I reported water damage after discovering wet property inside my storage unit, including a visibly wet box and furniture covered with an unidentified black substance. However, my claim was classified and denied as "rodent damage," even though I never filed a claim for rodent damage. The manager did not look at my unit until approximately two weeks after I discovered the damage. He arrived at 5:58 p.m., left at 5:59 p.m., did not walk inside the unit, and only performed a quick scan from the doorway. I have now learned that he did not even document this visit or place notes about it on my account. Despite the lack of a timely or thorough inspection, I was told there was no source of water intrusion. How can a one-minute doorway glance, conducted approximately two weeks later and not documented on my account, be considered a proper investigation? Customers pay monthly storage fees and additional protection-plan costs with the expectation that property damage will be taken seriously. Instead, my claim was assigned a cause of loss I never reported and denied based on an exclusion that does not address my actual claim. I am asking CubeSmart's corporate leadership to review how this matter was handled, reopen my claim, and ensure that a complete and fair investigation is conducted. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this location to anyone who expects management to properly respond when something goes wrong.

After talking to customer service, I was assured that the car dolly would be with the truck. It was not. After 3 hours of driving and waiting, we are now hours behind our moving schedule as our family and friends wait to help us move. This is the worst rental experience I have ever had and Penske needs to get their act together.
