Great Facility, Debbie at the front desk has always been extremely sweet and and very willing to lend a helping hand.

This location does not offer the $1.00 for the first month deal. You will have to pay for a lock that can only be used with their storage units. The lock is very pricey. You will also have to pay for renter insurance and you won't be allowed to use your own coverage. This is also pricey. If you are one day late paying, you will have to pay $80.00 late fees. They will not negotiate this even under dire circumstances.The staff is not able to help without having further instructions from corporate so there are no immediate solutions or needs met. After telling my family and friends about the hidden costs and horrible location, we will not use any Public Storage locations for our storage needs. The folks on staff were very easy to work with and the facility was secure. It was easy to access everything I had in storage, including moving in and out. Zoe was super helpful when I told her I lost my key to my storage. She called her boss right away and the boss, Jason, came in under an hour and cut my lock! They are super fast and helpful. I'm so glad they did it fast so I don't have to go overtime on my uhaul rental. The best experience in renting a storage so far! read more

So, the $1 to start first month isn't really $1. Then insurance. Blah Blah. The place I rent is in Bothell, WA and yes at first they had their carts locked up and you could only use during business hours. It is a clean place, nice location, etc. The only beef that I have is when I started renting my unit it was $98 a month. Then they raised the Insurance a little. And they raise their rent $10 EVERY YEAR. I have a small storage unit in Monroe, (Evergreen Mini Storage) - I rented that small unit about 15 years ago at $49. My payment is still $49. It is farther to travel, but the price is worth it. They are very nice. I missed a payment once and they did not charge me a fee. Janet T read more

The place is clean and secure. The people at the front desk were very friendly even though I could not figure out how to use the elevator.

Was told I could call to cancel my insurance with them, now I am in a different state. I called them to cancel and they declined saying that I needed to be there in person. Now I am stuck with the $15/month insurance charge. Bad customer service. read more

This place is dreadfully short-staffed: Monday to Friday before 6 the desk is only maintained by one person, so if you need to start a new order, buy packing supplies, or use the restroom, you may have to wait. They've made this problem worse by requiring the attendants to make regular trips to the bank, et al. read more

My wife's parents have a storage unit here and we have some things stored in their unit. Her name is on the contract to visit this storage unit and we needed to pick some stuff up. One complication, we lost our key so my wife called and asked what the procedure would be. They said it would be no problem so, we then rented a truck and drove 2 hours to this unit with 2 small children and when we arrive the lady said then that she couldn't let us in and the manager would have to be on site to drill the lock and couldn't arrive for 2 days. She said the alternative was to call a locksmith. She said we also have the option of drilling the lock ourselves (Would have been nice to know before we left). Frustrated we said I wish you would have let us know I could have brought my drill. She insisted that she told us. I told her, I'm not a locksmith and I hope I don't damage the door on my way out. We then drove to home depot and I bought a drill with bits and came back to find that the woman had disabled our code to get in and posted a sign saying she would be back in 30 minutes. We then waited 30 more minutes for her to come back and rudely say, "You're probably looking for me, if you'd like to come into my office we can discuss". She then says she revoked our access because she thought we would damage the door. We went around in circles for nearly another 30 minutes before finally she called the manager and she said well I just need to see that they have the right equipment to get in. I showed the drill and the bits and she said ok, yes that's the right equipment. Eventually hours later we were able to get in, I drilled the lock without damaging anything and we purchased another. Vindictive, unbelievably rude staff. I've never been treated so poorly. read more

Update... Those of you who are interested in renting a space should know that the insurance they sell you is a crock!!! They literally force you to pay for it by saying it's required, or they will threaten to not rent to you. All you need to do is tell them you have renters insurance already, they will ask if it covers storage, you say "yes". Most renters policies do cover self storage facilities, they will do or say anything they can to get more money out of their customers. By the way, the insurance PS sells, they have interest because they keep the money and if you need to make a claim good luck collecting on it... read more

Debbie was wonderful and empathetic to my situation. She patiently showed me the unit I had originally reserved and also a smaller one when I wasn't sure if I needed the bigger one. She made the sign-up process as painless as possible and was sure to point out the materials I'd need for packing and storing. I would highly recommend this location based on her service alone. Aside from that, there is secure entry and the facility is very, very clean. I'm glad to have peace of mind that my stuff will have a safe home there, even if temporarily. read more

Wow. The manager went way above and beyond to help me out. I was desperate to move my stuff into temporary storage and she was helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed. She knew I was stressed and in a hurry. She was quick and calm in signing me up and showing me how to pack so I could get the best value. She really seemed to care about her job and her customers. Its storage. Nothing more and nothing less. I got what I expected which is a good clean, secure space to store my winter clothes and skis. I did like that each unit has an alarm on it but I'm not sure what happens if this alarm goes off. They don't send a paper bill just an email bill each month so make sure you sign up for auto pay so you don't get hit with any late fees. read more

I called the call center number and thankfully an english speaking person helped me locate this location which was right near my house. The gal at the front counter was very delightful and we ended up renting only one unit when we thought we would end up needing two units. The gal then took the extra time and showed us how to stack and pack everything so we could sqeeze into this one unit. She didn't try to upsell us anything we didn't need. After my first experience they have earned my full trust in them. read more

They have really changed my mind now as they have gone above and beyond for me and provided great customer service. I lost my keys and within the same day the District Manager came out of his way and was able to cut off the lock so I can get back in immediately. No hassles at all. Just came back from getting a good deal on my storage unit at this Public Storage on Bothell Way. The clerk, Debbie, was very professional and showed me the unit, went through each of the may forms they have people sign, and explained my options thoroughly. She tried to offer packing tape, boxes, etc but I left with what I needed coming in which is just a storage unit. If people are not careful the late fees can get you in trouble. Everything is stated nad they have you sign but if you are not careful you'll be paying a lot for months not included in the offers. read more

I rented a unit today and filled out the paperwork online which gave me a better price then going straight in which was very easy to do. Then I went in and they had all my info ready to go which was really nice. The woman behind the counter was great and professional. That part I give an A+. The part I didn't like is how they advertise $1 for the first months rent. It actually turns out to be $60! There is a $24 fee for set up and then they make you buy their lock. They switched locks on all of their units for better safety. I get that, thats great but then they put the cost of it on the renters by making them buy the lock. Which they never tell you until they ask you for your credit card. Also they won't rent to you until you pay for renters insurance. Fortunately my home owners insurance covers it so I can cancel that when I want. The first months rent is very deceptive and a load of crap. I was very disappointed on how this is all set up. I am hoping my rental here goes smoothly and there are no other hidden fees. read more
