I believe my wife has rented from Coppertop Storage for over 5 years, which would be more than $16,200 in fees. I called today to say I'm moving out less than 24 hours after I was charged for the coming month. I had called yesterday but got a voice mail. Since I'm moving out 4 days into the new month I asked whether it could be pro rated. Their contract says prorating entering is at the owner's discretion, so I reasonably expected they'd follow the golden rule on exiting. Instead, the owner Karina refused. She apparently wouldn't even speak with me, leaving her administrator, a nice guy, to deliver her hard "no." For what they call premium rates, the experience is far from premium. Lights inside frequently shut off mid-move, the dolly/cart is often missing or hidden, and outdoor lighting at night is dangerously inadequate. Safety, service, and accountability suffer -- all while they charge top dollar. Do you really want to give your money to someone so high-handed with your property and trust? There are lower-cost, more dependable storage alternatives on Bainbridge.
