I love this place! A hidden gem on Seneca Street. Stopped in here after being downtown cuz we wanted to to just find a place to chill. I got a London Fog, which was not in the menu. It was fine, not the best I've had, but one of the servers noticed I wasn't drinking and offered to make me a new different one which I thought was really nice. I sat on the couch and read my book for a while. There were a lot of all male staff, the restaurant is set up with a coffee bar, smaller tables along window and a couch. The decor is great, the floor is nice, and bar was great. I really has a great setup and atmosphere. There were a lot of staff for the amount of people at the restaurant. I didn't look much at the menu. The homemade looking donuts in the display case looked amazing and I wish I was hungry when I was there. It seems that they have quite a few things that they offer, but aren't on the menu. I think they should add everything they serve on to the menu. I'll definitely stop back in. read more

Great little joint. Food, coffee and atmosphere are all great. Love having a place like this in South Buffalo, you don't have to go downtown for a classy cup of coffee. Big southwest facing windows help keep it bright. read more

Public Espresso - so big, worth the money - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Buffalo, New York

This was our first time at Public Espresso's newest location in the Shea's Seneca building. Despite only being open a couple weeks, the space is nicely decorated, the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. My chai latte was the perfect temperature and flavor. My wife commented that she really liked the house Koffi and my son was satisfied with the "chocolatiness" of his chocolate milk. We share two donuts and a coffee cake. All three were fresh and had great flavor. The atmosphere was great, so we hung around a little bit longer finishing up. read more

Public Espresso - Brewed coffee, chocolate chocolate donut, chocolate peanut donut and crumb cake - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Buffalo, New York

I truly love this location because it's close to work. I know my co-workers and I are deeply disappointed with the hours now. We wish we could order breakfast and get coffee as we used to in the past. The vlads were so delicious! Seriously, no other breakfast sandwich was like it. The new hours may be a reflection now bc of the new menu or the COVID restrictions perhaps...either way it's disappointing. And the weekend hours begin at 10 AM... breakfast is pretty much over. read more

cute and artsy place, and the lattes were very pretty but unfortunately didn't taste that good. I also ordered some pastries but they didn't have the ability to toast them which i found odd, because a warm pastry makes all the difference! read more

Public Espresso - mocha, and some pastries -- just ok - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Buffalo, New York

Deeee-Lish!! I showed up for a hand crafted bagel (I showed up too late) but tried the cruller And butter croissant. Ohhhh my goodness but that cruller was good!! A nice little fried crust and yummy, eggy goodness on the inside. The croissant was buttery and flaky and... get yourself up and out to try these and some of their other tasty looking treats. read more

Such a rip off. They charged me $13 for half a breakfast sandwich and said they don't control the menu so that's just the way it is. Never again. read more

Had a delicious new to me Tanzania pour over a couple weeks back. So so good! I hadn't yet tried the cinnamon bun so I purchased one to share; highly recommend with a pour over. So delicious and fresh. Every pastry, english muffins, among many other items are made from scratch. The space is cool, comfortable and welcoming. They always seem to be working to improve not only the space but the business and service. You can even order online and pick up to go. What are you waiting for? read more

Really good coffee, plenty of space, good music, and pleasant service. It closes a little early. But I'm so glad that South Buffalo has such a good coffee shop. read more

Super friendly staff! When the barista saw me come in with my backpack, she told me what corner to go in to that had an outlet and wouldn't be as obtrusive. It sounds little, but I really appreciated her advice! I had the chai latte that was really good and had a cute design. The avocado on my toast was a little underripe, but the toast itself was delicious. Would definitely come here again to do work and get coffee, might stick to one of their delicious bagels! read more

amazing good food great staff the ambiance is so cool as well with all the different poster art of classic movies

Had the sweet potato hash and it was good. Coffee is always great and neat decor. Definitely recommend the donuts!

Definitely a top 5 coffee shop in Buffalo. Food is good, coffee is good and the donuts are GREAT! In my opinion the best and most creative donuts in Buffalo. Coffee is definitely elevated compared to an average cup. The only downside is that everything is a bit overpriced. read more

This is one of my family's favorite places to go in South Buffalo. They did a great job of striking a vibe that's both sophisticated for adults but kid-friendly, in my opinion. Bright colors, great natural light, the staff is always really wonderful. We walk here after playing in Cazenovia Park (my kids are five and seven). My daughter had sprained her wrist one evening, and they gave us ice for her. I've always felt like my children were genuinely welcomed there. Coffee is great, their hot chocolate is fantastic, and their donuts are my favorite in Buffalo. Texture is wonderful, flavors are on point, and they aren't too sweet! It's not that they aren't sweet (let's not get carried away now), but the balance is perfect. They had a gingerbread mini bundt cake that was one of my most favorite baked goods in the city. We tried their hamburgers one evening because we were curious about how a coffee shop does hamburgers and I was honestly pleasantly surprised - they were really good! I love it there. I'm so glad they are in the neighborhood. read more

This is one of the best breakfast and coffee spots in the city. Staff is great and all the food is scratch made. Breakfast will not disappoint along their coffee drinks this is our go to weekend spot. Pastries change and weekly basis so we have tried it all! read more

Great coffee, food, and ambience! Stopped in to break up a long road trip, and was pleasantly surprised to find Public Espresso. Every neighborhood needs a coffee shop like this. read more

Best doughnut flavors! They're unique, delicious, and light! I love all their coffees and lattes, their bagels and cream cheese's are the best I've found in Buffalo, too. Atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, also bold and fun! The employees are great at what they do and always very kind. Favorite place to pop in, especially on a good day to make it even better! read more

So....the girlfriend and I went to the newest breakfast/lunch/dinner cafe with high expectations. There aren't many sit down diners on that stretch of Seneca Street, so you would need to try very hard to fail at this endeavor, right?! Well, they tried VERY hard and failed...BIG!! When we went in, the order is taken at the counter, then you sit down and they bring the food to you....JUST LIKE McDONALD's, except McD's doesn't extort a tip from you! Had we known all the "waiter" would do is to drop off the food, with no follow up whatsoever, we would have selected the modify your tip button and selected ZERO! I am ALL about tipping my server (usually 25% and up), but when the establishment is nothing more than a glorified McD's, I do t feel that a tip is warranted. I'm not sure what niche' this establishment is trying, unsuccessfully, to emulate, whether it be SPOT Coffee, Starbuck's etc, but they are badly missing their intended mark. The staff attire can be described as a grunge look, not the kind of attire that screams or insinuates cleanliness. I'll give most places a second chance if there is hope, but this place doesn't appear to have any hope. I'll give it until mid winter when everyone, like me, has stopped in once to try the new place and is not a repeat customer. I would NOT recommend this restaurant, unless of course I didn't like you ;-) read more

So happy with what is happening in the Seneca Shea's complex!! We came in here today for a late leisurely breakfast and left smiling. Upon entering was greeted with a friendly smile and zero pressure to order quickly whilst perusing their menu board. Having never been to this location, nor their flagship downtown, we had had some questions, which were met with nothing but smiles and the enthusiasm only obtained by an employee who wholeheartedly stands behind the product they serve! Wanting to embrace the full experience, we ordered a bit of it all. We ordered a medium caramel macchiato, berry hibiscus iced tea, honey cruller doughnut, a ham sandwich, and avocado toast with bacon and eggs. Everything came out speedily, and yummy! Yes we spent $38 before tip, but the quality of the product we received and the enjoyment of the experience in its entirety was money well spent! The entire time we were there we could not help but discuss what we were going to try the next time, and can't wait to go back!! read more

Got coffee, apple juice, 2 bagels with lox and hash on the side. Hash was undercooked. House coffee was really disappointing. Bagels and lox were not that good. No capers, salmon served cold, bagels toasted? I can't even tell if they are or not like they were gently flashed with a warm breeze over the oven. No real hash. Disappointing. Next time I'll pass on the faux gourmet. If I'm going to pay starbucks prices, I expect starbucks level quality. read more

Great location, food was good. I was disappointed in customer service. The man taking out order seemed very inconvenienced by us. He didn't greet us and was not friendly. He input our order incorrectly and was not apologetic about it. It was incredibly off putting. Food was a very long wait. I wanted to love this place because so happy to have it in my neighborhood now but they still need to work out some kinks. Focusing on just being welcoming and cozy to the public is something I hope to see improvement on. read more

terrible. sausage was dried out and burnt. chorizo bowl was not cooked as described. no feta cheese. no avocado sauce. asked for it to be remade, and the second attempt was just as bad. cook was not wearing mask properly the entire time we were there (over an hour). WILL NOT GO BACK! don't waste your money. plenty of other amazing cafes in WNY. read more

I had really high hopes for this super cool looking place in my neighborhood. We walked in not overly busy which was great it's brand new thought it be packed. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches (little pricey but maybe it's worth it) apple pie doughnut and coffee. I asked for an 8oz coffee and my boyfriend a 12oz but after telling them we would dine in they told us they would just give us mugs (no clue what that meant wasn't on menu) ready for my first cup of coffee of the day it was maybe 4-6oz small mug wasn't even full all the way (but hey maybe it's free refills) it wasn't charged another 2 bucks if wanting a refill. On to the doughnut it was ok not as moist as I would think. We sat at the bar style counter they have setup which was nicely decorated. Enjoyed watching them Brew coffee and tea. Now time for my pricey breakfast sandwich yummy :( not so much English muffin super dry no butter but had a small amount of mustard sauce on it no cheese but egg was cooked perfectly it also came out fast. My boyfriend felt same way on his sandwich needed more coffee to wash it down but couldn't because I wasnt paying another 2 bucks. I left needing coffee and a snack. read more
