Excellent service. My Relocube was dropped off at my apartment complex in Florida by a very nice driver who parked in a good parking spot where the movers wouldn't have any problems. He did a great job because loading went well and afterwards my Relocube was on its way to Puerto Rico. They delivered on time. I actually received it 2 days earlier than expected which was amazing. Everyone I emailed or talked to in FL and PR was very helpful. Although it is more expensive than other moving companies, it is absolutely worth it. Once you pay, there are no hidden fees and the costs are what you expect. I used them years ago and I'm glad that I used them again. No problems. Definitely a good experience. read more

U-Pack saved my life! I was trying to transport a large heavy disassembled item from Florida to California at a reasonable cost. The first place I almost went with was a U-Haul box, but they're made of wood and have a strict limit of 2000lb, which my item would've gone over. I found UPack to be extremely reliable and professional. The phone operators over the phone were fantastic. They clearly spelled out their services and the way they worked even comparing them with their competitors. Their online communication was right on task with our move. Their trailer arrived swiftly and clean and the driver clearly explained all parts to the truck. When we arrived to our final destination the trailer was delivered and picked up in a timely manner. The only reason why only 4 stars is because I had to call with a reminder to pick up trailer. I felt their sense of urgency was lacking when it came to pick up/delivery. Definitely recommend U-Pack! PODS screwed me when they called the day OF delivery, to tell me they were out of PODS and won't have anything available until a week later. I scrambled, and found U-Pack. Got a quote online, called them, and the representative was really helpful. Got me a container away, price was a little lower than PODS. Moved from FL to PA. Don't underestimate the size of these containers. You can really fit a whole lot in them. The whole transition was really smooth from drop off, delivery to pickup. The dropping off of the unit was great. it came when expected and picked up promptly. The delivery of the full unit was rescheduled 3 times due to truck failure issues. When it arrived everything was great. but it was at least 10 days after it was originally scheduled. It was not UPack's fault entirely that the truck had issues but it was inconvenient and seriously maybe they should have a backup plan. Fortunately I didn't need my stuff promptly or I would have been perturbed. read more

We had a terrible experience with UPack. What saved us was Gerry, she helped resolve major issues that UPack in California was causing. We only used one pod but they tried to charge us for two. They got EVERYTHING wrong. Gerry gets 5 stars, NOT UPack. She definitely carries the team. Don't do UPack, they'll try to charge you for all the pods they can. They won't follow schedule for pickup. They were supposed to pick up on Thursday and we didn't get an email until that morning that it wouldn't be picked up until Friday. Friday came and went. It didn't get picked up until Saturday. Then it went down hill from there with billing. I don't understand where all these 5star reviews come from. I say they're fake. We will be making a formal complaint with them as well. read more

I used U-Pack Relocubes again for my move across the country from NYC to WA. Once again, U-Pack did an awesome job! I had only planned to need one cube and had to planned to load up much earlier in the day, but because of the horrible moving company that I hired to help me move my stuff from my third floor walk-up to the loading area just a few miles away I ended up in really stressful situation. We didn't get to the loading area until after dark. The movers refused to listen to my guidance in how to pack the cube. One of them physically threatened one of the U-Pack drivers! The foreman on shift overnight came out and checked on me multiple times and ended up letting me use an empty cube to store my things overnight so I could come back the next day to get things packed up properly with the help of a friend. This was a huge favor and I am so grateful to him for checking on me and helping me. The next day I returned with my best friend to get things organized. All the paperwork was sorted and waiting for me when I arrived! The cubes made it across the country in a timely manner, scheduling drop off was super easy and the delivery person was kind and helpful. Pickup of the empty cubes went smoothly as well. UPacks corporate support was amazing! They allowed me to reschedule up to 24 hrs before our move and were always very kind and considerate of the stress involved with a move. I only have two complaints about the local movers. One, the first person didn't explain how to lock up our belongings while we had the trailer. When I looked on YouTube, the U-Pack representative showed a key and a lock. We were to receive a key and should've been able to lock it each night. I ended up buying an $8 lock because we weren't provided anything. When I called corporate, they said we should've been able to lock the temporary wall, but there was no way to do that. My second complaint is they left a huge glob of grease, which stained our new driveway. This also was tracked into our house onto our new carpet by my small children. All in all, they were fantastic and we will use them again if we ever move. read more

I moved from Orlando, FL to Fleetwood, PA. Since my stuff was being moved from storage unit to storage unit, I was not onsite when the containers were delivered. Because of this, I had to have the staff at both storage facilities handle the U-Pack containers once delivered. Everyone that I dealt with at U-Pack was awesome! I received many phone calls updating me with the details of the delivery and pick up of the containers. I also liked that I could track the containers online when in transit. read more

Moved my mother to New Mexico from Florida using U-Pack Moving. They were very professional with every step. They dropped off the container and picked it up when they said they would. When they got to NM they kept us up to date on when they would be there and helped put together a time for delivery. I would highly recommend them if you are moving long distances. I used a U-Pack relocube for a portion of my recent move from Washington State to Florida. I used PODS for a portion as well. The move required my belongings to be in storage for 3 months. Upon arrival, my POD box was perfect. The U-Pack box, on the other hand, had a good number of cockroaches in it. After recovering from being grossed out, I was forced to purchase bug bombs and treat everything in the box. Afterwards, I needed to wash all the clothing that was affected, as well as all my kitchen and dining goods. Many things had to be thrown out because I could not wash the bug bomb chemicals out of them. When I called to report the situation, the response was, "Oh, that's a shame. We store our boxes outside, so it's likely." Really? That's it? Had I been informed of this situation prior to the move, I would never have selected U-Pack despite their lower price. I highly recommend U-Pack Moving. I used 2 of their pods to move from Denver to Florida and it cost about the same as renting a truck and driving myself. Everything went smoothly and pickups and deliveries were made on time. Just make sure you pack everything well. I used a lot of rope to secure things but bungee cords would work (and would probably be easier). It was definitely worth not having the hassle of driving a truck myself. read more

They were the worst, I stood on the phone back and forth with different people to clear up this mess and since the, finally got it all cleared up and would have used another company if I didn't need to be out of that apartment. Everyone at U-Pack was friendly, courteous and professional. Overall, the experience with them was a pleasant one and things went smoothly. However, there were a few glitches with the equipment, so I can't give a 5 star rating. First if all, when we got the trailer loaded and attempted to install the bulkheads, we discovered that one of them was in really bad shape and defective, so my husband just nailed in extra boards to reinforce it, rather than delay our move another day or more, waiting for a replacement bulkhead. The shipment arrived at the destination on time, but the bulkhead was in even worse shape by then. Fortunately, I believe our belongings survived OK, but we don't have everything unpacked yet. They also forgot to put the ramp inside before delivering the trailer to the final destination and the driver caught it as soon as we opened the trailer. He offered to bring one the next day, but we needed to get the unit unloaded ASAP, while we had help,so we had to do it without a ramp, making some items very difficult to unload and causing extra physical stress and exertion for my husband. read more

I've used them twice now, a year ago and then just the other week, to move all my "stuff" cross country and back. When I calculated the cost of renting a U-Haul, the hassle of it, and the possible risk of somebody breaking into said U-Haul while it was parked in a motel somewhere (I figure a U-haul parked somewhere is like a big blinking sign saying "steal me"), and then compared that to the cost and security of shipping by pod I decided to go with the pod system. The U-Pack pods are made of metal -- like proper shipping containers -- that are watertight, whereas some of the other pods I found from other companies were wooden, and could not guarantee the same level of water tightness. Also I like the security of this company. They have shipping locations scattered around the country (there's a map of them somewhere), but if you're transferring from one town where they have a shipping location to another town where they also have a shipping location then your pod is either on a truck that is moving or it is at one of their locations (parked on a secured lot with walls and security systems) -- their drivers NEVER stop and leave the vehicle when it is loaded except at one of these secured locations. My only suggestions are, 1) when packing the pod, try to keep the contents level... so like don't have a big stacks that can fall over in transit, and 2) Amazon sells bungee cords in bulk, you can get a bunch of them for like $22 (way cheaper than buying them individually at a hardware store)... there are lots of places along the interior of the pods to hook in the cords... use them, and use them liberally... make sure they are pulled as tight as possible around your stuff... I did this for both trips and upon arrival while everything was a bit jiggled around, nothing had fallen over and/or been broken. Also, the locks on the doors are YOURS (again amazon sells good ones), I prefer the type that put a code into -- so they can't open it once you've packed it. Again, more secure ... read more
