I am extremely disappointed with CubeSmart's handling of damage to my belongings and the lack of follow-through from facility management. I reported water damage after discovering wet property inside my storage unit, including a visibly wet box and furniture covered with an unidentified black substance. However, my claim was classified and denied as "rodent damage," even though I never filed a claim for rodent damage. The manager did not look at my unit until approximately two weeks after I discovered the damage. He arrived at 5:58 p.m., left at 5:59 p.m., did not walk inside the unit, and only performed a quick scan from the doorway. I have now learned that he did not even document this visit or place notes about it on my account. Despite the lack of a timely or thorough inspection, I was told there was no source of water intrusion. How can a one-minute doorway glance, conducted approximately two weeks later and not documented on my account, be considered a proper investigation? Customers pay monthly storage fees and additional protection-plan costs with the expectation that property damage will be taken seriously. Instead, my claim was assigned a cause of loss I never reported and denied based on an exclusion that does not address my actual claim. I am asking CubeSmart's corporate leadership to review how this matter was handled, reopen my claim, and ensure that a complete and fair investigation is conducted. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this location to anyone who expects management to properly respond when something goes wrong. read more

6446 E Main St Reynoldsbur,Ohio-WOMEN BEWARE!!!! There were 3 signs posted for First month Free. I was told the first month was not free. Web site offers a moving truck. I was told the truck is broken and they don't know when it would be fixed. Two men (one did not work there) locked the gate and tried to walk me back to the furthest part of the facility. One star is being very generous.. Anything in the unit of value.. such as boots (ugg, timberland) winter boots, pots pans (cast iron) dishes, carpet cleaner, Decorative items (crystal), candle holders ((silver), silverware.. I mean anything you would want to keep was stolen.. obviously an inside job there was no evidence of a break in.. so when you pay late they will cut your locks and replace them.. unnecessarily so being there is room for two locks.. this would have been the only time my unit was opened without me.. The manager Brian, his only response was to give me the insurance company number.. no questions whatsoever, because he already knew.. he stole my property.. but God don't like ugly he will pay.. I'm sure he will.. there was so much missing it hurts to mention it.. he even lied to the police about not having cameras.. the monitor is on in the office daily.. why would you have a monitor that is of no value.. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES.. read more

I find these people terrible to work with. They sneak costs into the contract, like insurance that I did not need. I now have to go to my homeowners company and get a letter or copy of the declarations page to prove I have homeowners ... ALL after the fact. When I call up to discuss this issue, all the woman on the phone did was argue with me and tell me that this is all i the contract I signed ... a contract that was on a little I-Phone that went on for several pages and was impossible to read. Yes, legally they are covered. Also, when I leave a voicemail, I just don't hear anything back. Also, these areas are supposed to be secured. Often when I go there, the security gate is wide open. ANYONE with a set of bolt cutters can walk right in an take what they want. I will never use them again. read more

I almost forgot to write this review. Then the geniuses sent me an email stating that I had vacated the unit on 10/31/2021. I vacated it on 10/29 (when the current month was up), went into their office, and personally notified them that the unit was swept, unlocked, and available for rental the next day. That is only the latest example of their lousy customer service. Some other examples: They raised my rates 20%, prompting me to cancel the unit. They wouldn't cash the bill-pay check for the old rate until I gave them a check for the difference in rates. When I contacted corporate, they told me that the local manager would contact me and asked me for my phone number. I refused to provide it and requested contact by email. They called anyway. I refused to pick up since the request for email was to ensure a paper trail of any discussion. They left a message. I called back and again instructed them that I would only interact via email. The next email I got was from noreply@cubesmartmail.com and was the errant email mentioned above. Don't do business with these people. They are the perfect example of Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence. read more

Don't go anytime between 4:30 and 5:00 they close at 5:00! But they will close early! They always do. Usually an establishment will close at the scheduled time and start shutting down then but they close early like everytine. It's actually stressful, those 10-20 minutes MATTER. Don't close earlier then what is said online or on the actual site. If that is the case, update the hours and say they will close 10-20 minutes earlier. I came last week and I left my id, I went less then 8 minutes away to my house came back and they were closed and the woman had a fake puppy dog look on her face. She didn't know that I was dealing with a violent situation and needed my stuff updated that day. Nor is it her responsibility to know but it is her responsibility to close at the time it says ON THE SITE AND ONLINE NOT BEFORE . She's nice tho. read more

This storage unit is the highest priced locally and they just raised the price an additional $30 per month. You have to buy their insurance for an additional $12 per month. I have not seen that with other storage units. Very disappointed!! read more

The service in person is good but I have called the manager on 4 separate occaissions and left voicemail. However no one has returned any of my calls, but if I place a reservation online, I am called within 5min. Once a customer, is there any service besides where's our money? The location is convenient some of the lights outside the units need to be replaced for security reasons. read more

This is my second time using CubeSmart, the staff was absolutely great!!! i showed up 5 minutes before closing this time due to heavy traffic. I apologized however,they had great attitudes very professional. They treated me as though they had just opened. read more
