You need to be aware of public storage! They price gouge and hike rates up on you almost immediately! Take your money somewhere else where a decent business is honest and forthright! They have raised my rates more than double from original price quote! There are still honest business pros out there , public storage is not one of them! read more

Beware two things from Public Storage: - Introductory rates will increase on a regular basis (my rates for a small unit were doubled within a year) - They will charge you the entire month if you move a day after your rental renews (in my case, I spent $172 for 1 day of storage) Crooks! this place is a joke,this past weekend 4 plus my daughters unit were broken into and valuables were stolen out of her unit. security doors were broken half the time and she paid an outrageous amount to have her things unsafely and insecurely stores there. people were able to go in and access 5 units and the shitty part about it is the employees claim the company they are proud to work for is not liable for anything that happened. people I urge you to read the fine print and be very aware of this SCAM. these companies don't give a shit about your belongings even though they claim they are safe and secure they deffinately are not. when someone can get in and break into 5 units and steal out of each one then NO not safe and secure. would be ashamed to work for a company who has no morals or respect for others belongings they work hard for. read more

First time I've ever used self storage. The space was clean when we got there and easily accessible. A lock was provided and everything looked secure from the entry gate to the 24 hour surveillance. Overall my experience with Public Storage has been less than desirable. Mainly because the on-site manager named Jo at the 44th and Ward Rd. Location in Wheatridge Colorado is very unfriendly. Once I was 2 minutes late leaving the facility and got locked in. She sat on her couch and ignored me outside crying to please let me out it was 9:02pm, I could see her sitting there through a crack in the blinds. I had to call corporate to get them to open the gate. What is the point of an on-site manager if the one that is there does not handle on-site after-hours issues? Also when I went to move out she lied to me about our agreement. Originally she said I had til 4:30 to be out. So at 4:15 as I was sweeping out my unit she called me and said that she had said 4 and that I would be responsible for the remainder of my contract which was $500. Even though I did exactly as agreed. It's like she planned to do me dirty even though public storage as a whole was pretty awesome to respond to the covid crisis by allowing those that fell behind on payments to pay a quarter of their bill and vacate. She was glad and excited to tell me my move out deal was in the trash and that I would be responsible for the total bill. I am very upset and in the future I would NEVER rent at that location EVER again. Customer Service is everything, I don't have any desire to deal with company representatives that are rude scandalous and dishonest. They should fire her for her dishonestly among other short comings. Rent at that location at your own risk.... Yikes this posted at the wrong location. Sorry Hann I hear you are awesome and are great at customer service. You should teach Joe at 44th and Ward Road location some of your great people skills. We needed a storage unit for some stuff including some old wooden furniture so we needed a Climate Control unit and we thought it was a Climate Controlled unit but when we went there to load my stuff, we were told by the resident manager it was heated but not cooled so if the heat stokes up, there is no way to "control the climate". Needless to say, I did not move anything in and cancelled the unit on the spot and went and found a nice Guardian unit that actually is climate controlled. We gave it one star but actually it deserved a Zero. read more

Easy, clean, and super friendly! Set us up very quickly and gave us one less thing to worry about

I have had nothing but problems trying to make payments ever since we moved our stuff into the unit. I set up for automatic debit from my bank account in my online profile, but I got a message two weeks after moving in, saying there were non-sufficient funds. I had plenty of money in that account and there was never a transaction from them, so I tried to pay again, but the same problem occurred. I called the office and there was no answer for a couple of days until I finally reached someone on a Saturday, several weeks after moving in. She was great to work with, had me go online and switch to debit card because she said they were having many issues getting ACH payments to go through. I paid the amount she told me to pay, which was less the NSF fees. She said she would waive those and all was good. However, I got a call from a VERY rude woman named Angie and she insisted I pay the NSF fees and late charges! I explained what happened and she said she didn't think she could get those waived and was very rude. I told her I wouldn't pay for those fees because none of this was my fault whatsoever! She said she would submit the request. I received another call a full week later stating I needed to pay these past due fees from another person. I explained again and she said the claim to waive the fees had been denied. I asked for the District Manager's number and will continue to fight! I highly recommend you find some place else to store your belongings!! read more

I would give this place beyond 5 stars for their employees. The reason I only give it 3 stars. Is because I think it load of crap that they up their rates on you when ever they want. Not kidding when I say they have up my rate by more $50 since when I got the unit. The last up in rates from $213 to $242 + insurances. It not like I can just move my stuff out. I had another storage unit with Uhaul place they never up my rates ever on me in the more then 2 years, I had one with them. This Public storage has up my bill more then 5 times. since I am homeless I can not just get rid off stuff and move out. Seems very poor of them to this people. Not a way to keep people in the units either. As soon as I can I will move my belonging out. I will never use this place again. If you want it for a month maybe great deal. If you need it longer look some where else. It not like they up my rates to paint the falling off paint on the unit door or fix things up. Only from what I can see because they can get more money if you have no choice but to stay. That is a shame saying Hanne and the others behind the desk or so kind and try to help. They have no control over my bill going up and up and up. It gets 3 stars because I would give -10 for bill increases and +10 for employee helpfulness. that lands them in the middle. read more
