Loved the staff at this location, they were very accommodating and even gave me a full walking tour of the facility so I could plan my move in advance and avoid any confusion. I also like that they have call boxes everywhere to contact the office in case you run into trouble. The facility is well maintained and offers huge units with climate control for a decent price. Mine was on an upper level which I was concerned about but the elevators are huge and they provide plenty of carts to move stuff around. The loading docks also have plenty of space which made unloading for the movers a breeze. Whole process was much easier than I anticipated, can't complain. read more

There was great and responsive customer service. My issue, and the reason why I gave a single star is their business practice. I was there for three months and received a notice that my monthly rate was going to be raised 70%. There was no notice, only that "extra space reserves the right to price per market conditions." I would assume that my rate would never decrease regardless. It is very unfortunate and if that is their way of doing business, I don't want any part of it. read more

It's rare that I have a problem with A Storage facility. But this place has been the worst of the worst. I've been waiting out here almost an hour for someone to let me in so I can remove my items from the unit. They have been harassing me for the past week to remove my items and I've been trying to be accommodating but they have been anything but accommodating to me. As you can see it is now 1:51 PM and the doors are now still locked. I've text I've called I've not yet received a response from anyone. There's been a line of people waiting to get in to speak with the front desk people but Quiana who is the manager does not seem to care. This woman has been very mean, Unhelpful. And speaks condescendingly to customers. At one time this was a pleasant place to do business. But since management has changed it has been one of the most horrible experiences I've ever had in dealing with a storage facility. I cannot wait to get my things out of here and I do not recommend this place to anyone to store their items. You had the hardest time getting them back and they will make it seem like it's your fault. I found another full of public storage facility which is much more, eating only a few blocks away. Total scam of a place. In less than 2 years my rates have gone up from $81 to $114. Once you have stuff in a unit it's a real pain to move it all out somewhere else and they know this so they keep raising rates expecting you'll just pay the extra rather than move. It's a shameful way to run a business and I wouldn't recommend going with a place that uses this as their business model. Their excuse is 'rising market rates' but that's an almost 50% increase. read more

I was impressed by the cleanliness and after hours setup of this facility. Plenty of hand carts available for use by renters. Carts large enough to carry furniture if needed. Code needed to access lot, building, and elevator. Can back up to garage door opening for easy Car/truck loading and unloading. Staff was pleasant and professional. read more

Today, I had the most wonderful experience at Extra Space Storage. I was helped by a very capable and kind manager on site, Ryan. He helped me change a variety of particulars on my account. Since I have had a storage unit here for quite a few years, numerous details needed updating. He was so helpful even cutting off the lock (whose key had been lost) at no charge. This storage facility has always clean and today so conveniently air conditioned (it was close to 95 outside)! If you need to store some extra stuff, I highly recommend this storage space. read more

DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! There is tons of moisture in the air and it caused mold over my good furniture! Damaging! Make matters worse the insurance company doesn't want to cover mold. The building has water all over the floors and the temperature control is not set to prevent issues. If it happened to me I'm sure the neighboring storage units also have mold. read more

The storage unit itself is great. It's very clean. I got the smallest 5x3 and it is pretty big. There is a pillar in the unit witch makes some of the space unusable witch is the only disappointing thing. Otherwise it is clean and a good space. Now. I reserved online for 18$ a month. When I went to sign up the guy told me 33$ I said no I did it online so it should be 18$. Then he said okay well it went up now it's 22$. But it was the day before that I reserved it. IT SHOULD BE THE SAME PRICE. even if they raised overnight they should honor it. I called customer service and they said we'll have someone contact you in 48 hours. This is very annoying. read more

This ESS, formerly Manayunk Self Storage, is clean, extremely secure, and well off the beaten track. The prices are great, the units spacious, and there is wide variety of unit options. Parking and unloading spaces are also good. Trash/junk disposal is not permitted on the site, which contributes to cleanliness and lack of vermin. I have yet to encounter a storage facility with as many security steps for entry and exit that this one has. Rest assured, your valuables are safe. read more
