Not a good place. When I first came in the guy there was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately the place is just shit. I have my storage unit on the 3rd floor in a building. The 2nd elevator doesn't work so you stand there waiting forever for the elevator because everyone else is moving as well. Also there are dollies you can rent but people keep the key all day. And then there is the 2 lazy girls at the desk, really I should say 1. I remember being there on the 1st to get a dolly that is in the office and there was no one anywhere. 2 girls come strolling back with fast food taking their sweet time and hour later. And top it off one of them has a miserable attitude. I hope she finds a new job soon for all of us. No note on the door - nothing. It's also really hot in that building. AC - no way. read more

Good service when i originally rented out my unit. However, I would like to remind all customers that the policy here is "at your own risk". So if you run into issues later know that they will not take responsibility. I recently discovered what looks like termites or some other insects that had chewed through some cardboard boxes. When I alerted staff they said, well you rent at your own risk here and that is why we ask all customers to get insurance. Public Storage is responsible for maintaining their grounds and buildings. Insects/termites don't come into structures that are well sealed, they are typically attracted to damp dark places which tells me there was either cracks in foundation or perhaps some rain waters got in from earlier in the year. I was only expecting to use this unit for a few months, so i thought an outdoor unit would be ok. Unfortunately this turned into 1.5+yrs of storage here. In hindsight I should have taken a unit at another Public storage location that had indoor/temp controlled options. The insurance benefit is only $250 of which $100 is deductible. I am not sure this is even worth going through the claims process for such an amount. I am still trying to get info on whether it is worth it. I don't even feel like bringing that stuff into my house now, so all that cost of storage went down the tubes in some sense. If it was indeed termites, i dont want to risk infestation at home. Ugh. Cathy was very knowledgeable and very kind! I had a very fussy 1 year old and despite her screaming, Cathy tried her best to soothe my baby while informing me of my contract. She was also so kind enough to show me 2 units as I was unsure on sizing and didn't mind the cart drive despite a fussy baby and horrible heat yesterday! She was having a rough week, but still put on a smile and still did a fantastic job - great definition of excellent customer service!! You rock Cathy. Would definitely recommend this location as they offer the $1 first month rental for new customers and the comfortability of dropping off or picking up items. read more

I needed a second unit to help my daughter with a move out of her apartment, The manager was quite nice BUT she quoted me a rental rate of $55/mo for a 10x10 unit. I asked her to remind me what they were charging for the 10x5 unit at their site I was currently renting for the past few years - answer $67. I asked why did a unit twice as large cost less - with a straight face "well corporate sets prices daily" as if this obviously explained their pricing. Oh well, I guess I should be happy I got a lower price for a bigger unit - hope it continues that way read more

The folks at Pecten Ct provided good service couple of years back. The new agents (e.g. Nicole) are clueless about the policies, lack courtesy and even a modicum of customer service. Rude to customers, and make zero effort to resolve issues. I have been a Public Storage customer for years in different locations. Very unfortunate that the Pecten Ct location does not seem to find decent customer service agents. read more

Yeah, like the other reviews say. They have only one elevator, which is always busy. They have dollies that are always being used up. No one EVER stays at the reception anyway. And this is NOT typical of Public Storage, it is THIS franchise particularly. My previous experience with other Public Storage centers have been great. read more

I was assessed a late fee even though my payments are always on time. I think whoever is receiving the payments is not properly doing the job that they are assigned to, like updating the account when the payment is received. This kind of problem sidetrack a lot of customers from their jobs. Now I have to use my break time to call the storage, the bank, etc.... that takes a lot time! read more

Cathy was amazing help this morning!! I showed up a day and a half early, completely unexpected, and totally threw a wrench in her morning ... but she was totally awesome. She welcomed me and got me on my way in a hurry. With a team of movers banging down her door early this morning eager to get things moving, she efficiently and eagerly helped us all. My aunt's had a storage at this place for years. It's a bit tricky to give directions to (our movers ended up going to the one on the other side of the street, but this one is the 2nd driveway on the left) The place seems pretty safe and the price is decent. It's a storage, what can I say? Put your junk you'll probably never use in there, and it'll be there just how you left it 10 years later.
