I do NOT Recommend renting here!
first off I have been renting a 10x20 unit from this storage place for almost a year now. when I first got the storage unit they were called "security storage" and they were awesome! then three months ago public storage bought them out or started managing them or whatever they did but everything changed. the hours of access, the customer service, the contracts and the rules. But, the thing I'm most mad about is the price!!! I have always paid $250(rent) + $15(insurance). now just because they are a "public storage" they think they can raise my rent to $325(rent) + $15 (insurance). for what!? they are out of their minds. why would someone pay more for something when the hours have decreased (from being 24/7access down to 6am to 9pm)!? or when the customer service is impossible to get ahold of!? or when their rent goes up nearly $100 after being there for almost a year and for no reason at all !? so, if you are considering renting a unit from this location I highly recommend reconsidering! If it was still security storage ( and was ran the same way it was when I first signed a lease here) I would say yes rent from them but ever since public storage has taken over this place has gone down hill and they are ripping people off and they are impossible to get ahold of to speak with a real person and there hours for access suck!
note to "public storage ": at least stay open til 10 pm like all the other storage places near you do! and for goodness sake don't raise someone's rent for no reason!
I'll be looking for a new storage facility, and will now have to move all my stuff , rent a uhaul, hire movers ! which is not something I am wanting to do or was planning on having to do or am financially prepared to do right now but am uncomfortable with the thought of staying there! it's a very stressful and upsetting situation for someone to be in.
ok I'm finished ranting now! thanks... but seriously if you have an option look else where, this storage facility is not fair and they rip people off! read more
