Looked for a long haul moving company from Columbus, Ohio to Yorba Linda, CA. Found a gem of a moving company. I used to be an owner operator for Allied Van Lines and because of my experience, I was expecting great service. And, I found it with All American Moving Company! I packed and disassembled my household goods and all they had to do was load, drive to the destination, and unload. Took 4 hrs at pickup and 2 hrs at destination. Mike, the owner was honest, thorough and professional in all areas from the beginning to the end. He's your go to guy for any concerns, comments, etc. Jacob, the driver, and his crew did an outstanding job and again, was professional, friendly, and considerate of our household goods. We had a very disappointing experience with this company. We called multiple times in advance to confirm my appointment and was reassured each time that everything was set. However, on the day of the move, no one showed up. After waiting over an hour past the scheduled time, We had to call them myself to find out what was going on; only then was I told the appointment had been canceled. There was no proactive communication, no courtesy call, and no effort made to notify me ahead of time. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability or assistance afterward. They did not offer to help find a replacement or provide any solution, leaving me scrambling at the last minute. This level of unprofessionalism and poor communication is unacceptable, especially for a service as time-sensitive as moving. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company. read more

I have used All American several times for my moving needs. Twice to move my office and twice to move my home. Each time I was greeted by friendly, energetic and FAST movers. They laid plastic on the floor of the place we were leaving and the place I was moving in to. I would have never thought of that! They wrapped every piece of furniture to make sure it would not get bumped or broken. I thought they did a very very good job. They are very fast too. Here's a great example of their speed. I was moving, my neighbor was moving. I had All American come at 9:00 am, their mover came around 10 am. As we were leaving with a truck full of my house, the movers at my neighbors were still loading, they had put furniture out in the street to try to organize it in the truck and it started raining. I watched MY NEIGHBORS moving company scramble while everything got wet. I won't mention who their mover was, but let's just say there were two men and a truck. All American followed me to my new location, moved everything in - in record time, and when I went back to my old place after WE WERE DONE moving in, my neighbors' movers were still working on getting their stuff out! Please note, my truck was full and there were 3 movers from All American. I gave them a huge tip! They were awesome!!! I would recommend them to anyone, anytime. read more

The company my husband work bought a store in Seattle Washington. The company paid for all moving expenses. The contract was signed and the movers our belongings on loaded us in South Carolina on 10/20/2021. The movers dropped our belonging off in Seattle on 11/06/2021. Per the contracts white glove package packs and unpacks. The package also puts furniture together. The driver had two men show up to help him. The movers started bringing in our belongings. The boxes were crushed, and the furniture broken. We started taking pictures and videos right away. The movers put everything in the living room, charged us $80.00 to walk seven steps, and left. I called the moving company the same day. The moving company said, " We will take care of everything". We mad e a claim with the Charlie Peterson, the claim representative. He gave us a claim number #American10-38-21. He called us back stating, " the business closed, and offered $300.00 for the lost and damaged property". he also stated, " if the owner Robert ever opened a new moving business, we would be paid back first". We never heard back from them. On 12/2/2021 I made a claim with my insurance company, and contacted an attorney, for advice. The attorney advised me to file a report with the Washinton State Attorney General, Office of the Inspector General, and the BBB. I filed all of those 12/03/2021, After I called Charlie Peterson. Charlie was so smug and ended up hanging up on me. I have never left a yelp review, but this is a must. This is an injustice for both the company who paid and us. Not exaggerating when I say that they're the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. Not only were they destructive but they were completely dishonest. We had some furniture that we ordered from Restoration Hardware being delivered and the movers from All American broke a pretty decent sized hole in our drywall, scratched our wall in multiple places and ruined our stairwell on our stairs. Look, these things happen when it comes to movers. This was beyond a normal little scratch, but OK, it happens - the company ALWAYS takes responsibility, pays for the damage and it's over. Well, not All-American Moving and Storage, the most dishonest company I've ever with. Not only did they not fix or take responsibility for anything, they've lied to me over and over agin. First, the mover on site begins taking pictures of the damage on his way out so he can send them to his manager who will "call me that afternoon to take care of the damage." It's been 3 weeks and no one has ever called me. I've called them over and over and talked to people a total of 2 times. The woman in scheduling in Columbus was the first to lie to me. She said she would tell the manager and to email her the pictures and the manager would contact me. Never heard a word. The Columbus VP, who finally answered his phone after numerous voicemails, said he fired the Cleveland manager over this and would fix the damage ASAP. This was 8 days ago. Never called me again. This guy finally answered the phone and lied to my face over and over. He said "I can't believe this happened. We've messed up and so sorry for the damage and I'm driving up to Cleveland so I can investigate this myself and absolutely take care of this for you. I will call you or even meet with you in person to solve the issue." This was last week. The guy never called me again, dodged my calls and voicemails and emails and keeps ignoring me. The most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. He talked to me for over 15 minutes, saying how sorry he was and how upset I have the right to be over this and made it sound like he'd take care of everything. Now been 9 days and no contact with him. Look, if I had to incur this damage in order for no one to ever have to use this dishonest, deceitful and unprofessional company again, that's the only way this whole thing would be worth it. For someone to walk into your house and damage it is one thing. To not take any responsibility for the damage, not answer your calls, finally answer and lie and lie and not fix damage you caused is just beyond me. Please never use this company again. That's the only way this disastrous episode I've had to deal with would in any way be made fair. read more

Stay away from thus company.. It started as excepted with a great sells experience then with to shit snd the down payment was collected.. The contracted moving team called to come pick up a day early, then called and wanted to come hours earlier.. So we had to run around and pack and label boxes.. The team was 5 guys and of course the space upsale began.. No problem there.. So the team started to load.. they took ev even the 4 boxes of clearly mark alcohol.. which was not supposed to be removed, but no one mentioned it and took count for the all of the boxes taken.. The contra was signed and the team made and extra $2000.00 and left with my money and alcohol . Do we we're told to call whenever we're ready to get our items.. so 2 weeks later we call for out items and this is were the shit show continues.. First off i have pictures to support all damage and missing inventory.. So the new movi crew shows ip in a rush because the driver had another job he needs to get to.. So the 2 helpers were stressed to get the truck unloaded and damaged my walls and dented and scratched my NEW hardwood floors and scratched my walls .. I took pictures of the dama and told the driver he said ok took one picture of the corner the move dented with the hand cart and said ok, the company really big so, i take picture and send in.. So, my wife goes out to the truck and finds the driver seat in her office chair in the back of the truck with an attitude like it was his chair and he shouldn't have been disturbed.. About 40 minutes pass and he comes in and statts rushing to 2 helper to finish so he could leave.. So upon inspection of the items I find all 4 boxes of alcohol are missing. So as instructed, i called the company to try and resolve the issue of the missing boxes and damage done to my NEW Home.. When i callec we were told the the Claims guy Charlie does come in till Wednesday, ok no problem, so i called back and spoke to Charlie Peterson 201-345-7736.. He started off with with an arrogant tone like I was bothering him and he had more important things to do with his time then look into my missing items . He did state that the team shouldn't have removed boxes of alcohol , and he needs me to send in an itemized list of missing items from all the boxes as well as pictures of the damage to my home. In an attempt to get the issue resolved quickly, i items all the the alcohol that was i. the boxes and well as sent him pictues of the damage to the walks and hardwood follows.. I called to verify he received the e-mail and he confirmed and ssid to call him back on 11/4/21.. In 11/4/21 I received a call from Charlie.. He states oh the guy who moved you went back to his country if something So I'm giving you $300.00.!! Like he was doing me afavor.. when i asked him what happened to the estimate i sent for all the boxes of alcohol?? This is when he started raising his voice and said" I know they was supposed to take it!! and I'M NOT GOING back over it.. So then i asked what about the damage to my floor?? He continued to get louder and starter calling me a moRon and and asked him, Charlie Where's your professionalism? and he gets even louder anb continued to call me a moron and if i'm not going to take his offer of $300.00.. I then told him no and it's been over 2 weeks and i haven't heard from anyone else.. i sent in all my documents and picturesI havve been disrespected and denied an kind od reasonable resolutions.. I requsted fir the owner/ CEO to call e but I guess Charlie didn't pass the message.. I don't want Charlie to contact me because od his unprofessional behavior.. Run, don't walk away from this company. I gave them a detailed list of items I needed to move. They low balled the estimate (both cubic feet and price) they gave me to entice me to use their service. I paid them the deposit. When the movers came, they said that only about half the items on my list will fit in the space allotted. I had to eventually pay double the original quoted price to move fewer items than agreed upon. Their estimate, in other words, bore no resemblance to the actual facts on the ground, and served no useful purpose. When I called them back to complain, I got the run around, which is to be expected because once they hook you in and get paid, you, the customer, has no leverage over them at all and no recourse. This company is nothing but a bunch of thieves. Beware! The sales people do not actual know what it takes to move. They make the bid so low that it is way to good to be true. (should have been my red flag) The movers they actually sent are subcontracted. We were expecting an 18 wheeler, and they came with a truck we could have rented from Uhaul. The square foot that was quoted, mind you, I physically measured every piece of furniture for them, was not even near what the moving guys came up with. Apparently, their little program produces magic numbers to get you to place a deposit with them. So when the rinky dink movers got here and started quoting over another $3000 more and if we wanted to keep the same quote we would have to let stuff behind. Yes, that is what they offered! I've used All American Moving & Storage every time I've moved apartment buildings in Columbus. Each time they are reliable, friendly and fairly priced. I've heard horror stories of other moving companies and can say I've only had a positive experience in the 3 moves I've used this company. The company sends 2 movers for a 1 bedroom move and it typically takes 3-4 hours depending on the amount of boxes and furniture. You can rent wardrobe boxes which make it so easy to move your clothes from your closet. If you're looking for a moving company in Columbus I'd highly recommend this one! read more

This company I have worked in the past. John the manager from Cincinnati is rude as well as unprofessional. They are self insured at 25000 and employees have to pay back any damages incurred. Any type of claims they prolong the out comes. Especially if a vehicle claim. Pay is decent but you Definetly will get burnt out. Employees such as drivers and movers are impaired while on the job. In the Cincinnati branch there is a lot of stealing as well. I was in an accident with this company and I have paid 1526 and have not gotten a copy of my accident report (which I should be entitle to) as well as the accident wasn't reported to their insurance company. All american has hit my family vehicles numerous times as well last year. E months later I just received a check for the damages that were made on one of the vehicles. Company didn't call police with the accident when it happened. Also the employee was on an illegal substance and wasn't drug tested for it just because he said he couldn't pass for that substance. I gave the company overall 4 stars because it was a bit pricy. I had budgeted a certain amount and was taken back a bit by the amount added for packaging and travel. Dave Sr and Trevor Gullion were fantastic. They were polite and friendly and the work they did was excellent. The two of them carried in three large heavy pieces of furniture after first preparing the floors and rooms. They put the pieces together and explained what they had done. We could not be more pleased. As a side note, as a gay couple, we were so pleased that the guys never even batted an eye when one of them asked "where would you and your husband like this centered?" On 6/7/18 an employee of All American Moving and Storage hit my daughters car while it was sitting at a gas pump. As requested by the president of the company I obtained 2 estimates. Per the police report this company is self insured. My daughters car is yet to be fixed. A few months back I received a call from John Thomas, Cincinnati Branch Manager, informing me the president of the company was going to make payments until he had paid off the estimate. The first check I received was a little over $300. the estimate was over $1800. I have received around $1000, but have not received another check in months. I will never use this company and would never recommend it to anyone!! read more

Nearly double the price (estimate $868 - final bill $1411) ... slow moving, caught them just standing around for 20 minutes (I get you need breaks, but that cost equates to $87.5 according to the hourly rate) ... broke glasses and buffet inset ... because they took over four hours loading the truck, I asked them to delay lunch until after we had unloaded the electronics so the cable guy who I told them early in the day was scheduled for 1pm could do the install and testing ... they agreed and then decided to take lunch anyway on the way to the next location (which was 1 mile from the first) ... I missed the window for the cable guy and had to reschedule ... which took another 3 days ... thanks guys ... and thanks for the inflated price tag. read more

This company is terrible at communication. They claim they failed to charge me for some of my storage and hit me with an additional $800 straight out of my account without discussing it with me. Their workers are lazy; only one of the four guys on my job did any work. They attempted to drive away and leave the dining room table and six chairs outside because 'they forgot'. Terrible job. Had a terrible time with this moving company. They were supposed to be at my apartment at 4, delayed and delayed again until 830pm saying another job ran over. I understand, but they had no contingency plan. The movers showed up and said I had way more stuff then they were told. I also agreed to just two movers but three came, the manager then told me he would have to charge me for three. I had called him back twice to ensure I had more stuff than originally planned (I was supposed to move some things previously but buddies truck died). He basically made it out I was lying. We hired All American a couple of weeks before our move from apt to apt. We have a piano that has been mishandled by a different moving company in the past and expressed to both the office and to our moving crew that we were a bit nervous about that particular item. They were very understanding about it and moved everything of ours, including the piano, very gently and quickly, and for a very reasonable fee. I have used this moving company three times: to move a full townhouse from Columbus to Dublin, to move a bed and piano from Youngstown to Dublin, and to move all of the above from Dublin to Cleveland. Each time they were a tad tardy, but at least one of those occasions was due to snow. Outside of the tardiness, they were fast, efficient, and took great care in moving all of the items. Awful! I hired them for my move a couple of weeks ago. They showed up 6 1/2 hours late! They sent people from a temp agency that took 7 hours to move my two bedroom apartment. I had my wedding band stolen, as well as gift cards and a check book from my dresser. They ripped my new mattress. The company was a little disorganized from the start in that I got a call the day before my move saying they had misplaced my address. That should have been the first red flag. The day of the move, they damaged some of my furniture, which I understands happens. I had bought full replacement insurance and, at first, they were receptive to fixing the damage. However, after 1-2 weeks, they were very non-responsive and I had to call multiple times to get someone to attend to the issues. I was often put on hold for over 10 minutes at a time. After investing a lot of my own time (taking time off work, etc), I was able to get things taken care of but I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more
