They said they "reevaluate their market value" each year and the price can change. -- Personally they should re-evaluate their upkeep in their building construction and their thought process with pricing if they want to keep or gain any customers. Now there were 3 people using the unit and there was some miscommunication about who was paying. This is our fault. Unfortunately, they auctioned off the locker for a grand $40.00. There was something irreplaceable in there. It was a painting of my sons' sister who passed from cancer about 10 years ago. She was 15. All 3 kids were teenagers. It is the only thing we are trying to track down. We couldn't get ahold of anyone for days. Then when we did they transferred us to their call center. They aren't able to help. Called again and got vmail. Left a message and got a call back. The man was very nice. I explained to him the situation. Asked that he possibly contact the buyer and give them our contact information to see if they have the painting. He said he would see what can be done and contact the district manager and call me the next morning because he is only there for 2 hours each day in the mornings. We had hope. He did not call back. Now unknown to me my daughter in law had already tried to contact the district manager but did not receive a response back. We posted all over Facebook and 2 people said they had seen the painting and someone was trying to find the owner. They didn't remember what group it was though. I called and left another message explaining that whoever purchased the locker was trying to find the owner of the painting on FB. Hoping for a call back tomorrow. We take responsibility. We are just devastated at the lack of empathy and humanity we have been shown.

Kami was not only friendly and welcoming, she went above and beyond to ensure we we had everything we needed, responded to calls and requests immediately, and always made us feel like her most important customers. We have had a lot of experience with various storage companies in both MO and FL. This was one of the best experiences I can recall. The property was spotless, safe, and secure. The coded entry gate was always functional and the roller door to our 10x30 unit operated smoothly. The interior of the unit was clean and dry, without any evidence of bugs or vermin. Whenever we were there Kami always dropped by to see if we needed anything and ensure there were no problems. I have never experienced that at any other storage place. She was protective of us and our property and even checked some of our furniture with us to refute one of our movers. I appreciate that she showed genuine interest and concern. As long as Kami is at this location I will use it for my future storage needs and definitely refer anyone I know in the area looking for a self storage facility.

As I'm sure many other storage places do, once you have committed to use their space and you have your items in storage, they raise your rent. However, the real reason I'm giving this facility one star is the poor service. On Saturday I rented a small truck and went to Public Storage to remove my items, a large couch and two living room chairs. I arrive to see a sign on the elevator that says, "Elevator not working. Sorry!" Gosh, the "Sorry!" really doesn't help a lot, given that there was no dolly on the second floor and no ability to move heavy items from the second to the first floor other than the stairs. The person in the office was exceedingly unhelpful. On Monday I wanted to ensure the facility knew that I had moved out and wanted the unit cancelled. There's no human being at either the 314 number to the Barrett Station Road facility or the Public Storage 800 number (both numbers are actually the same, they give you the same menu). Of course, after telling you to go to the app or the web site, you get the option, not to speak with a human being, but to leave a message in case someone deigns to call you back. The office hours are listed on the app as 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. I called at 2:47 pm and left a message with my phone number. I wanted to make certain they received the message, so I called again at 4:29 and left another message. It's now 5:26 pm, close to three hours after I left a message, and I've heard nothing from Public Storage. I've been wracking my brain, but it's difficult to see how their customer service could be any worse.
