After several attempts at a nice meal at this joke of a restaurant, I've given up on them and will not be back. There has been an issue every time we've gone. I've brought up my concerns with the manager every time. Within the first month of being open, the food/bev prices had changed at least twice. They argued their beer prices listed on their specials list on the website with us. They can't afford to get someone to fix their outdated (yes, within the first month) website. It took them 5 tries to get their in store menus correct. They have changed the size of their "Jumbo" wings to what I can only imagine are the wings of newly hatched chickens. Lots of fat, little meat. They got rid of the pretzel buns for their burgers without telling anybody before we ordered (trivial, but it was why we ordered them) They offer iced tea, but do not brew their own. I am a diabetic and do not like soda or drinking water with food. The manager admitted to me that he drank it all the day of that particular visit. Negative points. My wife ordered boneless wings (for $7.99) and got 6 of the smallest excuses for boneless wings I've ever seen. We have a picture, showing the size and how the plate was more carrots and celery than chicken. The manager supposedly told the waitress to go ahead and give us more, but that's a poor business model. I'd simply keep complaining about everything until I get more? Why isn't the portion just a reasonable size to begin with? And the manager never came to our table to talk with us or apologize for the embarrassment his restaurant is. The servers are always different. It feels like a revolving door of employees. I'm really easy to please and have been more than willing to keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt multiple times but enough is enough. And lastly, don't get me started on the God awful yellow lighting. If 0 stars was an option... read more

Popping bar for a Wednesday night! Lots of people there eating, drinking and watching sports! The food is typical pub fare and they have a ginormous menu. The classic wings were delicious (recommend BBQ and Mango Habanero), the honey bourbon chicken was good but pretty average. They have great weekday deals, a glass of wine was $4.50. Definitely recommend if looking for a casual, cheap but yummy dinner! read more

Went in tonight with a friend- another good experience ! The food & drinks were good- Shout out to the waitress Angel- she was not even our waitress and gave us the wine specials for tonight , She also gave us an updated menu and made us a great drink. I think it is great that she went above and beyond to go to other tables that she was not serving to make the experience an even more pleasant one & this will keep us going back! read more

The first time my wife and I went here, we ordered the beer battered fish and chips. After eating it, we didn't feel too good and called to voice our concerns. They were apologetic and gracious by offering us a $25.00 credit towards our next order with them. We ordered the chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was delicious! We've been back multiple time since then and swear every time that we're going to order something else, but can't tear ourselves away from that dish. Should the owner read this, we'll try to order something different next time! Great food, location and service! read more

Went for a family birthday dinner, the place is really dark, had a hard time seeing the menu, there wasn't a light near us so we got a dark corner. The food was good, I had the Pub 56 burger, could've added more bbq since it's basically a bbq burger, but it was a good size burger. Not entirely impressed, though for my first time. read more

I like this place! Really good food. Really good service. Very reasonable prices along with daily food and drink specials. We got the shrimp with two different sauces, ahi tuna and a Reuben. All were fresh, flavorful, great presentation and tasty. I'll be going back! read more

First time visit last weekend. Tried the smoked meat trio. I'm a big ribs fan and these were some of the best ribs I've had. The brisket and pulled pork were very good as well. And the portion size for the price was very nice as well. Also a great beer list. read more

Not a pub feel at all. A little to clean and slightly fancy. I usually find comfort in the places where you can smell the urinal cakes when you walk in the door and get a cold flat domestic. But this place was pretty delish and smelled great walking in the door. Great tap lineup for brews and BBQ BRISKET PIZZA WHAAAAAAAAT?! read more

I had their drunken fish and chips. Fries were fresh, crispy, and tasty. Not greasy or soggy at all! The fish and chips were fried well, but I'm guessing that the fish sat in the freezer too long. Texture was non-existent, more like mush. I did not eat but a few bites from each of the three pieces. Wifey's steak salad was acceptable, and waitress brought me a grilled cheese (safe bet) as a replacement. read more

Always the best Burgers! We've been going to pub 56 for a couple years now. It has the best food in the neighborhood and was always just okay service. Until we had Nicole! She was very attentive. She was always checking in on us and she was very friendly. Ask for Nicole to wait your table. Also if you're in the mood for bbq, it is legit here. Try the brisket! read more

Thanks Pub 56 the pizza was Half price on Wednesday's and also the drinks. We had a group of 6 the Waitress was quick to take out order and pleasant to deal with and the food was delivered hot I will be back for the shrimp and the better fish read more

Nice, sport/pub atmosphere. Plenty of room between tables. That's important to me. I hate being in a restaurant and feeling crowded. We received excellent service from the staff. Everyone seemed genuinely nice. The food was good, but not great. I would recommend the burgers. It was quite good. The brisket was tender, but I hesitate to use the term "smoked". It almost seemed pre-cooked, then lightly smoked for a dash of smokiness. The appetizers were overlooked, but not horrible. I'm willing to give it another try....hoping the food is a bit better. read more

Stooped in for a late lunch. We were seated immediately. Very extensive beer menu on tap. I had the fish and chips. The fish was excellent - 3 large pieces of fish, breading was perfectly seasoned. Tartar sauce and coleslaw were excellent. We had the twisty fries ( I think that's what they were called) which were tasteless. Our server was very attentive. I will definitely be back to try the chicken wings or ribs. I noted that they also have Kobe beef burgers which is another thing that I'd like to try. read more

Pub 56 has great service and daily specials. Prices and very reasonable and they do not skimp on the food. The service was fast and super friendly and we were even checked on by the owner or manager. The entire place is extremely clean, has roomy seating; a nice change from trying to stuff too many tables in to seat more people. I wish we lived closer to make it a go to place. read more

I've been here twice in the last month. The first time was for thirsday night chicken tenders. They were really good but we were told they only had these Thursdays. These weren't the tenders on the regular menu. Unsure why? Another time I ordered a burger. Eh... Service is ok. Not the best. Very loud. I dont feel this is a place for kids. read more

Food was so good! Had a wonderful salad, great service and excellent prices - can't wait to go back!

I definitely enjoyed my experience and I will be back. I came in on a Wednesday and I was happy that they had 1/2 off drinks. It was a nice surprise. The wings and fried pickles were yummy. I ordered the brisket sandwich, unfortunately I was pretty full from the appetizers. It warmed up nicely in my toaster oven the next day. What I liked most is that different servers/management checked on us. It was nice to see a restaurant working together as a team. read more

This was our first visit to Pub 56, I have to say that the food was meh and the place was freezing cold I had to put my jacket over my legs because I was cold. The waitresses we had was very nice but when we ask to put a car auction on another tv so I could watch along with my husband we were told that it could not be done because it wasn't sport related. read more

Used to be a fan of this place until recently. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. Our Pepsi's were flat, our waitress brought out more and they tasted awful and didn't look right. It was happening to multiple tables around us. Why continue to bring out sodas to other people that aren't right when everyone's sending them back? Our food was just okay as well as service. Lastly, the way the manager replies to some of the reviews on here as well as Facebook is pretty rude and unprofessional. I'm sorry to anyone that has had to experience that. read more

Good beer. Lots of choices and a wide variety of specials. My friends had the Kobe burgers and liked them a lot. I had the brisket sandwich and thought the bread was too greasy. The chairs weren't very comfortable (we all thought so) but you can't have everything. read more

Food was OK, and service, other than complaints below, was fine. As I entered on a Saturday evening, signs says Domestic 23 ounce beers $4, and pasta $8. I didn't want any surprises, so asked server to verify that all domestic beers were included. Turns out it's only a few beers, only one of which (Shiner Bock) I would consider drinking. I can understand craft beers being excluded, but many were just run of the mill beers. I was told they were not considered domestic. My wife ordered sirloin, but about five minutes or so later, server comes back to let us know they are out of the sirloin. My wife switches to a pasta and chicken dish. At bill time, the pasta was I think $13. I asked the server why it was not $8 and was told it's not one of the $8 pastas. I pointed out that it was the only pasta dish on the menu. Apparently, there was another menu that we were not offered. Also on the bill was a convenience charge. Apparently it was convenient for the owner to charge 4% for credit card usage. None of those things would have been a problem if we were informed. Usage of the term "domestic beer" was very misleading, and charging a credit card fee without informing upfront and disguising it on the bill is pretty shady! read more

I am actually really impressed with the food. The sirloin is phenomenal, and a great price. There's kobe beef burgers, great pizza, and very interesting wing sauces (try the kentucky bourbon or blackberry dijon ). The thing to try is the smoked meats. Someone completely separate from the kitchen staff smokes pulled pork, beef brisket, and ribs. I've heard people from the south say its better than home. Try a combo platter and get a little of everything. Drink specials are great. There's 44 draughts, and every tues thurs they have $3 pints!! That's the cheapest a craft beer will ever be. ...and those bartenders, muy Caliente! !! read more

I'd like to preface this by saying I'm in the restaurant industry, so I get it... things get busy and slip a server's mind... however my boyfriend and I were sat at a high-top table (near the kitchen and server station) and sat for at LEAST 10 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone. If the restaurant were packed I would understand this better, however, it was not... many empty tables available. So it was pretty frustrating to see that there were people to help us, a couple of staff members literally chatting at the bar, with our table in view others chatting by the server station, walking around, and nobody did anything. Finally, the server comes over AFTER we asked the hosts to send someone. I actually did enjoy my meal so kudos on the chicken stirfry (p.s. that's the only reason you got an extra star). However, my boyfriend ordered buffalo wings, expecting the wings tossed in the sauce like normal. In reality, he received wings from the Sahara desert looking dry as hell with NO buffalo sauce?? So we asked and received buffalo sauce, however, he then had to awkwardly eat the wings with the sauce drizzled and dipped. It was very messy and unpleasant, just another thing on the list of what went wrong. It was Friday the 13th so maybe we should have anticipated this... not sure who's to blame but needless to say we will not be back. read more

Held off on destroying this place for too long. They have a special on Thursdays of $2 drafts....that's if you can find a beer that they actually have. Came here 2 months ago and ordered 8 different beers, 6 of which they "did not have". Today, they were out of all Lagunitas products AND Coors Light....yes Coors freaking Light. (And that was only my first order attempt) You would think when you advertise that you have a special it's a good idea to have the beer or at least let the customer know and update the beer menu. This has happened close to 10 times between my visits and family visits. If you're looking for a wide variety go to Bulldogs, you may pay more but they actually have the beer that's on the menu. read more

Arrived about 6 pm and was greeted by more than one friendly employee. Bartender greeted me quickly and took my drink order and explained the specials, $3 craft beers, how do you go wrong! For dinner I had the smoked meat trio with sauce on the side. First thing I noticed was the amazing aroma of smoked meats. The ribs, brisket and pork were absolutely fantastic. I recommend ordering sauce on the side as the meat is awesome by itself. read more

Well...we gave Pub 56 another try, because the food is pretty good. The waiter took our beer order and there it sat at the end of the bar. After a bit, I asked the bartender if she could bring us the beers, which she did. The waiter never did ask how we got them. Took our order, a bit clueless, we ate and we're done. I should not have to wait on myself. You're food is good. But your service sucks! Service should be a priority! read more

Been here a couple of times now. It has a good beer list although none of my absolute favorites. (These extensive beer lists are beginning to look similar to each other at all these type restaurants.) Friday night four of us had the fish and chips, a sirloin steak, and one of the burgers with appetizers. The fish and chips were near perfect - flaky cod without any fried smell that can be common on a Friday night and definitely not overcooked. The fries and the sweet potato fries were also cooked just right. The steak and burger were also cooked correctly to order. The fried cheese curds were average and the poutine was different and tasty. Place was busy but the wait time at 6:45 pm Friday was less than 15 minutes. Service and server were great considering how busy they were when we came in. Only downside was how loud the place was. ... and the music in the background was dated. read more

I ordered the BBQ trio. I thought the food tasted very good, just the right amount of smoke. I ordered takeout and there was a little issue with that but a credit was issued so o don't want to have that influence my rating read more

Splendid food and awesome beer selection. Visited for the first time today and I will surely be back all the time. Living in Aurora there's a lot of options but this place is just what I needed. I have tried to enjoy this pub at least six times but for people with allergies and disabilities (that are not obvious) this restaurant is not accommodating. The managers are clearly trained to have a mindset to avoid litigation rather than actually caring about customer experience. This was my sixth and final attempt to enjoy this pub. If u have allergies they will not accommodate because they are afraid of being sued. If u have a knee injury, then they offer u a glass of wine but tell u to take ur leg off the chair. Without even asking why u might have it propped up: Bad vibe. Unpleasant experience read more

I sat solo at the bar around noon on a Wednesday. Great Cobb salad! Definitely going back to try something else (half off pizza weds perhaps). Restaurant and men's room was very clean, and the service was also great. Pub 56 is a huge upgrade from the last bar in the same location. Seems to have good specials on food and drinks 7 days a week. They're getting a second visit from me read more

rly bad customer service. been here for 30 min and havent gotten napkins for our appetizers nor gotten asked for our dinner. terrible

We were a party of four adults and two young teens on Saturday night. We called ahead and had a table reserved for 5pm. The place was fairly empty on arrival but full plus when leaving. We've been here before. The two appetizers we had , Buffalo Shrimp and Nachos were both very good. The Saturday special Kobe burger was excellent and the fries were very good. Not sure what kind of pickles they serve but they were awesome. They have daily food and beverage specials that are well worth choosing. The menu has lots of choices including Smoked Brisket and Pulled Pork. Our only negative was the lack of attention from our server. I know as the place got busy she was hopping but we had to to wait a long time for drink refills, dessert and finally our check. We'll be back as we enjoy the atmosphere. read more

On Mother's Day, I had a delicious kobe beef burger and my husband had the Ultimate Nachos, a 1/2 price special. We received a complementary chocolate cate dessert. I was so happy that we found a new place with a great beer selection and interesting menu. Unfortunately, that night my husband became ill, (and he never gets sick). I was willing to give it another try, so today my son and I returned. I ordered the fried chicken and he had the hamburger. While they were cooked well, both entrees were really bland desperately needing at least a little salt and pepper. The worst part was how the resturant smelled from the fish fry. I don't think I'll be back read more

i chose to remove my previous review based upon 3 recent visits this last month, one with family, one with new friends, one with business colleagues in from out of town. Each visit our party received a friendly greeting. As a whole, our group felt the food was not greasy and the portions were larger and quite flavorful. Glad to see the improvements and a pleasure to visit now. read more

The specials are a good draw, but the big surprise is how excellent the food is. This was our fourth time visiting and have spoken to the owner twice about how much we enjoyed it there.
