Public Storage - NOT A SOUL - Self Storage Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Disgraceful business. I would stay very far from this location, especially if individuals such as Elham works there. I was there helping a client move out of her storage unit on the 1st day of the month. She's elderly and has been paying for the unit over 10 years. They decided to charge her for the entire month ($240 for their smallest unit) knowing she was cleaning out and leaving in the next hour. 9h of the month had passed and the entire unit had been swept and emptied. When asked if anything could be done there was not even the slightest inclination to discuss further. Absolutely terrible and shameful way to treat another person, especially the elderly. read more

This place is a joke , paid for a mouth here and the day of they couldn't give me a gate code to get in becomes the "systems were down" nobody answers on the customer service line and the lady at the desk say she doesn't have access to open the gate lol read more

The Lady Elham that lady is the Best. I don't agree that if I upgrade I can't get a discount. But Elham took time showing me multiple unit to upgrade to a Unit that was best for me. I have to say thank you to her I got a unit that fit me perfectly thank you so much for your service because of her I give a 5 Star thank you Again read more

I wish I could give a minus 10. We talked to several companies before reserving storage for our Motorhome and tow vehicle here, weeks in advance. The man on the phone told us it was no problem on putting them together and helped us figure out the size we would need. We are staying 6 weeks. They charged us half for the first month prorated of course , half off December, then a full month for January even thou we are staying 7 days in January because they won't prorate for 7 days because they have to charge a full month if you go over at all. We were not happy but agreed. WHEN we got here the woman at the desk said "Oh I've been meaning to call you" and told us we could NOT put both vehicles in one site, something hidden in the tons of paperwork we had to sign but they would happily rent us another space at the above terms. Several hundred dollars more. If she had called we would have been able to make other arrangements. They were totally rude and demanding. We do not have time to find another place as we leave tomorrow early am. Complete crooks and they know it. Then she made us wait for hours while she helped other customers. Did I mention they had a spot with two vehicles in it down from us?? Run. read more

I choose Public Storage, for the great customer satisfaction they gave to me. Their online services is amazing and very easy and convenient to their customers. Their prices are great to people who cannot afford costly prices like other storages do. As long as I need storage, I will continue using Public Storage. read more

I just rented a unit at this location and was shocked when I arrived on a Friday night to see that the security gate was standing open. I was still open when I left. I left a voice mail that night and never received a return call. I went back the next day and the gate was still wide open. I then called and the person that answered explained that the gate is broken and a repair person will be out on Tuesday to fix it. I asked if they shouldn't hire a security guard until it's closed and she said they have no plans to do that. So for 3 days it's going to sit open and the only thing preventing thieves from driving in a moving truck and stealing every customer's belongings is the little locks on the doors! read more

Renters beware... you may think you're getting a great rate on your storage needs until they decide after 6 months to raise your rent without notification. We went from $187 to $219 and when we called about it we were told that paragraph 2 indicates they can increase our rates at any time and we wouldn't be eligible for any kind of reduction until we'd been renting for at least a year. Make sure you read the fine print, I wish when the gentleman who was going through my initial paperwork (like 8 or 10 pages) that he would have made this clear or known to me... instead he only mentioned what they wanted me to hear. Well done on his part, he was smooth and friendly. So don't make the mistake I did, don't sign in a rush even tho moving is always stressful, be sure to read the fine print. Also, they don't do a great job of keeping the property clean, find nails, screws and trash throughout the property daily. Even caught one in my trailer tire. They do not repair burnt out lights or clean units of spider webs or bugs before you move in. Definitely research competitors is my advice, this will be the last time we use public storage for my families needs. I prefer to give my business to companies who are up-front, honest and not trying to take advantage of people when they aren't looking. read more

The initial price is pretty good. That's a good place to go to if you're in a pinch and only want to stay maybe one or two months. Any longer than that and you going to get screwed. The rate increase is ridiculous. But you get what you pay for. read more

One of the employees called me to come in on Friday when my move in date was Monday they had me pay first and then showed me paper work and when I asked about the prorated rent they said it's because I'm signing today when they were the one that asked me to come in early...they over charged me for days I'm not even using the unit and tried to blame me and said its because I set up an appointment but they were the ones that called me and suggest i come in Friday...I will never use this company again read more

Kay & Dena were very helpful. Went above and beyond to assist me. Very knowledgeable. Unfortunately I couldn't rent a unit at there location due to unavailability but I definitely would refer anyone to that store. Thanks ladies for your help read more

IF I COULD ELECT NO STAR I WOULD. ** You're better off leaving your things on the street and paying a homeless man to watch it, they have better customer service and respect for people then this company** Mind you I haven't even had the unit for a month. Pro -NOTHING Cons (hope you have some time) - The Regional/ Divisional Manager John G. never returns calls. Leaves his employees out to dry, and frankly is just an unhappy rude man getting a check who (if you can get a hold of him) does not care at all about customers or being respectful. - a million hidden fees -units come dirty and with broken doors (why have insurance if the door doesn't even lock with the lock and key you all try to sell to customers) -employees are misinformed and everyone has a different answer (do you all train them at all ?) which is unfair to them cause they are just trying to do their job -Yelling at customers is a regular thing (but I understand when that is what your boss does to customers that's how some employees learn to deal with guest) - they do not follow there contract ( three violations of my contract and I had a lawyer review it to confirm) - insurance is a joke if something does happen your S.O.L. (Hope nothing happens) read more
