Their rate was great at the beginning. But mine was a long storage time, so the charge just was getting increased with very less notice period. I recently checked out and the facility seem to be secure. The lady at the office room was helpful in opening the gates and showing the restroom. The guy who confirmed my checkout was very polite. The major drawback is the amenities in the facility - no light in the storage unit, the walls were torn off, no air conditioning or ventilation, all my stuffs had spider webs, infested with bugs, dust and wooden dirts from the cieling, though the packaging was covered with covers. I had to throw many items (beds, furnitures, garage shelves, etc.) because of the infestations. And they didn't let me dump anything at the dumpster they had at their premises and they dont have junk removal options as well. So we had to find dumpsters around to dump all the junk. One need to be prepared for all this if they choose this place for long term storage option. read more

Property manager has a huge attitude problem. She does not know how to talk to paying customers and acts as if we are the ones that owe her something. I get here prior to 6pm and she was gone so I couldn't unload my moving truck all because she left work early. she tried to deny it but even my movers where there before me and she was not there even when they arrived. Next day I am there and the side gate was open so I pull in to unload the 26' truck. once done I'm literally about to start reversing and out of the blue the lady is closing the gate. This is my first time seeing her and it was another lady that allowed me to load through that side. I explained this to her and she tells me to just drive around. But there is a dumpster on the back of the unit so I am not able to drive this big truck around back. I explained this to her but she didn't care. The situation was starting to get heated. I realized this told her to please let me out the side gate. She had the file to say "that all you had to do". This is so stupid but I was not trying to catch a case especially not with dealing with a 5' female that feels she can get gully with a 6'3" male who is just trying to leave. In addition the site is under construction so the box does not work properly and access can be difficult at times. read more

Don't use for any long term storage. They get you to commit and keep increasing the rate every 6 months. There is no air conditioning and the lights never work. I'm moving out, make sure to do the same and don't let them use the inconvenience of moving as leverage to charge ridiculous rates. read more

I have a few issues with this location, Manager is unprofessional- every time I walk in the door she appears to have some sort of issues with other customers, as far as me they raised my rental rate by $26 ( from $123 to $149) only after 6 months and you can't do anything about it because they have your stuff. In the month of September, I was running behind on my monthly rent for my 5x10 storage room. so I paid my rent on Oct 1 for September. Upon coming in Oct 1, I found out that they cut my lock off of my storage unit on 9/30 (The blamed this on the District Manager, not themselves) , I assumed they do this so they can "look inside" your storage facility to see if you have anything of value$, if you do they put a Lien fee on your account so you can be in further default, at this point they really want you to default for 30 days so they can auction off your storage room. And if you do come in to pay after they cut your lock you are forced to buy another $21 lock from them. (again bleeding you of more $$) If you can; stay away from storage facilities, this one on 2850 Rogerdale in particular. They have nothing better to do than to bilk you out of your money. (in their corporate world that's what makes them a good profitable business location) read more

Great place to rent from the staff was very friendly and nice and the facility looked amazing.

I like Public Storage. It's especially nice that you can complete booking ahead of time and they will go ahead and get your unit ready so you don't have to go in during office hours to move in. The staff have always been helpful, and I appreciate the ability to get texted and emailed account reminders if desired. The only downside is, you pretty much have to book online for the good rates, and it won't let you do certain things. For example, I was getting a unit for my frail elderly father-in-law who has no email or online access, but it would not let us use his card to pay--it would not let me enter his name and address in credit card section--so I had to pay for the unit myself then take him in person to change out the card, which we were trying to avoid. I understand the potential risks they are trying to limit, but it seems like having two extra boxes to enter the name and address on the card could solve this. (I could have just set up the whole thing in his name, but that confuses and overwhelms him, so I was trying to take care of as much as possible.) Overall, though, a good experience! read more

My wife and I rented a storage unit here during our move. The staff on site was very helpful in finding a unit that met our needs, which was difficult because the property is nearly at capacity. Before settling on Public I checked other storage companies and I believe they have some of the cheapest rental rates, especially early on because of the promotions they run. The property seemed secure but is definitely dated. In the unit we ended up renting the insulation was falling from the ceiling and the light seemed to be barely attached to the ceiling. However, for a short term storage solution I believe Public will be perfect for us. read more

Don't rent from this location, rented over a year, made online payments for a year, scheduled a move-out online weeks in advance. Arrive with rental truck and go to office to Lydia (unprofessional) and was informed Public Storage doesn't prorate, only 4 days in the month, . Two things stand out from listening to Lydia, she acknowledge the notice of move-out was received, and she doesn't know what or if notice is provided online ( not stated online ) ... however, online states management will contact you, Lydia, states if I would have called in they would have informed me. Question yourself, would they contact me if I owed money .... this location, this individual are rip-offs and looking to cheat you in every way possible. read more

I like the location of this property but the down is the management. The lady is patronizing. Some managers do a good job but if their people skills stink , then it makes my experience not a very good one. I avoid at all cost the office, because from past experience, management patronizes as if belittling, like she knows more , and that because of this then this is the why, but regardless of your human need it does not matter attitude. Case in point is having to ask for a key for the restroom. If she is busy with a walk in , she will not tell her to wait , but you with the "HUMAN NEED" has to wait until her business is done, you have to tighten your and hope you do not have an accident. No human compassion. Yes. and WE do not forget that argument. Unacceptable. Public Storage as a Company has not addressed that matter or much less improved those relations with customer. The smart thing to do is accommodate because ultimately they would not have a paycheck if customer did not rent their spaces. read more
