I also like that they have call boxes everywhere to contact the office in case you run into trouble. The facility is well maintained and offers huge units with climate control for a decent price. Mine was on an upper level which I was concerned about but the elevators are huge and they provide plenty of carts to move stuff around. The loading docks also have plenty of space which made unloading for the movers a breeze. Whole process was much easier than I anticipated, can't complain.

When I went to file a rodent damage claim, was told the storage policy does not cover pest damage! Also, lights go out after 17 min and you have to go back down the corridor to turn them on if you need more time. Why no motion sensors? When I came to get my stuff, I found that my boxes were damaged by rodents, and there were numerous rodent droppings in my storage unit. They chewed through the boxes and my items, and they left droppings everywhere. I had to throw away a lot of my items and throughly inspect and clean my remaining items, which was a monumental chore. When I contacted CubeSmart, they offered no resolution. They said that I would have to go through my insurance to get compensation even though insurance does not cover pest damage, and they refused to refund my rent. This is not a clean place to safely store your items!!

This increase is outrageous. It is unfortunate that owners of storage businesses now seem to top the list of the most unscrupulous business owners in existence. They take advantage of people simply because they can. They will get their comeuppance for their greedy behavior, because there is a God who sees what they are doing. In the meantime, I will strive to have my things removed as soon as possible, and I will never use their facility again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

While Shenika at the front desk tried to be accomodating, she clearly needs some experience in customer service. I know from experience that it's hard to juggle multiple demanding people at one time, however, being the only person in the office of a certain ethnicity, it was rather obvious that my business wasn't as important as the dead-beat who kept arguiing his way into his space that he hadn't paid for in months, the lady who continually had 'one more question' - and anyone else who walked in off of the street, etc. I waited patiently for over an hour (AN HOUR!) - only to find that the original quote for the space I'd selected wasn't the amount i was told. I walked out. CubeSmart might consider adjusting their business practices to tell people UP FRONT of all their additional fees & taxes before wasting an HOUR of someones time, only to find out that a $119.00/Month space is really a $130.00/month space. This model just sucks. I'd look elsewhere before going here. I'll stick with Public Storage, for now.

The Limerick location and its area manager are the most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered…read more Compass Storage Corporate needs to pay attention to the caliber of people they hire to interact with customers paying high dollar for sub service. My monthly due date is the 8th. Like many Americans, money is tight and I knew that I would be paying a $20 late fee - but that I also had a 5 day grace period. I started receiving phone calls on May 11 from personnel in this location telling me that I needed to pay my bill. The next phone call was on the 13th and I spoke with the representative and told her I was aware that my payment was late. All total - I received 8 phone calls and six text messages regarding my account. It was worse than a collection agency. Because I've never been this late before (groceries, gas, medication VS. paying storage who wins?) I did not know that an additional $20 was assessed four days after the first assessed penalty. I have rented from this location for over 7 years starting when it used to be Metro. I had a testy exchange with George on Saturday, who implied that I was trying to skip out on my bill and that they deal with this all the time. He also said he'd "try" to pass my concerns along to the area manager, but he's not in control of her schedule and hopefully she'd get back to me sometime this week. I was outraged and called the corporate customer service number and explained my offense. The area manager finally called me today and it was - again - an abysmal, defensive conversation. I learned that $40 is part of the "late" fees and accepted that; however, my complaint was that I was being harassed and maltreated as a longtime customer and that the texts and emails are excessive. She proceeded to interject and said she'd let me talk and now it was her turn and that because I keep interrupting her she can't help me. She essentially defended the actions of the Limerick staff and never once treated my concerns as valid. It's not about the money anymore - it's about the professional disrespect that she is green lighting. DO NOT RENT UNITS FROM COMPASS. THE LIMERICK LOCATION IS THE WORST AND SO IS THE AREA MANAGER. I cannot WAIT to get my things and leave after spending thousands of dollars over several years. The price hikes are also so out of control that it borders on extortion.
