It was last Wednesday, August 5th, when I was moving things into storage, and the roll-up door came off the track as it went up. Cathy, one of the managers on duty came by shortly after, and I summoned her assistance. She got the other manager, they brought a couple of ladders and a hammer, and with their suggestions I was able to get the door securely back on track with their excellent professional assistance! They are very good managers! Thank you! read more

There is no way to speak to a person. They used to have a person on site. Now, however, there is no way to speak to a person onsite or on the phone. Even the online chat is ignored - that's with the agent's name on the screen! The former site manager was great but there is absolutely no help for their customers. For the prices they charge, they should be able to pay someone to answer a phone. read more

This property is a rip off. I rented 2 units at a price that was on the contract, 310 for one and 331 for the other, now the contract says that they'll notify you of rate increases, but all I got was a gray box at the end of one months rent saying the next month rent was going up over 100 dollars on each unit, I have all my belongings in these units and I have to now find new storage units and pay for a uhaul and someone to help me move all my property because there's no telling how much more it will get raised. I've not had these units 6 months yet. I setup autopsy thinking that it was going to be consistent, beware of renting from this property. read more

They up the price on the unit about 3-6 months into the rental. Scumbags. Have to move to a different unit every 6 months or they add on 30-50 dollars. read more

Their price increases are through the roof. They know it is a HUGE inconvenience to pack up a storage shed and move the contents. The larger it is, the more inconvenient. In the course of eight months in 2024, my 10x10 unit rent went from $138.68, tax included, to $235.43. There is no world where that is a reasonable increase for no additional benefit. If you rent here, be prepared to be fleeced. read more

Wish I could give this location less than one star. The unit's ceiling is lined with fire retardant that covered all of the items I had stored. Water got in and also ruined my things. The door came off the rails so my belongs were unsecured for a week. And the rent went up $70/month in less than a year. I will never use a public storage location again. read more

Rent increases every month without notice, for no reason. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

I have had a unit at Public Storage on Ambleside for 3 years now. The staff on site are amazing! They're friendly and always helpful. The price on the other hand....absolutely ridiculous! In the 3 years I've had it, it has increased over $100! It started at $69.88 and now as of may 1st 2023 it'll be $173! I will definitely be looking for another storage unit closer to my home and moving out as soon as I do. Thoroughly disappointed. read more

Customer service was outstanding! I went to one location that wasn't a good fit for my needs. The Associate was a problem solver & offered exactly what I needed at another location. The entire process to complete ppwk was efficient. Move in day was efficient. Everything needed was there & ready for us. Thank you to the Ambleside Associate for thinking outside of the box & making this move so smooth! read more

I moved from California back to Ohio. I rented my storage space and made all the payments right from my phone. Once I arrived to my unit, everything was just as the representative had told me! The code worked, the lock and key was inside the unit, and the unit was clean! Very easy access. I would definitely recommend this facility. read more

I was very pleased on the information Ms. Kathy provided to me about upgrading to storage sizes. I am a previous customer who rented with this site for 2 months and had no issues so I decided to come back. Ms. Kathy at store 24420 was professional, courteous and one thing I like is that she documented everything I needed to send over to customer service to ensure I would have no issues when started my storage rental. At this time, definitely recommend this location for storage needs. read more

This manager is so nice to help all the customers, whatever you are current or future customers. Further, he is also helpful to furniture loser to locate their properties through a contract signed by bad mover or cheater. read more

Kathy was friendly and extremely helpful. Public Storage was one of the less expensive storage facilities in the area. I am happy with my choice. Check with your home owner's insurance before you go to see if off-site storage is covered. That way you can turn down the storage insurance they require when you sign up. Public Storage will tell you that most insurances do not cover storage units, but according to my insurance agent that is not true. My home owner's insurance covers storage units at no cost. read more

After searching around for a temporary storage solution, I found an online deal for this property. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from the manager on duty. She was very helpful, pleasant and gave me some good tips. I would recommend this place. read more

I needed a storage locker withing the same week for my college daughter. Michelle, the manager, handled things expertly. She loves her job and it shows! I have never used this facility before but she took her time and walked me through the entire process. The unit was clean and well lit. I would recommend this 100%! read more

I have stored at this property long term, over 13 years to be exact. My rent is WAY higher(at least double) than the "online" pricing. I have gone through Many property managers, whom all change rules and policies, or "mysteriously" have your original contract disappear in order to switch your terms and conditions. These units have very nasty debris (old insulation, material unknown) that falls from the ceiling and ruins your items. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL of your belongings are covered and protected IF you happen to get lured in on their "$1" advertisement to bring business. Now, they have fixed SOME of the units by putting a plastic material over the old insulation; but I have only seen this on empty units, and is not offered to the loyal customers whose rent raises constantly & should be priority for this repair. This property is also constantly having problems with their gate getting stuck, and/or not working. I am "stuck" in this unit & property, due to needing help with moving. I WAS offered a cheaper price IF I was able to move very heavy furniture into a different unit, by myself. I haven't been able to do this, nor can I afford to hire a mover due to the "almost $300" rent I pay each month. Last, but not least (complaints), there is a "courtesy call" each month to remind you of your rent being due, before a HUGE late fee (that used to be $10) added to your account. Don't depend on it. They are short staffed a lot & this call doesn't come but 1 out of 10 months. The property managers have been decent to talk to, but district is VERY hard to get a hold of the majority of the time. Use this facility at your own risk... Short term: 1-2 months, maybe, just make sure you cover your things. I hope this has helped, especially people who use this location for storage while looking for a new home. (if possible, I will add pictures after I post this review) read more

Initially, my first experience was a "5 star" rating. The manager, Michelle, who helped us was positive, friendly and helpful. Since we were storing things for our recent college grad, she suggested keeping one key to the lock (which we purchased from them) in the office and one with us. We did that and had though it was a good back-up plan in case we misplaced the key. We stored our things for a few months and then collected them back last week. Kathy checked us out and we were on our way back to Maryland. On the drive east, I realized we left the key with the office. I called on Monday to ask about the key. The person on the other end of the phone said she would contact Kathy and see where the key might key. She also promised to call back as soon as she found out something. I called again on Saturday to follow up as I had not heard back. Luckily Kathy was working and I told her the story. She remembered having a conversation with the other employee but does not know where the other key went. I told her that Michelle checked us in when we rented the locker. Kathy informed us that Michelle no longer works for the company. I was disappointed with he lack of concern for our missing key and was disappointed that the employee did not call as promised. I am glad nothing was stolen from the unit while we were away and if I use a storage facility in the future, I will make sure to never leave a key as I question the security of such a practice. I also notice that the other negative review was also from this month so perhaps the previously positive facility has gone down hill. read more

The staff is always welcoming and understanding. The unit is a great price for size. I felt my belongings were safe at this unit.
