I packed and disassembled my household goods and all they had to do was load, drive to the destination, and unload. Took 4 hrs at pickup and 2 hrs at destination. Mike, the owner was honest, thorough and professional in all areas from the beginning to the end. He's your go to guy for any concerns, comments, etc. Jacob, the driver, and his crew did an outstanding job and again, was professional, friendly, and considerate of our household goods. However, on the day of the move, no one showed up. After waiting over an hour past the scheduled time, We had to call them myself to find out what was going on; only then was I told the appointment had been canceled. There was no proactive communication, no courtesy call, and no effort made to notify me ahead of time. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability or assistance afterward. They did not offer to help find a replacement or provide any solution, leaving me scrambling at the last minute. Move Yourself, if able…read more.. Inaccurate "estimations". I was quoted for a 2-4 person crew to move a 2 bedroom apartment to a house at $150/ hour plus truck fees and mileage . The move was estimated to take 2 hours and a total of $475. I accounted/expected for double the moving time. Apparently this information is completely false. 2 movers arrived, the job took them 9 hours to complete and of course I was charged in excess of $2000 when the truck charge is included. When I called to dispute the charges. I was told they have no idea how many movers would be needed...is that not what the quote process was? You were informed it was a 2 BR apartment needing moved, you're a moving company, plan accordingly for the job and send the correct crew. When I broached this topic I was told a crew of 4 would have cost $300/hour, I again called back on my quote which did not include this information. At the end of the day, This is nothing but a scam. Do not entrust these people with your move. It's a classic scheme of moving slow to increase billable hours. Don't respond to them if they inquire about moving your things. The crew themselves were complicit, taking their time moving and making multiple trips to achieve the compete move. Sloppy with boxes and disregarding property. Chipped paint on an interior wall moving a sofa thru the hallway. Terrible service overall. Would never recommend. Follow-Up: I paid and tipped you for services rendered, it was a long hot day and I was raised to treat people the right way, which is why we offered you refreshments and food throughout the day. I am a man of my word and I pay for services that are performed. My issue remains that the quote/estimate were incorrect. I was quoted for 2 hours for a team of 2-4 movers @ $150 an hour. What came was the minimum of 2 and then you guys took take 5X the time with multiple trips needed back and forth (in theory the move should have taken no longer than double what was proposed/estimated). The pertinent information about the move was provided by my end. You quoted an estimate using those details, it's on your internal processing to determine the crew size/truck size/time estimate. My purchasing decision was based on that quote/estimated price. On the quote there was no mention of any upcharges for additional crew, there in lies another issue. You've been paid, I understand the charges, you need to understand my issue with your company and that process. The additional charges dropped were for "Step-Charges", you used no steps, only the elevator and a hallway. My total was still $1700, which is 3.5X what I was quoted. I reiterate, do not trust your move to this company, they are predatory and will only upcharge you and move extremely slow/tell you they need multiple trips to achieve a straight forward move.

You have a concierge to answer questions when you purchase & a dispatcher to tell you where the movers are via text and/or phone call. A $400 down payment is required. Our rate was $160/hour all inclusive, no minimum # of hours required. We had about 25 items moved, all big stuff like mattresses, washer, dryer, couch, dressers... it took them 3 hours, including 25 minute travel time. All payment can be made online via PayPal. Tommy, Mark and Matt, our movers, were phenomenal. They offered to move any item we wanted & were great conversationalist. While they deserved several breaks, they didn't stop until they were done. The service, friendliness and communication from booking the appointment to the last item moved exceeded my expectations. In general, hiring movers is worth every penny. I can not recommend Local Anything enough! The only complaint I had was they arrived an hour and a half later than the 2 hour buffer/service time. Though they quickly made up for that small annoyance.

It took them way longer than expected to complete the move (12 hours one day and had to come back the next day to finish for 8 hours or so!). To make matters worse, during our move (8/11/2019), the movers scratched my hardwood floor but were prompt in recognizing the issue and submitting it right away to their "Claims" department (I doubt there is such a department as I have yet to receive a call from them or anyone from this company in the matter). I have been calling them constantly to follow up on the claim as I am in the process of finalizing a sale on my house and have still not gotten a resolution. I keep getting the run arounds every time I call them and never get any followup call backs as they always promise. It's 8/30/19 today and still no resolution and I am closing on my house in less than a week. My latest call conversation was on Wednesday, 8/28/19 and the representative promised he would give me a status update on the same day and still nothing 2 days later. Mind you, when they were partially down with the work on the first day, they requested payment to be made right before they could leave my house but it's taking them weeks to even attempt to process my claim.
