Went to Alibi Room for a friend's get-together. The vibe was ok, and Andre from security/patio was great--super friendly and helpful. That said, the drinks felt overpriced for what you get. At those prices, I'd probably go somewhere a lot nicer. Food was okay, just limited options and a little expensive for the quality and serving size. Service inside wasn't the best either--the female bartender inside came off pretty unfriendly, which kind of put a damper on things. She was rude to everyone. Just bad service overall - except of course when we were closing our tab, she smiled and invited to visit again! Super friendly then. Came here on a Saturday night to celebrate my sisters birthday. We parked on the street, which stopped being enforced on the meter on the weekend. So got a great parking spot. They don't have their own lot so just have to park wherever you can find it. We were greeted by the front to check our ids since it's 21+. We sat at a long reserved table outside. It was hot and then got cold but luckily there were heat lamps, so dress accordingly. You order at the bar inside and they'll make the drinks for you and if it's good, you get a number and they take it out to you. I suggest the kogi sliders or tacos with short rib. The loaded fries also looked delicious. I got two beers but they have ample selection of that and cocktails - the pink monkey was popular. All in all, a fun spot to hang out. The Alibi was a great place to meet up with friends for a tasty casual dinner. We sat outside and were greeted right away by our server. He was very attentive and friendly. Got our drinks and some fries to start us off. I was pleased with the selection of beers available. The dinner food was really good. I had a black jack quesadilla and ate every delicious bite. My wife had the koji tacos and sampled all three of the meat options. We also shared the tofu and citrus salad. Everything was delicious! My only minimal complaint was the seating not very comfortable. They had picnic tables with benches very low to the ground. One in our party was elderly and it was not very easy for them to sit there. I get that this place is geared towards young, hip people but the food and drinks were so very good. Came here twice during our trip and both times we had a great time! If you're looking for more of a casual vibe or have a bigger group, I definitely recommend sitting outside. It's great that you can order inside and they will deliver to your table. Makes it easier for separate checks. Even though it was chilly, they had space heaters everywhere. My Google maps indicated that the last time I was here was eight years ago. I used to come here fairly frequently with friends to enjoy Kogi tacos, fries (which aren't available at the food trucks), and drinks. I believe I've enjoyed some of the tacos as they've traditionally had a presence at Coachella. I'm glad to say that the quality hasn't deviated from what I've experienced. Since Covid, they have converted the parking lot to an outside patio. I met three college buddies here to catch up, and this is what we ordered. The fries are enough to share for a group of two or more. Our server very frequently made sure we were okay and asked if we wanted to order extra, so that attention is greatly appreciated. I'm really glad they added an outside patio since we used to have to yell at each other to have a conversation since the music inside could get loud. Enjoy the night weather and grub. If you've never have tried kogi style food (Mexican and Korean fusion), you have to try it at least once. It's great to share a meal, drink, and have good conversation. Cheers! read more

I have been coming to Alibi Room for a couple years, and it's such a great place to gather with friends! We usually sit outside on the patio with heaters since it's fairly cramped and dark inside.  The food from the Kogi truck is very reliable and tasty. I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point. The 3 Taco Combo is the best place to start to really taste the flavors of the korean barbecue meats. But the Pacman Burrito/Bowl/Quesadillas are all great to mix them together. The Kimcheese fries are perfect to share with a group, but you'll want to eat them fast! I recently tried the hot dog too which was a pleasant surprise. They might not always have it on the menu, but I think whatever you can try is worth it! The cocktails are kind of hit or miss, but the draft list and other beer/seltzer/kombucha offerings are great.  I mostly wanted to write this review to give a huge shoutout to Dan!! He's the best server and always goes above and beyond to take care of us. No matter how large the group or how weird the request, he's ready to help and makes Alibi Room the welcoming environment it is. read more

Went here with a group of friends for an after work drinks and food for one of their birthdays. This is one of the chilliest bar/lounge you can go to . They have outdoor seating and you can order at the table rather than go to the bar to order your foods and drinks I had the Korean loaded fries and another one of my friends just got regular fries, chicken wings, and tofu tacos. All was pretty good and well made. The service was quick and very nice and kind to us while we sat at our table talking about whatever lol . We did not intend to come here - we wanted to go to the holiday pop-up bar, but they were closed. I think that many others were in the same situation as us and wandered over here because it was packed! They have a very large patio with plenty of seats and long picnic tables, but it was cold, so we wanted to eat inside. Inside area is much smaller and definitely has a lounge vibe. There are a few tables, but they are more like couches with low tables than restaurant tables that comfortably accommodate eating, and some bar seating. The bar is oddly shaped, making walking around rather awkward, difficult to navigate, and crowded. Although we managed to snag a spot at the bar quite easily, it was difficult to get the bartenders' attention so we could place our order. Seems like there were only 2 bartenders in charge of taking food and drink orders for both inside and outside!? They have a lot of cocktail options, including some holiday-esque cocktails. Very few beer options. My cocktail was fine. Not particularly memorable. Their kitchen serves kogi truck/taqueria menu. We ordered the korean fries and the three tacos. The sauce and flavoring is good, but I think that the shortribs were a bit underwhelming and overcooked. Spicy pork was my favorite of the meats. I came here for food while my husband had food and drinks. Sweet chili chicken quesadilla - I liked this a lot. It was such a unique flavor fusion to it. Chef Roy Choi has done it again. He has created an incredible restaurant that serves some of the best Korean-Mexican food you'll ever have. Pro-tip: come here instead of going to one of his food trucks. The reason is, this place serves the EXACT same items as the food trucks (plus more) with no wait! Food trucks easily take 45 minutes to an hour, but you can be seated and eating here in 15 minutes! I'm so glad my friend showed me this place otherwise I would've missed out on an incredible experience. We both each got a chicken bowl. This bowl has jasmine rice and a fried egg as well as some sweet, spicy, and tangy Asian sauces. It was so good and fresh, and the rice was a little crispy which gives it such a good texture. We also got their pork quesadilla. This is the best quesadilla I've ever had hands down. The cheese was fresh and not packaged. It was so creamy and chewy, and paired with the perfectly marinated and cooked pork as well as the super crispy tortilla, it was incredible. They even put a tangy green sauce all over the top that adds a little zing. We last had to get their French fries. Potentially best fries ever. I haven't had fries as crispy as these. The crispness as well as the Asian inspired seasoning was unforgettable. They even give a ketchup/sriracha sauce to go with it. Overall, super easy 5/5 to give. This blew my mind away! I love that I no longer have to hunt down the Kogi truck and get to enjoy one of my favorite patios in LA. Alibi Room has that really chill vibe that really makes living in LA so much more enjoyable. There's plenty of seating and never a wait. It's the perfect spot for catching up with friends or a casual date. Food - I've loved everything I've ordered here. The fact that tacos are basically $3 is a great deal for a sit down. They're not the best tacos, but pretty damn good. Just wish it was lighter on the sauce but still great. Service - I've never had an issue here. They're very attentive and checked on us multiple times. Very friendly and can't asked for much more. Parking - It can be a bit of a pain.
