I have always loved this place and loved bringing family from out of town. Sadly this time my mother had a very unpleasant experience. the bartender with glasses was quite rude to her while she was ordering her drink. She asked to try two different beers since she has never been to oregon and doesn't know what she likes. When she asked for a third try to be sure, the bartender snarlingly said "there is a two sample maximum and there is a line behind you". After that she said she didn't like the last sample and then he decided to say "then you should just a corona". Maybe i'm being a little overdramatic, but this is not something i would ever expect from public house especially since they have always been super welcoming and nice. Sadly this was my mom's first experience in eugene and left an unsavory feeling towards getting food while out in the town. I enjoy public house, their drinks are fantastic, but hope that the service from this bartender changes so people can love it like i do. read more

DO NOT EAT AT PIZZA CUE. It's horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE. Tried it twice. The best thing about it is the nice lady at the register. The most pathetic $33 dinner we have ever had. Just don't do it. Otherwise, Tonali is amazing. The kombucha is amazing. Atmosphere amazing! read more

I love this new addition to Springfield! Great inside and out!

Drinks were good, but that's it. If you want food, I suggest ANYWHERE else! I got the "corn dog and fries," and my wife got the "chicken strip basket." Now, you would think for $12 for a corn dog it would be hand dipped and bigger than your 7/11 corn dog. Nope!! It was a basic FROZEN corn dog with some ketchup, and some frozen "steak fries." No mustard even available?! The wife's chicken strips were $15, and were mediocre frozen chicken strips. 7/11 and your local grocery store deli have FAR BETTER corn dogs and chicken strips, respectively. A food cart in my town sells REAL HAND BREADED, fresh to order chicken strips for $15. I also ordered some chorizo cheese "sauce" from a different spot, but it wasn't sauce at all. It was just chorizo in a bunch of baked cheese?! Come on people!!! I assume the only way this place is still open is because of their drinks, absolutely not because of any of the poor quality food they serve. So after this horrible experience, the wife and I went to The Paddock in Eugene where the food is always good! Needless to say, what shoulda been about a $50 outing, turned into $100+ since we had to go to 2 spots just to fill our bellies. I will NEVER go back to this horrific establishment, not even on someone else's dime! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! read more

This place is like a giant food court inside a church. Very strange set up and no way of knowing how to order you kind of just have to wing it. Not very impressed with their food selection. It's definitely an experience to visit when in SPringfield but wouldn't go there for a date night or anything read more

Met up with a few friends on a Friday night for beers, all of our first times at Public House. Super cool spot! There are several different areas --main beer hall (that's the part with the cool stained glass windows), a patio like area that is dog-friendly (win!), and apparently a whiskey bar as well, which we didn't check out this time. Overall, the vibe at Public House is great. Laid-back and relaxing, even on a bustling weekend night, with a mix of smaller tables/booths and long communal tables. I also read that they have live music every Wednesday night starting at 7pm. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy any food here, though several different restaurants serve out of the same open kitchen adjacent to the patio, so it seems like there are enough options to please any one in a group. I'm glad we decided to hop across I-5 from Eugene to check this place out. We'll be back! read more

The new public house has brought even more life to downtown Springfield! This is the perfect place to share drinks with friends, enjoy scenic indoor and outdoor seating, and have a killer meal from a local food pod. Public house has a beer hall with rotating beer taps, wine, ciders, and kombucha, and a whiskey lab with cocktails. Food includes Latin, BBQ, German, a bakery, and EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH. I mean, seriously, what more do you need?? Truly, something for everyone. Public house has really gone out of their way to make this space an inviting spot to gather with cozy booths, cute courtyards and outdoor seating, live music, and other fun events going on. I definitely see many date nights, after work drinks, and friend gatherings at the Public House in my future! read more

Our aunt and uncle brought us here for dinner when we were in town visiting and it was the coolest place! They ordered the fish and chips and the waffle fries were some of the best I've had! My husband and I got the butter chicken from the food truck and it was amazing. Super fast service for both of our orders, reasonably priced, and the space is really cool. There are lots of options: indoor, outdoor, tented. A fun place to visit! read more

We had a great time tonight! BOH manager Josh was amazing and did a great job helping with out table! Super helpful, great drinks from the whiskey lab and awesome food! Thank you Josh for your help and your kindness! read more

Fun place, lots of eateries to choose from. Then get your beer, there's a lot to choose from, don't get overwhelmed. Have a taste to narrow the selection down. Plenty of seating, my favorite was inside with cathedral ceilings & stained glass. Really great, very casual as it's not a full service place. The atmosphere makes up for that! read more

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, great drinks and selection! We love coming here! It has become a go-to place for us to hang out with our friends. read more

Love this family friendly place. The outdoor patios are great, if you have kids that want to run around. The food trucks are all delicious and they have alot of beer and ciders on tap! read more

Was a very bland experience, hipster overload as well. Neat concept, but the food was bland and mediocre. Do not believe all these 5 star hype ratings. Smoked cheese cake ? Nasty. Bakery cheese cake? Bland no flavor. Eugene made grapefruit squirt? Nasty and over priced, as is everything in the hipster bar. Not good enough. read more

I went for a early Mardi Gras celebration and the place was packed with a diverse and welcoming crowd. Great music and a ton of food choices, including Mardi Gras specials. Only but was it was a bit of a long wait from when we ordered to when our food was ready. We weren't in a hurry and enjoyed drinks and the band while waiting. As good as the band was, you really couldn't have a conversation and expect to hear the person sitting across from you. Still a pretty great time and meal. read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but felt like this would be helpful. I've never been here before, the ambiance is promising. It's an old church converted into multiple food options. Here's the bottom line: Moi Poki was terrible service, although the food came out great. NW Burger was decent service, but the food was terrible. It was 8:30pm on the dot on a Wednesday night and they wouldn't serve me a burger since they stop serving that menu at 8:30pm. So, I got the fish and chips. The server was nice, but the food came out looking terribly ho-hum considering it was $20+ for fish and chips. I was not impressed. My gf ordered poki next door at Moi Poki. The emo girl that took her order could have cared less that she was there taking orders. My gf is celiac and asked her recommendations for GF options. She responded with "oh, i don't eat raw fish." Great, thanks for nothing. She then went on to mess up the order and it never went back to the cooks. So, a half an hour later - after I'd already eaten my meal and had a drink - we went back up to her and asked her what the hold up was. She went to the back to see and came back and said "Oh, it must not have printed out, I'm sorry." No refund, no offer to make it right. A whole half hour had gone by! And there was no one in there. Disappointed and not impressed. The server at the Whiskey Lab was very nice and helpful when we got drinks in there. Hope this helps and you have a better experience! read more

We love PublicHouse! This is one of the only places we've been out to eat at since covid 19 closures- we really love the ample outdoor seating, ability to order from our table and food options available. read more

Such a great addition to downtown Springfield! We only had time to grab a drink, but were so impressed with the amount of options packed into one place. There's lots of outdoor seating, and it looks like a decent amount of indoor for when it gets colder outside. Skip on the pizza from Pizza Cue if you're dining for 1. It's $14 for a personal pizza that's the size of a small plate. The pizza is decent, crust is good, and if you like a lot of cheese then you'll like it (I don't), but the personal size is a complete rip off given the price. read more

I love the Beer Garden, it's my all-time favorite spot in Eugene. Public House is owned by the same people. I live in Springfield, so it's within walking distance from my house. The renovated church is amazing. The outdoor seating is outstanding. The Whiskey Lab by far the best cocktail spot in Lane County. So much to love... except the food. They used to have to a BBQ place that was really great, but it's gone now. At this point I eat at Planktown and then just walk over. If they could revamp all the food places, maybe find a way to get Zingaro in there, it would get the 5 stars it deserves. read more

First time here enjoying this great place! What a great addition to Springfield!!! Just what this town and surrounding area needed. Kudos

I was at the attic bar upstairs and it was clearing out a bit. and suddenly the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. when the bartender finally came back to the bar and I asked him what the music was so insanely loud and he said "cuz I like it" and I said "it sucks" and he said "I don't care." and then I told his manager and he said he would talk to the bartender but it was very clear that he didn't care either. Won't be back to this place. obviously customer service is far less important than the bartender having a good time. read more

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, reasonable prices. I love visiting Public House!!

Not family friendly. Another family and my family were asked to leave because our toddlers were doing what toddlers do and running in the grass a bit. They were supervised by us by the smoker and the waitress was outraged, she even used the f word when talking to us. Apparently she is also the manager, which was very surprising since she is extremely rude when talking to customers and obviously does not have kids (asked her and she does not). Food is fine but I give the service negative 5 stars for being rude to my family and ruining our Father's Day. Word of advise for this restaurant: find a new manager. read more

What a cool spot! Lots of eateries to choose from. Go order what you'd like, take your number, and have a seat. Perfect for those times when no one can agree on a type of food for dinner. One wants Mexican, one wants BBQ, you know what I'm saying. This place has you all covered, vegan and vegetarians too. Solid tap menu and a whisky bar too. While it was busy on the Friday night we went, we were able to find a seat after a brief roam around the place. And thumbs up for the acoustics in this old church. No echo. I could hear everything my friends were saying from across the table. It's no fun to meet up with friends just to sit there and ask each other to repeat themselves over and over again. I will definitely be back. I bet it's superb in the summertime! read more

A group of 9 went for lunch yesterday. We discovered we were still required to use the very hard to use app ordering system. Of the 4 seniors in the group none of us would have been able to order. Luckily one of the younger members of the group figured it out. None of the older people will return until the app ordering system is removed. On top of that the wait person from the pizza business was rude. When our pizza came we said we were going to need forks and plates and she informed us "I can only carry so much!" Never did get our forks. read more

One of the best environments in town. Local businesses, amazing products. Really can't go wrong here. (Be sure to check out 100 mile bakery)

Old church turned into German, Latin, hawaiian food plus a bakery and a catering service. Basically 5 restaurants in one kickin' place. Oh plus a beer/cider hall which is good size. I've ate at all the places and the food is great. I haven't had one bad experience here. Outdoor seating out back and in front. The outdoor seating in front is covered with heating. Back area is closed during the winter I believe. Oh how can I forgot about the whiskey lab great cocktails and whiskey. If your not into beers and ciders then it's perfect for the whiskey enthuses. read more

Unfortunately really poor service. Rude and disinterested staff. A shake because they are in a beautiful setting.

Pig and Turnip is some of the best food I've tasted in Eugene/Springfield! I felt absolutely intoxicated after lunch and I didn't even have any alcohol. My husband and I split the Bavarian Pretzel with Fondue. That's a lot of bang for your buck, right there! Delish!!! We also split the Rueben and the Doner Kebab between the two of us. All three things together was WAY too much food and we knew none of it would "keep" for leftovers so we just kept eating. YOU KNOW HOW IT IS!!! ....get me a bucket.... The Rueben was nothing special to look at but it was probably the best Rueben I've ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The Doner Kebab with lamb was absolutely astounding. Messy, so you can't put it down..... The only reason for a 4 rating and not a 5 was that the sides weren't that great. But, I have to say, they were probably very authentic tasting. We just couldn't get into them. We had the German Potato Salad and the Braised Cabbage. If, er, WHEN we return, I'm going to get the sauerkraut as a side because it was SO good on the Rueben. The young lady behind the counter was wonderful, giving us samples and helping us to decide on what to get. All in all, a VERY positive experience! Plus, when you check in on Yelp while there, you get $2.00 off your next order. We'll be back!!! YUM! read more

The pizza took 35 minutes and it was mostly still dough. Not edible. Very rude dude behind the counter. 40 minutes for a cooked pie would have been a good idea. read more

Great atmosphere and food. Exactly what Springfield is lacking! Loved the option for our group to order food from three different places. There was something everyone wanted. I had the sliders from the bbq place and my husband had the schnitzel sandwich from the German place. Both were great! We're excited to go back and try the Mexican food and cookie dough place. Seating was a little tough to find, but what can you expect on a busy Friday night. We were able to track down a high chair as well. read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday, got the club with avocado and was REALLY impressed. Good service, good drinks, very good food.

This is one of my favorite places in the Eugene/Springfield area. The building in and of itself is awesome, it is in an old church and there are some wonderful odes to the original purpose of the building. There's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating with dogs allowed on the patio (in the winter they tent it and bring heaters in, so you can still enjoy a meal out with your pup!). There's a great assortment of permanent food carts in addition to a large bar and a whiskey house. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Given it's in an old church though, why they didn't call it something like "first communion" or just plain old "church", and call the whiskey bar the "the confessional" is beyond me, those names seem perfect read more
