Cheaply made storage units with plywood doors. My storage unit was an inside unit, it still got broken into. Told them I would be in the next day to go over everything but no one showed up. Waited for over 2 for the office to open past when they supposedly opened at 0930. I've been using storage units for years and this is by far the worst company/location. If you're looking for a storage unit I would recommend you go somewhere else not worth the money. read more

Ray goes above and beyond to ensure that your storage experience is a great one. My rent had doubled over the year so he suggested that I move into a smaller space. He paid special attention to getting my new unit and my old unit as close as possible and he focused on me not having to do stairs. He spent an hour on the phone with me until he fully understood what I was trying to tell him. Because of that I was able to make my move right away and avoid being charged for the old unit. He warned me that once the fee was charged he would be unable to credit me for moving early in the month. I really appreciated the honesty and the fact that his goal was my satisfaction and not his bottom dollar! Five star customer service made all the difference! read more

I signed up for auto pay and was charged for the whole month of February on February 2, 2024. I no longer needed the storage unit so I cancel my service and moved out on February 13, 2024 and was told by the dayshift business employee I would be getting a credit back since I paid up the whole month but only used the unit for about half the time. Well, I was never given a credit and when asking about it I was told i would not get a credit. And I was so highly upset I couldnt even talk on the telephone. It does make sense and it is not fair and it seems to be illegal for me not to get a credit for a stoge unit I did not use. PUT A BAN ON PUBLIC STORAGE UNTIL THEY CHANGE THIS TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. read more

I've been a tenant for seven years & right this minute have never felt more unvalued from a business in my life. I've always felt secure in the fact of knowing that if i had anything to do with my storage unit & i was running later than usual to leave, that it was no problem that i finish my task & leave as soon as i could considering i could still get out but no one could get in. Which was great. But now, if I'm even four mins past gate closing im being threatened that if it happens again i am to be evicted. I've never been so dissatisfied with a service in my life. Constant rent raises(started paying less than $100/month, now paying over $200) & now i get harassed & threatened cuz i couldn't get a tie off untied from my rig fast enough for the storage version of Nurse Rachet. I don't appreciate being spoken to in such a manner & i sure as hell don't appreciate having my entry code refused to me when I'm a paying customer! My bill is paid up & on time as ALWAYS for the past seven years, holding one's property hostage is ILLEGAL!! Especially over four mins. If i need to stay two mins past closing then i should be allowed, without harassment, to have those two mins especially since there has NEVER been an issue before this & was NEVER brought to my attention if it was. I'm not happy with that person running the store & feel she needs to be retrained, sent to sensitivity classes or fired. But that's just me. But seeing as moving isn't an option for me at this time I'm stuck with them. Now i risk the chance of having my property stolen &/or potentially left out in the rain overnight if i can't get my task done before exact closing time so i don't get evicted. If i could get my stuff moved & restored & stiff them with the bill right now i would. They just seem to keep hiring someone worse than the last for the past few years. Im so tired of being taken advantage of & treated like something they stepped in. Screw Public Storage! Can't wait to find someplace better! Oh. Savannah was the complete professional and set an appointment time for later that same morning. I arrived early, and not only did she know it was me, but was also ready for a property tour. Read the fine print and put the dates on the calendar. Moved my stuff in on a really good deal. Wanted to get out before I owed another month I didn't need. I got out on the 2nd of the month. I thought I had til the 7th because of what I remembered from what the clerk, Savannah, told me when I moved in. But, apparently that was the late fee date... Got charged a whole month I didn't need and they refused to pro rate it. That tightens my budget for Christmas a little... Make sure you got the dates plugged in correctly in your calendar. I left my car parked here for nearly 5 months and when I came back the battery had died. The woman working behind the desk was extremely helpful with getting me into and out of the lot so I could deal with the situation; she even offered to give me the use of her jumper cables and vehicle if I needed. She even covered my car back up when the cover had blown off. Good people are always worth remembering. read more

HIDDEN FEES I thought I was getting a terrific deal for the size unit I rented until I show up on site to complete paperwork and bam, 2 hidden fees that the call center failed to mention. The hidden fees are 19.99 for a lock you can not use anywhere else but is your to keep when you are done renting.... And monthly insurance that ranges from $11-$15 depending on how much coverage you need. These are both required in order to rent fron them. I was pretty upset because I turned down a couple other units that would have been cheaper after all. The girl at the counter was great and it was not her fault that the call center failed to inform me. read more

We were moving a roommate out of Public Storage - the rate had been unevenly raised through the time he was there and even though the advertised price for the 10x20 unit was listed as $167. His rate, paid on October 1, 2022 was $391.00 - he received an email on the 31st of October 2022 saying "You're all moved out and settled up. We appreciate you making your final payment on Space 5693. There's nothing else due at this time. Balance due: $0. On November 2nd, 2022, he received an email saying he had a balance due after moving out of $462 for rent. So - an increase of $71 in one month? Rip off! After several attempts to match my schedule with times the manager is there without that BE BACK SOON SIGN on the door I decide to wait the 10 minutes until the clock reaches the sign. There he is with a customer following him inside I follow behind with the door locked in front of my fave with no word. He comes back and unlocks it with apologies. After another 5 minutes of waiting he finally asks what I'm here for and then tells me there are no units available. A FUCKING NO VACANCY SIGN WOULD HAVE SAVED ME TIME YOU FUCK HOLES. read more

We are new residents in Bremerton, WA and PS was super close to us. Their prices were reasonable and they were very accommodating. When we arrived we were greeted by Jeff who already knew who we were and had all our info ready to go. He showed us our storage first and asked if it was what we were looking for and then said that if it wasn't he could accommodate our needs. However, the unit he gave us was perfect! I appreciate the location of this Public Storage, but otherwise I am not impressed. We rented from the Port Orchard Public Storage and had great customer service and our monthly statement was emailed to ensure a payment was not missed. Since we moved to this Public Storage, it has not added up to our expectations. We did not get the $1 first month rent because we had used Public Storage before, despite being told that the two businesses had nothing to do with each other. We were asked for our email address, which I thought was for a monthly statement to be sent to us. After missing a payment because I never saw an email, which I never missed a payment while at the Port Orchard Public Storage, the lady told us that it's illegal to send a payment notification. I find this hard to believe since every other business I have ever entered into a payment agreement with has always sent a payment reminder or monthly statement. She was quick to call the day that we were charged a late fee, however, which seems to me to be a way to get an extra $20. As soon as we can find a house with storage on site, we are out of here! read more
