I cannot believe what I just witnessed. I signed a month-to-month lease 4 months ago for a small unit with a monthly fee of $34. I just got an email stating that my monthly rate is increasing to $52 dollars per month starting in 30 days. That's over a 50% increase now that my belongings are in the unit, it's absurd and should be illegal. I chatted with Customer Service and they just keep quoting section 2.2 of the contract, which says they can change prices. No matter how you cut it, it's predatory marketing, aimed at getting someone into a unit and trapping them with a higher price and then auctioning off their stuff on Bravo when they can't pay the new fees. Better Business Bureau, here I come, this is a despicable business practice, shame on these guys. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. There are literal rats dead in the hall ways up to the units. If you don't see a dead rat I promise you will smell it. Although I will admit it is most likely due to the manager being a paraplegic member of our society, but this is not a reason to harbor deadly diseases from dead rats all over the facility. Never the less this place has not been cleaned or serviced in a long time. For the money I would suggest looking into more viable options. This facility has major hygiene issues to resolve before I ever consider leaving something in that environment. read more

I am solely leaving a 5 star review because of one person at this particular establishment, and that is the Manger Kevin!! He was very helpful when it came time for me to close out my unit rental. He was patient, responsive and prompt. Made me feel like I was his only customer. I appreciate his assistance and when I decide rent another unit I will call to make sure he's still there. I am currently renting a storage space. The location is close to home and the property is always clean. Customer service is great. The rental fee turned out to be a good value for the space. I needed a lot of room. The Property Manager Kevin was very helpful and patient in answering my questions regarding the space, the prices and the facility. He also made sure my unit was clean and that my locked worked before I moved my things in. I really appreciated that. read more

Playing will-someone-be-in-the-office roulette hoping to get a cart to move my furniture. If I hadn't already put all my stuff in, I would bail and get a different place. Where to I begin with how crappy this storage unit is? Customer service? Zero stars. A bunch of unpleasant staff who greet you with a stern "can I help you." No smile, no pleasantry at all. Cleanliness is zero stars. The place is filthy. The key pads hadn't been cleaned in months. I cleaned the top half and then went to show the manager who assured me they'd clean all the keypads but they never did. Broken keypad- the door nearest my storage unit has an inoperable keypad. I've complained multiple times both directly to the staff and on social media but it's still broken. Broken garage door is also a problem. The one closest to my unit has never worked. I asked and they said it would be fixed. That was two years ago. I thought I was renting a climate controlled storage room. I moved all my stuff in in April 2017. It was a cool day. But the staff assured me it was climate controlled. Stopped by one summer day and the place was a furnace. So I immediately went up and ask them WTF. The dude told me with a straight face that if it's heated it's considered climate controlled. So you get heat in the winter but no AC in the summer. So I moved everything out that was susceptible to heat. Took me hours. Price increases- how many things double in price in three years? Nothing really except my monthly rent. This is an absolute outrage! So I called to complain and they took $25 off a month. Avoid this place like the plague if you want friendly staff, a clean place, or reasonable price increases. read more

The staff at Public Storage on Tuxedo Road are the best. They respond promptly to both phone calls and texts. They explain everything very clearly. They're very cooperative in meeting complicated requests. (I was trying to let the movers in to pick stuff up while I was out of the country.) The facility itself is spotlessly clean. It's not near my home, but our movers (Great Scott--who are also great) recommended them as near to their own offices. It was kind of hard to find, but it was definitely worth it. We have rented 3 units at this facility and, getting the best price possible by booking online ahead of time, have been very happy with the facility. All the staff, especially Kenny, who is there most of the time at the front desk, is very helpful and polite. It's generally very clean and has good security. All good except for one curious glitch: I initially signed up for autopay with my debit card, until my bank caught suspicious charges at a vendor "coincidentally" close to this Public Storage facility. With the hectic day I was having it was refreshing to know at least one thing was going as planned. From the initial phone call I received as a follow-up to a online request for a unit Ms. Ramona was a absolute joy to arriving on the property and being greeted with a smile and excellent customer service she was attentive to all my needs, explained the process thoroughly and even helped with a few last minutes items I needed from boxes to mattress covers. The unit was reasonably priced and you had full use of dollies and even a area to unload your truck for a easier move which worked out great for me because my unit wasn't far from the unloading area. The unit was clean and temperature controlled and I loved the fact they have 24hr surveillance and key code entry. Even received a follow-up call to insure I had everything I needed and if the unit was to my liking.
