Great indoor vibes and very loud and crowded on a Friday night. HAPPY HOUR SCHEDULE: - Sunday - Wednesday (ALL DAY) - Thursday and Friday (3pm-6pm) - Late Night (8pm - CLOSE)

A nice low key place to grab a bite to eat and drinks the Thai Coconut Curry was delicious and the service here was great.. a good place to come for happy hour with a patio and enjoy the vibes

Prom Night Cocktail

All day Happy Hour the Monday evening we came. The place was kind of empty at 6pm. It started to get busy a little while later. It' was a nice quiet vibe. Easy to carry on with conversations in your both. We started with The Prom cocktail., we also tried The Detention cocktail... consensus that the Prom was better. The Happy Hour food was good as well. I ordered the fried chicken Cobb salad. Parking garage located on Cardiff.

Mac and Cheese

Food: - Happy hour sliders: came with 2, basically 2 bite, sliders. Flavor was standard - Mac and cheese: basically cheese with a side of pasta, quite heavy, but satisfies any mac and cheese craving you have - Tater tots: good if you like tater tots Ambiance: - The theme is very thorough from the decor to the menus - Location is in downtown culver city, very walkable

I am excited to report back on my check in and recent lunch at this Public-School themed restaurant. 5 stars for creativity in the layout, design, and menu. My family felt so comfortable with the welcoming decor. At first we sat at a table in the patio. Then, in the corner, we spotted a circular booth with a mini sofa, and coffee table. It was available and absolutely perfect. The menu is printed on a "pee-chee" folder that i used in high school. The specialty cocktails have fun names, I opted for the "Final Exam." The portions were very generous. We ordered a chicken sandwich with avocado on a Chiabatta bread with seasoned fries, and a Chicken salad bowl. The service was top-notch, we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks to be refilled. -Brunch on Saturday & Sunday 11AM to 3PM. -Happy hour (or Recess time) is ALL DAY on Sunday-Wednesday; 3pm-6pm on Thursday-Saturday (Homework Time); and, Late Night (Time to Cram) 8pm to Closing EVERY DAY. -MENU HIGHLIGHTS: Avocado Toast Burgers Chicken Pesto Pasta Fish & Chips Salad Bowls (Chicken or Steak) Salmon Sliders Spaghetti and Meatballs Steak Pot Pie Veggie Flatbread -Sides: Artichoke Dip, Buffalo Cauliflower, Crab Cakes, Edamame with Hummus, Elote Bites, Mac & Cheese, Onion Rings, Sweet Potato Fries, Tater Tots, Truffle Fries, Wings *5 Star - Signature Cocktails, they have a full bar, some drink highlights are: Detention (Mezcal, Smoky Pineapple, Tajin); Final Exam (Gin Sour with Cucumber, Foam top); Grad Night (Aperol Spritz); Hall Pass (Blanco Tequila, Strawberry Guava and Lemon Juice); Hop Scotch (Vodka, Lemon Juice, Sparkling Wine, Spritz) Prom Night (Margarita with Jalapeno & Tajin); Spring Break (Hot Honey Martini); Teacher's Pet (Bee's Knees Martini); -Note: Gluten-Free, Vegan, Vegetarian options are available. Sincerely, Rosemary

For a pub, their food is pretty solid! Called to make reservations and was also able to do it easily on Opentable. I really like their all day happy hour options on discounted appetizers like hummus dips, pretzels, mini sliders, and fried cauliflower. It took a bit long to get our food, but our server was really nice and made sure to check up on us throughout our meal. The tables were sticky but what can you expect from a pub haha. Their hummus was alright with a side a pita bread and vegetables and their buffalo cauliflower was decent too. I liked the pretzel bun beer cheese burger with crispy pork belly, cheese, and a medium rare beef patty with a side of slightly crispy and salted fries. Pretty good! I saw they have a PB&J pork belly sandwich that has intrigued me deeply that I might be back for that...

Veggie bowl with salmon

Casual spot to grab a beer and some grub. Nothing too fancy about this restaurant, certainly wouldn't take someone here if I wanted to impress them. Just a casual chill spot. They have a decently sized beer menu, and I saw they have a happy hour from 4-6pm. I got their veggie bowl and added salmon (+$12). I was a little concerned I'd be making a mistake not getting something obvious like a burger at a casual joint like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. When the food came out, the presentation was really nice - colorful and the ingredients seemed fresh. The filet of salmon was also pretty decently sized. I liked it! The salmon wasn't cooked to perfection but my expectations can't be too high and at least it wasn't dry. I really loved all the ingredients together - the artichokes, arugula, avocado, red peppers, radish. There's a little bit of everything. It was a good healthy meal. Only thing that wasn't amazing about the bowl was the slices of pita that came with it, they were pretty tough. Somewhat pricey in the end since I added the protein, so it came out to $28 for the bowl. We also got some onion rings which were heavily battered and delicious. Service was pretty slow. The food came out quickly but several times I wondered where our waitress was (when we were ready to order, ready for check, etc).

Fried Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries

Public School 310 is SO good. We opened the menu and easily could've ordered 6 different things. It was so hard to pick! The play on words is a fun detail too. Their menus look like the black and white marble composition notebooks and the drinks were titled things like Hall Pass, Prom Night, etc. Also, we looked on Yelp for pictures and based off reviews, the star of the menu is their PB&J burger which sounds like an interesting combo, but our friend ended up ordering the burger flight to try a little of each burger, and she LOVED the pb&j burger. It was her favorite by a mile. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and it was cooked to perfection and I also love a good sauce. It came with a chipotle ranch along with lettuce tomato pickles and red onions and it was amazing (I held off on the onions but delish). The fries were great on the side too. Next time I'm in Culver City, you know where to find me!

Public School was too good! Good vibes, good music, cute decor. We came in during the last hour on NYE and am so glad we decided to close out the year here! I booked a reservation on Open Table and received a text notification when our table was ready, which was a few minutes earlier than our time . We were quickly seated and attended by the sweetest staff, Layne!!! All her recommendations HIT THE SPOT. We decided to branch out and try their Elote Bites appetizer and ‍ For cocktails, we had the Final Exam and Prom Night--both equally delicious. Food items ordered: beer batter fish and chips (Cajun style), PB&J burger, and fried chicken sandwich with Cajun fries. Layne recommended dipping the Cajun fries in their chipotle ranch and all I gotta say is: 10/10 no notes Thanks, guys! Looking forward to returning soon

Steak Salad

This is my second post about this restaurant. It is always a good time there. I had the sliders and the buffalo cauliflower during happy hour so I was able to get these at happy hour prices. The little sliders looks small, but I was surprisingly full when I finished them. I was too full to finish the cauliflower bites. This is a great casual restaurant where you can catch up with good friends.

Fried Chicken Bowl
Lauren A.

Warning: THE FRIED CHICKEN ON THE FRIED CHICKEN BOWL IS NOT YOUR GRANNY'S FRIED CHICKEN! This needs to be called tempura chicken because the consistency and COLOR were just off. The dish was just doing too much. It was like someone cleaned out their fridge at the end of the month. A Latino, Black, Asian fusion that is a miss. I didn't eat 90% of it. On top of this, I was not happy to be seated in the dog section. We wanted to sit outside and there was seating on the east portion of the outside seating, but my children (old enough to behave, 11,14), were sat at the end of a long table. We didn't notice all the dogs until a man with a wheelchair passed and the four dogs around us who had been tucked under tables, started barking at him then at each other. I looked at my kids and asked, "how did we get seated in the dog section? " The bacon cheese burger was over priced at $25, but my kids liked it. Wait staff was not attentive. Had to ask for a refill and search for waited to pay. Not a good experience tonight. I usually have a good evening there.

PB&J Burger and Spring Beet Salad
Hagar A.

This place has amazing happy hour menu for M-W all day!! It's very cute and nerdy set up inside. We tried their Pb & J burger and it was super delicious, such a fun twist with simple ingredients. The fries were super tasty with spiced up ketchup. The beet salad was so fresh and crispy. I usually don't get salads when I'm out but this was worth the try 100%. The staff was accommodating for walk in's with it appointments and gave us a table with no wait time. This place is definitely a come back to

Buffalo Cauliflower
Kristen C.

Nice casual spot in downtown culver. Came for lunch on a Wednesday and they had an all day happy hour deal. The place felt like we were back in elementary school with lots of nice touches like composition notebooks for menus etc. The Buffalo cauliflower was fantastic. The cauliflower is breaded but then the sauce is on the side so it stays crispy. Sliders were very tasty but a bit on the small side. We tried both the PB&J and smash burger sliders. Good selection of beer available and a few tv's throughout the indoor area. Our service was friendly and very quick with getting our food out.

The two next times I visited, things were decent. The last time I went was for the NFC Championship Game: Jan 25, 2026. I will never go back. We ordered wings and a burger. I was starving, so when the anorexic wings arrived (and the server walked away immediately), I ate a few wings, disregarding their sad appearance. I also ate half of the burger (which was fine). What wasn't fine... was the server's attitude and handling of the situation. I asked him if anyone had ever complained about the wings. His response: "No, people are usually pretty cool around here!" I guess I'm not 'cool,' which, ironically and interestingly, I am totally cool with! Of course, I didn't let it go, instead asking him to elaborate on his comment. He said, "what do you want? You want me to take them off the bill?" No... sorry. No... what can I do? No... wow those are skinny wings! I asked him if he was the owner (he had that kind of demeanor), and he said no. I asked if he was the manager, and he said no. I asked to speak with a manager, and he told me there wasn't one. His name is Tony. If I owned this place, I wouldn't keep him on the floor. I wouldn't even have him clean the toilets, though I think he believes he's entirely too important to be doing that job anyway. I'm sure he's right. We had tried PV House first, but there was no seating since it was such a big game. I recommend going there. Food isn't great, but the service always has been. My guess is that Gulp is frequented mostly by locals, which makes sense, but it won't last much longer with this crappy service. I've added images of the wings so you can see for yourselves.

She told us that we could be seated at the bar immediately, which is what we opted for. She placed us at a lower portion of the bar with two seats, which was perfect. The bartender, Justin took our drink and dinner order and I have to say, he makes amazing cocktails! We had egg rolls for an appetizer, which arrived very quickly and went well with our cocktails. I ordered a rye old-fashioned and my wife ordered a house creation, "Jesuit's Tea Party," which she enjoyed. For our entrees, I ordered Hainan Chicken and my wife had the Walnut Shrimp. Mine was really good, but I have to say I like the Walnut Shrimp better. They have their breading skills dialed in, so next time I think I'd go with something fried. All in all a great experience. Great vibe and everyone was very friendly and attentive.

For parties of 8 and larger, there is a minimum spend of $75 per person prior to tax & gratuity. No-show fee = $15 per person. [Experience]: The receptionist greeted our party just outside of the restaurant and checked us in. Outdoor tables were available, but our party opted for indoor seating. The lighting was dim with a romantic and casual dinner vibe. At the end of the meal, the staff offered our table hot towels to clean our hands. [Menu]: Menu highlights on Resy include Chinese BBQ Pork, XO Fatty Noodles, Walnut Shrimp. Other Yelp highlighted items include Orange Chicken, Beef Roll, and Hainan Chicken. Burger Tuesday is offered ONLY at the bar. A bowl of rice is an extra $4.00. The staff also gave our table a cute cocktail menu with drinks named after each LA neighborhood. *** Squid Ink Xiao Long Bao (shrimp and pork soup dumplings, fresh ginger - $18.00): Only came with 6 pieces of dumplings. The dough was a bit thick and the flavor was just alright. XO Fatty Noodles (rolled rice noodles, XO sauce, bean sprouts, garlic chives, fried shallots - $22.00): The noodles tasted slightly salty. I couldn't tell whether I had sliced pork belly or flat noodles in the dim lighting and it turned out to be thick slices of flat noodles. Orange Chicken (orange soy-based sauce, dried chilies, orange zest - $22.00): Super crispy orange chicken, but it was crunchy type of crispy and tasted a bit dry. Walnut Shrimp (mayo, candied walnuts, sesame seeds, red cabbage - $25.00): his dish came with lettuce and looked really nice. The flavor was solid and it tasted very healthy. *** Personally it was an overpriced experience for mediocre Asian fusion food. I would much rather visit Jade Rabbit in Santa Monica for cheaper and more delicious Asian fusion food or Din Tai Fung in Santa Monica for a more consistent dumpling and noodle experience. The only reason to come here is for the date-night vibe. Honestly, the food tasted more like Northern Chinese fusion cuisine than Taiwanese fusion cuisine.
