Be ware of these greedy folks!! Even if you vacate your unit on the 1st of the month, they charge you for the WHOLE frickin' month!! They are more than desperate. Been a loyal customer for OVER 3 years and they won't give you a lousy 12 hours to vacate. (My movers don't move on Sunday.) Tell me, How does that harm them?? It doesn't! Buyer Beware: If I could give this place Zero Stars I would. The management is sleazy and will do anything to make more money. We had a storage unit that we hadn't been to for some time (due to being out of the country) and needed the lock removed in order to vacate the unit. Called long before the first of the month and was given the run around by Al the manager. He said "Oh, I don't know when they'll be in to help with that. It's going to take some time to get the district manager to come over and approve that. (to remove the lock)" We called back several times to check on this and on when they could remove the lock. When we went by the location to close out the unit (after getting nowhere with questioning by phone), we were then advised, "oh no, you have to pay another full month's rent before you can vacate." We then Proceeded to call the National Customer service line. These people are a joke. Rather than listen to the complaint against this office and the circumstances, we were told over and over to "refer to the contract". No help, no remedy, and then had the nerve to hang up on us. We called back and requested a supervisor. They put us through to a supervisor, which went to voice mail. We left a message and NEVER received a call back. When we did go by to pay the additional month of rent (due to them not removing the lock and ending the contract), we were told that we would have to buy a lock (their lock) for $25 in order to have the lock removed. We offered a lock we had and were told we HAD to purchase the lock from him. Next, he told us (as previously when we first requested) that he didn't know WHEN they would come to remove the lock - that it could take as long as 3 weeks. Well, guess what? After we paid for the month of storage we didn't need AND bought a lock from Al, we heard back in 2 DAYS that we could come by and clear out our storage. MORAL of this story? This man LIES. He will do anything to make you pay more. The unit was no longer needed as of 5/31/17, but we had to pay for the entire month of June and a new lock. The total for this runaround was and unnecessary $147 (which included a late fee of $50 and $25 for a new lock.) Do yourself a favor and go to nearby Cubesmart at 7825 Katy Freeway if you need storage. They will not only provide clean and safe storage, but they will treat you right as a customer! read more

Every time I come here they are on break. And it's never the same time everyday. Each day it's a different time. The front desk is definitely never available. It's beyond annoying. For example today it says they'll be back at 12:15 PM CST. It's now 1:33 PM. Get it tf together. read more

I had a lot of things leftover from a recent event I held and, even on a Sunday morning, the staff was so helpful as we called the day of to rent. It was great that they have 2 flat bed carts to help, and we even got a discount for the first month! I had planned to be out by May 31 but realized I need an extra day or two. There are storage places that won't pro-rate or they even require some length of advanced notice - not Public Storage! Al exhibited superb customer service while explaining all the next steps to me and you can even pro-rate for up to 6 days of the next month. EVERYTHING YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IN A STORAGE COMPANY, CANNOT BE FOUND HERE. Not secure. Horrible management. No concept of customer service, and simply rude. WORST. Experience. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Rented an indoor unit in August and GOT BROKEN INTO the first part on December; all the robbers had to do was pop the latch off (my lock was still locked on the latch). Management is rude, uninformed about ANY of the security features ( I asked how many cameras they had in the indoor complex and just got an "I don't know"), and the regional or district manager is as unhelpful and not interested in providing any customer service. My unit was broken into in broad daylight, in the morning, and I wasn't notified until 2:30 PM. After simply notifying me, the first thing the manger asked me was "have you had a storage unit broken into before?"...WHAT? Like this is a routine, quarterly event in everyone's life, and it's completely normal around that camp?? Not only suspicious but also not the best opening line. Basically, after not answering many of my questions while I was there I got the closing line, paraphrased, 'It happens, have a good day.' No follow up, and they will not tell you when there are break-ins, even when it on your row or even right next to yours. Roughly one month later, i got a notice that they are INCREASING the rates of my unit by $20/month (30% increase)! HA! DISGRACE of a business, and DISASTER of an experience!!! read more

BEWARE BEWARE 7715 Katy Freeway I would be very cautious of renting storage at this location or with public storage AT ALL. I was with the location for about two years. My storage was broken into at least three times because the third time I actually found the lock cut. The two last times it happened I asked to review camera footage. Each time I was told a different story about how it was not available or that it was down/broken. Ridiculous for the amount you pay and the fact that they do not have a proper security Set up. I have major high end clients that I was holding marketing tools there for. When I went in to talk to someone the day it happened which was Dec 20th Betsy kinda chuckled at me because I was upset about the break in and the fact that even though she was there She didn't replace the lock on my unit until i had to ask her to. Which Al normally did replace the lock till I brought a new one. I did not appreciate how she handled the situation. I asked her to have Al call me... HE never did. I had to go by there a few times till he was there so I could talk to him. Called the District manager left 3 messages NO PHONE CALL BACK. Finally called Corporate and been playing phone tag with a Michelle WHO 4 WEEKS LATER nothing has been resolved.. I finally moved out but I am so disappointed in how Public Storage is handling this situation. read more

Buyer Beware: I salvaged some things from my mother's house after Harvey and stored them at Public Storage. Their roof leaked over my rental space! They wanted me to pay their movers $150 cash to move my stuff to a dry rental! I had insurance on the items, but really, what am I paying you for if you can't even keep my stuff dry. They have posters around saying "Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction" I am not satisfied. Why should I have to pay to move my stuff to a dry rental area. I paid the movers.... and moved to a different storage facility. Don't rent a space from Public Storage if you want your stuff to be dry! read more

THIEVES/CROOKS AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We vacated last night 7/31/14 and they want to charge us a day for 8/1/14! When our stuff is not even in there!!! The manager AL, by the way not very kind and accommodating to customers gives me a stupid and lame excuse that the system is old and it reads it that we are just vacating today!! Well that is not my freaking problem! UPDATE your damn system! He even said that he noticed we were vacated this morning, but still wants to charge us a full day when the storage is empty!? Even though it is not much, is the principle of it!! We paid every month almost $200 (way over priced!!) and almost 3 times before they said our payment was returned when we had enough money to cover it, but they didn't even notify us for almost 2 weeks...and just kept adding late fees!! They are thieves! Stay away from Public storage!! Even the district manager never was helpful and accommodating! He just said we have to pay it. Not ONCE did he tried to work with us! ALSO, Al the manager threatens me that if we don't pay for the one day fee that it will go on my credit!!! REALLY!!? One day? And one day that our stuff are not even in there!! I am also making a complain with the BBB if it doesn't get resolve! I will update if they resolve this or not! read more
