Don, the owner, really goes out of his way to make sure you are a happy customer. The employees are all very helpful as well. they really go above and beyond. We looked at Public Storage and was unimpressed. I continued looking and found Brassfield due to its proximity to Duke. I couldn't be happier with the summer storage unit. The units are climate controlled, the 2nd month is free, they offer a moving van to assist in your move at no extra charge, really, really amazing!! The units look new, and the facility is very well maintained. I will continue storing at Brassfiled over the summer for the duration of our daughter's college years. Thank you!!!

Climate controlled, security cameras everywhere, insurance not required but offered, 2nd month free, free use of metal platform trucks (carts), and a FREE 10-15 foot moving truck available for move in. On top of all those perks the rates are affordable. Cheaper than Uhaul with more perks. We ended up renting a storage unit that was too small. After business hours the area manager saw us struggling and let us move into a bigger storage unit really close to our old one. He told us he'd hate to see us move our stuff twice and to go by the office the next day to update the contract. He saved us from moving into two storage units. Absolutely amazing customer service.

I've been using this storage facility for almost a year, and aside from the initial online sign‑up,…read moremy interactions with the management team--specifically Chelsea and her supervisor Terrence--have been very disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location. Their approach to customer service and retention feels dismissive and unprofessional. Rates seem to increase arbitrarily, and there is no willingness to work with customers, even when the facility is not at full occupancy. It's frustrating to see a business risk losing a long‑term customer over a small amount, especially when maintaining relationships should be a priority. The staff has consistently come across as rude and unhelpful. While the building is climate‑controlled, it's far from high‑end. The carts are broken, the units are dark with no lighting, and overall, the facility lacks attention to customer experience. In short, the service and management have made this a disappointing place to store my belongings. After making a complaint to the district manager, it is evident that the rates are more important that customers and I will be removing my items asap. Seems like such a small thing to lose a customer over but in the end, it is all about perception and mine is that we are not valued.

I had to store a bunch of boxed items for a while, and this facility was less than 10 minutes from…read moremy house. I ended up getting a 6' X 10' climate controlled space. The indoor part of the facility used to be a supermarket or department store, so it is quite large. The whole place is clean, well lit, and the air conditioning is better than I expected. Nicely cool in the summer, and comfortably warm in the winter. My unit was on the end, right near the curbside door, but I noticed looking down the aisles that they are very wide, if you wanted to access your unit while the tenant across did the same, there would be no problem. The roll-up door worked smoothly, and the built-in lock eliminates having to buy or supply a padlock. There are always plenty of flatbed carts available. Not 24 hour access, but you can get in 7:30 am to 10 pm every day, holidays included. Office staff very friendly and helpful, and the managers live onsite. Even when the office was closed, a few times when I went to my unit, I saw one of the managers, so they don't close up the office and disappear. Although I didn't have a need for it, I noticed they have plenty of room for outside storage (like vehicles & equipment) and again, it is clean and well organized. If I ever need storage again, I will definitely return here.
