. I called the local property's number again this morning and left a message, then called again this afternoon, and have not heard back. I'm moving this week and needed to get into a unit by today, so I decided to give up on Public Storage and instead went to StorAmerica, which I've had a much better experience with today. I called them this afternoon and within two hours I was already moving my stuff into a unit, which was both larger and cheaper than my unit at Public Storage would have been. I would not recommend going with Public Storage--or at least not this location. Save yourself the time and find another company. read more
