I'm glad this place is local and not completely popularized yet in the mainstream media. It's a lumberjack theme bar with a cozy log cabin atmosphere with animal heads, frontier style photos, and collections of curios including plastered footprint of Bigfoot. I got the 'Killer Bees' happy hour cocktail the bartender was nice enough to make in front of me. Tastes like a margarita with honey. Not bad. The coolest thing is the giant totem pole in my opinion. Came here with a good friend I hadn't seen in awhile and it was the perfect spot to tuck away in a corner and have an intense catch-up chat about life while drinking some excellent peanut butter whisky. But there was also a very lively and social bar. They have great house drinks and the bartender can make whatever you want. The vibes were right in this funky tavern! The staff were great and there's an awesome selfie mirror (essentially a hi-tech photo booth). Drinks were varied and similar prices to other bars in the area. We didn't try them but they have a slider stand outside that you can eat at your table. We'll be back! read more

Been going to this bar for a while and tonight went for a quick drink. Bartender forgot to give me my card back after i closed it and I didn't realize it. Went before they were supposed to be "closed" to get my card back and instantly the door man was aggressive with me and tried to fight me after I called him out on how he was acting. Saying he was going to "step outside". Very unprofessional behavior and most likely never going back here read more

We visited Bigfoot West this past Saturday night. Great setting with a nice ambience, very inviting, some bigfoot decor, animal props and animal heads on display, a woodsy interior, dim reddish lighting throughout. The place was quite busy nearing midnight, and the crowd was awesome, lots of friendly people, plenty of smiles and conversation, guests enjoying the music. As did I, with 80's house and pop filling the space with good vibes! The bartenders were super friendly and attentive as well. To drink, I enjoyed the Kook of the Day, a strong cucumber flavor mixed well with the limeade. I really liked this spot, overall. Nice neighborhood bar feel, and positive energy throughout the venue. Bigfoot West is a great cozy local bar near Palms & Culver City. There is tons of seating available inside around a center bar and an outdoor area in the front patio. On Saturday nights, there's a dj and it gets pretty crowded after 9 pm. On Tuesday nights there is trivia, which is one of my favorite trivias in the area! Just get there a bit early to grab a table and sign up. The cocktails are reasonably priced and high quality. They don't serve food but you can grab food nearby and bring it inside read more

Got happy hour cocktails here, cocktails were very very small but quite strong. For $7 it's not terrible but nothing special either. There's no food at this place which was a bit sad. Ambiance was ok, the cottage vibe isn't really my jam but could be a crowd pleaser for others. I have no complaints about this bar. Prices are reasonable (especially at happy hour), the ambiance is kind of like a tiki bar (although it is a temporary theme and it seems like they have certain days where there are certain themes). I came with friends on a day they were playing country music so I mistakenly thought it was a country bar but that is not the case. The service was good but I can't speak for busier days, it was pretty quiet when we went. And they don't serve food, so I can't comment on that. I will always have a fondness for Bigfoot West for personal reasons, given some of the wonderful memories that this place evokes. While the people that I associate with this bar have come and gone, this place remains one of my key happy hour joints if I'm in the neighborhood. Let me get more specific: why does Bigfoot West rock? First, they offer happy hour 7-days a week, and that gives them +100 points off the bat. I often get their Old Fashioned, and it's solid (and more importantly, relatively cheap). There's a casual and rustic vibe to the place that makes it great for a first date or a friendly meetup, and I've usually had good street parking karma on weekdays. I will often find a way to stop by if I'm passing through Mar Vista or Culver City, and Bigfoot West has not disappointed me yet! read more

This was my go-to date spot for a number of years living in the area. It's a mix of lumberjack-hipster and a laid-back atmosphere. On a Tuesday it's pretty much full of young people on first dates. Good drinks with quirky names you'd expect out of a place like this, and they make them pretty strong, too. Finally got to see what all the fuss was about on Friday night. Place was packed at 9p. Fortunately we found seats at the bar. The bartenders were on it! It didn't seem like anyone waited too long to place their order. Our first bartender was a male. He poured a fantastic Forest Ranger. The next drink was poured by a female and I'm sad to say it didn't compare. My second drink was way too sugary. Good thing our friend who is a bartender asked for a shot of lime and that fixed it quickly! I must add that the ladies restroom was always clean and well stocked! Thank you!!!! Possibly better than SF's Bigfoot (RIP), but a much more spacious layout. However, it does lack some of the grit that makes the SF version so fun and kickback. Drinks were fine, vibe is a little too westside LA for me, but I'm more of an eastside gal myself. All-in-all a pretty standard spot, fun interior design like walking into a log cabin, and decent drinks. I would recommend. read more

As for the food, my boss ordered appetizers for the table, which were shrimp tacos, flautas, and empanadas which were all very good! My favorite were the flautas with guac. For my main dish I went with the Chilean sea bass with a side of broccolini and rice. That sea bass was phenomenal! It had a nice sweet glaze on it with a very slit crisp texture on the top. One of the best! The Hideaway goes down as one of my favorite spots in Beverly Hills and I highly recommend checking it out. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros
