Unbelievable. The justification last year was because we had a power outlet and the power bill of the whole place was 'high', even though we barely ever used the outlet and only for an hour the whole year at most. But of course they can't differentiate by unit. This year the the justification for the $50/mo increase is 'well Public Storage does it' from the Property Manager. The real reason the power bill is so high and all the units with power are having to pay more is because they claim no one is allowed to work out of the space, but almost all the back units are constantly open with people working in them with power tools and multiple cars that all seem to have entry codes. As a woman alone I felt uncomfortable going to the unit alone with men staring at me smoking outside the units next to mine. I complained about it last year and the property manager at the time told me the owner knew about the abuses and didn't do anything about it.
