Planned to have my senior citizen father moved by this company. I told them I wanted to pay and they said that it would be taken care of at the completion of the move. The never contacted me for payment and instead took my fathers credit card before the move began - this would have been reasonable if this were clearly expressed when I offered to give my credit card before the move, but I was told it would be after. Then, mid-move, they thought they saw a bedbug on my fathers mattress. They stopped the move and left his mattress in the basement of his apartment building leaving him with nowhere to sleep. They claimed that he told them to do this, but according to him, they told him they would do that because it would be easier for him to move it and he said "ok". Too bad this is completely illogical considering he is alone and 73 years old. I then called them and was told that I was ridiculous for thinking that I could move when we had bedbugs even though I had no knowledge of a current bedbug problem. I then hired an exterminator who came and found that there are in fact no bed bugs and they must have mistaken the carpet beetle larvae for dead bedbugs. Reckless and unkind. read more

We hired Leaders to move our 4 bedroom 2 story house. the Sales man was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave us a quote after walking our house. 3 movers showed up with a 16 ft truck and only 1/2 of our things fit in it. Long story short- the movers were here from 9am-10pm. They were good at treating our things well- but left some stuff at the original house that we paid to be moved and web didn't realize it never came to the new place until we went back to clean. Deep freezer, Heavy large generator, suitcases, boxes, etc. I've reached out to to company and have been told twice a manager from operations will be in touch. The third time I reached out- no one responded. Really really disappointed. They claim to make the move- stress free and it was anything but. We had to rent a Uhaul to move what was left as we needed to be out of the house and no one was getting back with us. read more

We recently used Leaders Moving and Storage to pack up our house in Upper Arlington. Our 4th move with them. Our couch significant incurred damage as a result of negligent packing. A large wardrobe box, a dozen heavy boxes and even car tires were packed onto of an expensive leather sofa. All told there was nearly 1000 pounds stacked on top. This resulted in severe damage to the frame as well as cosmetic damage. I was not able to see the condition in which the couch was packed due to other items put in front of it. Upon delivering this news to Leaders, they denied all responsibility. Even an apology was denied. Exact quote, "Damage is not our responsibility or concern." I falsely believed going local was the right move. Wrong! Look elsewhere unless you wish to have your things treated like garbage. And then no responsibility taken. read more

HORRIBLE moving service and communication. BEWARE, I don't want others to go through what I am! I would rate zero stars if it was possible to do so on this review. The movers dropped my digital piano. I was told they had a 3rd party vendor to repair then instead decided to reimbursing me pennies on the dollar value. Now I am stuck trying to find a repair person to evaluate the damage. According to my search it is nearly impossible to find someone qualified to do so. The movers showed total disregard for my property! Also miscommunicated insurance protection and other very important aspects of their policies. I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Leaders as a cautionary tale to anyone considering their services, it was an utter disaster. Firstly, they arrived hours later than scheduled, causing significant inconvenience and disrupting our plans. But the lateness was just the beginning of our troubles. The movers displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and care for our belongings. Despite my explicit instructions to wrap certain items, they neglected to do so, resulting in extensive damage to numerous possessions. To add insult to injury, I found myself having to assist the movers with their tasks, essentially doing their job for them. Moreover, the behavior of the moving crew towards both myself and my wife was completely unprofessional. Their inappropriate comments only compounded our frustration and made the entire experience even more unpleasant. At this point, I have no choice but to file a claim for the damages caused by Leaders. It's abundantly clear that they are not equipped to handle even the most basic aspects of their job, let alone provide a satisfactory service to their satisfactory service to their customers. Save yourself the time, money, and stress by looking elsewhere for movers. Trust me, you do not want to endure the same nightmare that I went through. I've used Leaders before and they were excellent, however this time I wish I would have used friends and a dolly. I hired Leaders movers to load a POD that would be transported 1300 miles. I'll be honest, I normally ignore 1 star reviews because I think the person is overreacting, but in this case my overall experience has snowballed into a legitimate 1 star review. While the packers were friendly and fast, they provided unreliable information regarding the claim policy. They dropped numerous items during the loading period and told me I had 30 days to make a claim. I was informed by the claims manager that the given information was incorrect and apparently the moment they left they were no longer liable. The reason why I hired professional movers was to pack and load in a way that items would not be damaged and I even purchased my own wrap and furniture blankets. My leather sofa was ONLY wrapped in plastic and loaded into the pod. I found the furniture blanket thrown into the pod still in it's purchased plastic that I had specifically outlined to be used. Needless to say I now have a puncture wound in my couch. The last and arguably the biggest reason why I am leaving one star is the customer service from the main office. Look at any one star review and you'll see it was less to do with the damage and more to do with the way the complaint was handled by the claims manager or her employee. I ended the call in tears because of how I was treated. I have rarely felt so unheard, disrespected, or that I was dealing with someone who lacked complete and total empathy for others. This experience makes me so happy that they are out of my new service range. Good Luck to anyone else who has something go wrong with Leaders. read more

I'm surprised the Yelp review is so low compared to Google. Moved a few weeks ago with the help of Jones (10146), George (10199), and Romando (10202) and they were great! They called to let me know they'd be about 20 minutes earlier than expected. The total items to move was about 6 items but a couple of them (dresser and mattress) were quite heavy. Once they got started it was an extremely quick process - they did not mess around! They were extremely friendly and courteous during the move. I even offered to help a few times and when I did they each said "you are paying us to do this - don't worry about helping" which they didn't have to do. Hopefully another move won't be in the future any time soon but whenever it is we will definitely consider working with them again. read more

Let me tell you that I was totally and completely satisfied from beginning to end of my experience. The 2 men Ryan (10224) and Jordan (1935) were phenomenal along with being professional, respectful of myself and my property, very careful yet quick in loading the truck and then unloading an putting my items into the storage unit. My final price came in lower than the estimate which made me happy also. The service I received was well worth the price I paid. The job was well done and beyond what I paid for! There's a reason this company's price was about half of what other companies quoted to move a modest amount of my mother's old brown furniture about 4 miles. First they said, leave your clothes in the drawers, then the night before they said, oh no, the drawers have to be empty, so that was a last-minute scramble. On moving day three polite young men showed on time and loaded their truck with beds, dressers, couch, chairs and end tables, no boxes tho. Everything arrived, my main complaint is that they were not careful with the stuff. They added lots of new scratches to the old brown wood furniture, bent the lamps and completely shattered an end table. There was no hurry, there was no rain or extenuating circumstances, they just didn't take the time required to avoid scratching surfaces & crushing corners. They declined to take the lampshades and that was actually smart, I'm sure those would NOT have survived the truck and elevator rides. The dudes also reeked of weed, hard to say if or how high they were. Cannot recommend. read more

I think their prices are a tad higher than others. However, with that said, their communication, truck, employees and handling of my property during our move was top notch. Extremely overpriced! Very disappointed. Worst movers I ever hired. They didn't even unwrap anything. I've moved 7 times in 7 years and this has to be the simplest move yet, just unloading a 3/4 full UHaul pod and delivering it to a townhouse nearby. The bid was $400 which seemed excessive but I'm all ok, at least it'll get done. Because there was a cat tree not listed in the inventory they charged another $128. So $528 for a move that took only an hour and I half. Highway robbery! read more

I didn't get to use them because when my husband spoke to them 2 days ago, they said they charge a hourly rate no matter is being moved and will dismount our tv. I called today and he wanted an itemized list, and they absolutely do not dismount the tvs and would have to send another company to do that. How did the process change in less than 2 days? I moved 2-21-19. It was my first time using a moving company. I did a ton of research and this company really stuck out to me. My overall experience- I would recommend Leaders Moving and Storage 10/10. I had no issues at all. No damage. Also, price was better in comparison to other quotes I received from various companies. The movers- Aj and Cameron- were 15 minutes EARLY. They notified me when they were 30 minutes upon arrival (per request). They were very organized and planned out the best placement for the truck, laid out mats as to not dirty up my apartment, and planned out the order in which to take my furniture. They were fast, polite, and efficient. Extra kudos for getting my amoire on the second floor of my final destination. I didnt think it was possible, but they proved me wrong! I'm not a newbie to moving, after having done several several moves both locally and long distance. I was able to get a call for an estimate and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was nice and explained to me how the moving and packing services worked. Some others quoted me by the hour and some flat fee, but only Leaders agreed to come to do an in-person estimate which I preferred as it's hard to explain the stuff that you have without seeing it in person. The estimate process was easy enough and I got a quote for the move and was notified the earliest I could get the move scheduled based upon their schedule. I knew if their quote wasn't outlandish, they seemed like the best option. Thankfully, I was able to get my move scheduled without a hassle and confirmation was sent via email without any issues. On moving day the crew arrived on time and were very friendly. They got straight to packing and were very efficient. I will say the only reason they are not getting a perfect 5 star review is for a few reasons. Firstly one of the movers ended up packing a bathroom plunger and toilet bowl brush with towels and other bathroom items which is gross and required me to do laundry and disinfecting of the other items in the box, but the other two crew members were meticulous in their packing. The other ding is that they did not have labels for the boxes so although it was inventoried, it was hard to tell what was what as boxes were reused in my move from other moves, and if I had a bigger move, it would have been very frustrated, and my furniture wasn't wrapped to what I am used to (no cover on the boxspring or mattress for example) and my other furniture wasn't covered with the moving cloths as I have had in other local moves. However the truck was clean, and it was a day of move so I guess that's how it's done here in Ohio. Once they started loading up everything in a truck things definitely picked up speed and next thing you know we were in the house. The last ding is that I have light colored carpeting and was a bit disappointed that the first thing that they didn't do was lay out protective mats to cover my floors (which again I've had in every other move I've done). The guys were honest about where some of my furniture pieces could fit and aside from one piece of furniture missing a screw, everything surprisingly wasn't damaged in the move. Also the nice thing is they were true to their word in that if fewer materials were used they would adjust the final price which turned out to be the case. The crew also worked hard... it was about a 10 hour day from start to finish and non-stop, so I really appreciated that aspect of it. I probably would consider Leaders again, but I would be very specific on what I want to make sure happens as part of the move going forward. read more

We used Leaders to make a local move. The movers seemed nice enough however they were somewhat careless. Much to my dismay,they broke a very expensive piece of furniture broke another glass top of a consul table, knocked edging off a credenza and gouged an antique secretary and a China cabinet. The claims department has taken my one piece to possibly be repaired however it cannot be done. It was an expensive piece. I do not recommend this moving company so beware. The company does not seem to have good customer service. They also did not use provided masks for Covid-19. read more

Leaders came highly recommended to us from a friend who recently moved from Westerville to Marysville. The cost for their move from Leaders was just under $400 and included a slightly more furniture and washer/dryer. My wife submitted a request for a quote to move a few items from our home to an apartment roughly a mile from us. Since we're building a new home, we decided to donate the bulk of our furniture and move only what was needed to make a temporary apartment feel like home. Our quote to essentially move 2 bedrooms and a family room plus some boxes (no appliances) to an apartment about a mile from us was around $600. My wife called to ask if the quote was accurate and was met with an extremely rude individual who proceeded to 'mansplain' units of measure and distances to my wife. My wife attempting to explain further and was interrupted with a story about the distance being 18 miles, etc, etc... Mind you we live 3 miles from Leaders, the entire round trip would be well under 10 miles. She hung up on the idiot. Not sure if this is a case of the sexist disrespect you'd find at a car dealer or maybe our zip code commands a higher price from movers... Needless to say, we'll be using another moving company. read more

We had Leaders move us to our new home. As we unpacked our boxes, we discovered one large box and our glass wall fireplace were missing. This was especially upsetting because the missing box contained irreplaceable items. We called to see if the items were left on the truck, as a pair of lamps had been left on a previous move, we were told, however, that the items were not on the truck. We are struggling with the loss of our family heirlooms that were in the missing box. Please take the time (even if it's a late delivery, like ours was) to check off EVERY item and box on the Leaders list, it will take a long time to do, but will be worth it. The movers were fantastic! I really appreciate Shaun and his crew. Didn't damage a single item, easily moved difficult positioned items, were incredibly nice and funny, worked quickly - couldn't have asked for anything more from them! The sales agent could've been better. Never mentioned the possibility that the 2 mile move might take two days (with our stuff staying on the truck overnight), made us think he was giving us a discount after we asked about the price (he actually just took some items off our inventory list), and missed a couple big items we discussed from our inventory list that added to our final total. (Yes, it's on me to triple check the inventory list, but still). Would absolutely use again but they seem pricey compared to our friends' moves w/ others. Edit: Leaving original review up but changed from 4 stars to 5. Heard from company's CEO an hour after my review apologizing for the experience and refunding the difference in price. AMAZING! It's so cliche to say this, but nobody provides that kind of service these days! My grandparents were moving recently and hired this company. One of the movers tried to steal my grandmother's prescription and later did steal cash and her ATM card out of her purse. He even went so far as to call her bank and change her account password and the address associated with her card!! I'm sure not all of their employers are like this, but be wary! This is atrocious and I hate to think about how many other people's lives this criminal has effected. My grandparents are too kind to write a negative review, however I'd feel wrong not warning others about the despicable actions preformed by one of their employees. read more

Many referrals and they were so right! Several friends and colleagues said "Use Leaders, they are the best" Never more honest words spoken. The three young men were energetic, respectful and customer focused.....I can't say enough positive things... Outstanding young men! The price was quoted for less than $700 and when they arrived, the price actually went down below $600, extremely reasonable. Nothing was damaged or handled roughly. Really amazing. I requested a quote and got a very quick response. They were very nice. However, for a small move 0.2 miles away they were $200 more than every other mover. I wound up going with Leaders when a previous mover failed to show up. They gave me a quote and told me it was a flat fee. When they showed up on the day of the move the "reassessed" the move and came back with a quote $300 more than they had told me. When I questioned this huge increase, the mover attempted to physically intimidate me and threatened to just leave. As I had to be out of my apartment ASAP, I had no choice but to use them. I was living in a 3 story townhouse and the movers said there were unable to get my regular 3 cushion sofa downstairs. When I explained it went upstairs and should be able to go down, they just said sometimes things that go up won't go down. They left my 1 year old sofa at my old place. Fortunately, I spoke to my landlord about the situation. He came over with one other person and got my sofa downstairs in about 6 minutes. Unfortunately, I had to pay $150 for him to get it down, rent a trailer and have it moved to my new place. read more
