I've been very pleased with the service I've received from the folks at my Public Storage location. From the initial visit, to sign-up and move-in, through my fourth... fifth? month, I've been very satisfied. Great move-in special and no long-term commitment works great for us. Excellent location. Easy to access. Plenty of room to navigate around the property regardless of other tenants and their vehicles. The storage room itself has been just as advertised which keeps us quite happy. I had a storage unit here and everything was fine. I got to know Stacey and I never had a problem with her. The problem occurred when I got sick during Covid. I was sick and wasn't able to answer calls when they called. I got better and immediately called to pay my bill. It was the day I had to pay. When I called to pay, my unit was already sold. I lost everything, my family photos, negatives, all my clothes, my jewelry, my computer hard drives, my masters project work! absolutely everything. But that wasn't the worst part. When I called to see if I could get a message to whoever bought my unit, the control of the unit was transferred to another location and the woman in charge of that property didn't know anything and was inexperienced. She couldn't help me. The worst experience of my life. Thanks for nothing public storage. read more

I made a soft reservation online, and then stopped in and met with Stacey. She was very helpful and walk me around the different units that might work for storing my car through the winter. She didn't have one that was heated, so she looked online and gave me some options on other competing public storages around the area. I appreciated her doing that, and after looking at the other locations, felt best working with Stacey on one that she showed me. First month was free if you booked it online at this location. I came here to get a storage unit and Stacey was SO nice and so helpful! I had been on a waitlist and she kept me updated on where I was on the list and what might be opening up. She explained all of my options and helped me decide on the best unit for my needs. When one came available, she stayed a bit late to check me in bc she wasn't going to be there on my move in date. She treats people like friends whenever you see her, not like some facilities where you walk in and it's a big production to get anything done because you're a generic name on an endless computer screen. In a time when mediocre service is the norm and good customer service seems to be a rarity, Stacey was EXCEPTIONAL!! Thank you! read more

HUGE SCAM. Don't use this place longer than 2-months or your rent will quadruple. They raise the rent constantly yet offer new people the regular discounted rate. My rent was increased from $55.00 a month to $168.00 a month which is insanity. read more

I recently had the displeasure of dealing with this Public Storage location, and have since taken my business elsewhere. Renting a storage unit SHOULD be a pretty straightforward process, especially with such a large name brand. The promotions they run on their site seem very reasonable, all things considered, so I decided to give them a shot. I initially made a soft reservation online for a unit on April 12th, because I wasn't sure exactly which day in one particular week I would need to begin my storage (either April 18th or 19th). I then visited this location in person order to find out more about billing, the renting process, and other assorted details. I was ready to put down whatever deposit necessary in order to secure the rental (a little over a week out at this point), but was told that unless I started the rental that very day (the 12th), they couldn't guarantee that the particular size of unit I wanted would be available, they could only guarantee the price if that sized unit was available. That's fine, I get it, you don't want to take my money as a token of my interest in the unit. I told them I was willing to take my chances, so I'd show up when they opened on the 18th in order to see if that size unit was still available. Again, why wouldn't they just take some sort of deposit, even if it was non-refundable in the event you decided NOT to proceed with your rental? We were then notified by the employee that the units only accept a special cylindrical-type lock, and were not compatible with disc or padlocks for the sake of security. She asked if I had such a lock, and was kind enough to let me know that Public Storage sells their own branded lock for $30, which she then showed to us. I figured I could just pick something similar up along the way, that way I wouldn't have to shell out $30 for a lock that I'd literally use once (plus I'd know that only *I* have the keys to it, since security is so important after all). Additional fun fact: people have managed to bypass these particular Public Storage locks with nothing more than plastic zipties. After finding a few alternative locks online that might work, I decided to call in order to find out what the diameter of the lock was, so I could ensure compatibility with the unit. Upon speaking with one of the employees at that location, my girlfriend was told that they don't have dimensions of the lock, but they could give us the phone number of the property manager so we could find out from them. They have the locks physically on-hand, and I'm sure there's a tape measure around the place, seeing as that they sell boxes and packaging materials at a premium to people that might not know what size(s) they need, but that may be a bit beside the point. We ended up leaving a voicemail for the manager specifically requesting information about the "cylinder locks" they sell, and when they returned the call, the manager abruptly interrupted my girlfriend not just once, but twice, to inform her that they "don't use padlocks." When she was finally able to get a word in edgewise to explain that we were asking about their CYLINDER locks (I guess it didn't stick the first few times), the manager very brusquely told her that they didn't know the dimensions of the lock. Satisfied that there was no possible way to get any sort of helpful information, we resigned ourselves to the infinite wisdom of the property manager. For a property that won't let you rent a storage unit without insurance (either by using your own homeowners/renters, or by purchasing coverage through Public Storage), what difference does the lock make when the facility is gated, locked, and under video surveillance? It's all just a poor attempt to lure people in with outrageous deals, only for them to recoup every bit they lost upfront with fees and mandatory hardware on the back-end. If you are considering renting a storage unit with this location, I would strongly urge you to first look into either StorAll or Cardinal storage, two comparably-priced providers in the same area. They were very knowledgeable, and both provided an outstanding customer service experience, which is more than I can say about any aspect of my dealings with Public Storage. read more

Overall very unprofessional. I know it's just a storage unit and it doesn't matter how service is but gosh darn it, you deserve better. Go to a different public storage. There are a bunch. read more

Giving a 1* since paying online is very convenient if you live out of state. I am very disappointed at this location's customer service. I opened this storage unit February 2020 for a temporary storage before moving out of state. The services started out ok but a little aggressive with the office calling several times to confirm my meeting time to start my unit. I set my unit and was also told they only used a certain type of lock so I had to buy the very expensive one they sold in the store. As I drove around to my unit to put my lock on it as the office closed, I noticed I couldn't get in it. The office left their lock on it. I immediately ran to the front bammed on the door hoping someone was still there since I had to move today and hit the road early morning before they open. Thankfully the manager came back out to take her lock off. I moved and tried to get back to the unit and right at 8:59pm the gates locked on me delaying me putting the rest of my things in storage. Coronavirus hit in March, my job was delayed starting out of state which cause my billing to be late. I communicated with the office on what was going on during this Pandemic and all they told me was that I was ok since liens only get put on after 2mos late. But in the meantime the office would not wave any lates. I continued to pay even the late fees, after losing my job it got harder in the meantime still even when making payment date setups, the office called and harrassed and harrassed. Even getting into arguements with me when I ask why the harassment calls when I have explained I will pay on a certain day due to my lost job. This was I believe Stacy rudely talking to me. I eventually made arrangements to settle account but it always fell on the 3rd day of the month or after and the office explained there would be no partial paying months or refunds even if moving out a day or two after the 1st. On July 3rd starting at 8am central time called the office to confirm I was making my payment and will be moving out the unit. No answer and I left a message. Called again at 10:11am, and twice at the 2pm hour and still no answer or returned call. FInally at 447pm a few minutes before the office closed someone picks us. Which it very much sounded like the young lady was working from home. Her cell phone rings and rings during our call, she drops the phone during our call, and you could very much tell she was ready to get off. I explained I'm trying to find out what needs to be done since I just landed and needed to move out my storage. The lady showed my payment made, but still showed July balance with lates. She explained another late would be assessed on the 7th and that my unit now does have the office lock on it. I explained to the lady I need to speak to the manager since it seems she is the only one the could remove the lock. The lady would not allow me to call the manager even in the urgent manner of just landing, picking up rental truck and now can't move out my unit or drive back out of state at 5am to get home. The lady said she would call the manager and have her to call me right back in the meantime the office is closing. No call back from the manager and now I'm stuck in Ohio late on the 4th of July holiday. I am so furious with this office delaying my move and traveling home and not communicating with the customer to settle account. This place is bad business and not good to do business here. read more
