I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Flex Moving & Storage's Orlando market was, without question, one of the worst moving experiences I've ever had.
Moving is already stressful enough. The one thing you expect when you're paying professionals is professionalism. Unfortunately, Flex delivered the exact opposite.
The issues started with missed arrival times, which caused me to incur additional fees from my apartment building because my reserved loading/unloading window was missed. Yes, Flex eventually reimbursed those fees, but that should have never happened in the first place. My time and the inconvenience to everyone involved can't be reimbursed.
Then came unload day.
The crew arrived FOUR HOURS late.
To make matters worse, only two movers showed up, completely unprepared. They arrived with no tools, no hand trucks, no equipment--nothing you'd expect a professional moving company to bring. One mover even brought his child, who attempted to help move my furniture. That is completely unacceptable from both a safety and professionalism standpoint.
Because they were so unprepared and understaffed, I found myself helping move my own belongings. At that point I had one question: What exactly was I paying Flex for?
The problems didn't stop there. They assembled my couch incorrectly, forcing me to fix work that should have been done right the first time.
What should have been a straightforward unload stretched into SIX HOURS. Their delays caused me to overrun my reserved move-in slot, inconveniencing other residents in my building and leaving me embarrassed as management had to reshuffle the schedule because of Flex's failures.
Perhaps the most concerning part was hearing members of the moving crew openly criticize Flex's own processes while on the job. When your own employees don't have confidence in the operation, that's a serious problem.
I do want to acknowledge Ignacio, who genuinely tried to help resolve the situation. He was professional and did what he could. However, a small discount simply didn't match the level of service--or lack thereof--that I received. After everything that went wrong, this move should have cost me nothing.
This experience was disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating from start to finish. I trusted Flex Moving & Storage with one of the biggest transitions in my life, and they failed on nearly every level.
Update: I heard from the Social Media team and they were very apologetic on behalf of the company. She listened to me throughout the convo and made the situation better. She made sure I was heard and take. Care of.
