She did a wonderful job -- I love the natural colors book they have, and the shape was perfect. My sister was visiting and went here twice in the week that she was here because she "hadn't had her nails done that well in a long time." The con with this place is that I paid $65-75 for a fill- way out of my price range and, for that reason, I cannot be a returning customer at this time even though I would like to be. read more

I've gone here twice and neither experience was good at all. I got single color, dip polish on my natural nails both visits, and both times the (different) techs seemed annoyed with my request. Both times my fingers /cuticles have been sore the next day. Yesterday the tech didn't file my nails to match lengths, the top coat is spotty and does not cover the whole nail, and the dip is applied lumpy and unevenly. While removing my previous color, she ground too far into one of my nails. While buffing the dip coat she repeatedly hit my palm with the file. Walked in around 9:31am on a Friday and they weren't busy, appeared to have more employees than clients. I was asked several times by the same two people what services I was looking to get and they seemed confused when I said a refill and gel polish change for my toes. After a couple minutes a few other people came in, they asked what they wanted, and then asked me if I had an appointment. The woman yelling "what services do you want again" became so annoying and overwhelming, I said I'd go somewhere else... Not sure if it's because I didn't have an appointment or because I'm clearly not a local to Forest Lake, MN. either way, terrible customer service, especially for minutes after opening. read more

I was not going to write a review but it's been eating at me. I was there a couple weeks ago and asked for a deluxe pedi with gel polish. I was charged $70 for this service. This is way up from my last pedi there. I was taken aback by this price. After leaving I checked the website and it's not that easy to see what the cost actually is. On top of the price, I feel like I did not get my usual service. Not sure if it was a new person but it was not a great pedicure. I will try someplace else next time. I walked in for a gel mani/pedi. I was incredibly disappointed in how incredibly basic they both were. The gel polish chipped on my right hand within 4 days, and I was not doing anything that would have caused this, I was on vacation no house cleaning or roughness with my hands. There was no lotion applied to my hands, or feet for that matter and the price $91 for the bare minimum was exorbitant. I just got a pedicure here and although I only got the regular pedicure, I was in and out of that place in about 10-15 minutes. They were good about getting us in right away because we had called ahead, but the pedicure was poorly done and super fast. They kept asking us if we wanted to upgrade our pedis, which we declined, but that shouldn't mean we receive terrible pedicures because we didn't upgrade. They did apologize but, still. she was in a hurry the whole time. one foot didn't even get scrubbed. my nails were never buffed so the next day it all just started chipping and Cuticles left on my nails. My experience was okay but a little frustrating. I am getting ready for a graduation and wanted to treat myself. I asked for pink and white gel tips with an accent on my ring finger. My tech was courteous but I could tell she was getting frustrated with me as the service went on. She did not do the accent finger which I didn't catch until it was too late so I left it alone. She nicked me a few times but that's a typical risk. Given that the set cost $55 plus I gave a $20 tip, because they are in a service industry, I was disappointed. The best thing was that every single tech was masked (sometimes double) and that the tech didn't fuss me out about how short I wanted the tips. The first time two of my nails fell off, I drove all the way back from North Branch to Forest Lake to have them fixed the following day. Another one fell off. Definitely very upset with the job. Two trips from North Branch to Forest Lake was ridiculous However,the manager agreed after much conversation to let a different girls do my nails With no extra charge. My nails were done by a tech named Jay, who did an AMAZING JOB!! I have major OCD so I know I can be a pain in the butt or annoying when it comes to how picky I am about my nails. Thus nail lady One cut my nails so short that it's painful and this has happened twice here. She also has made me bleed twice by over cutting cuticles. Her nail fiking is crooked and too painfully short. They charged $50 for a powder dip manicure that turned out terrible. When I complained because there was paint on my skin surrounding the nails they said "that will come off later". Having moved to FLake from Minneapolis last fall, I've been looking for a solid nail salon that delivers consistent service and does quality work. Having tried a couple in the area, I settled on PT Nails for a couple of months. Initially they seemed great, Nails looked good, staff was friendly. However my last two visits have been terrible. My visit last week revealed fungus on two nails. The tech said moisture got in, and that caused the fungus. She removed the layer of gel powder and put a new layer down. (She used the same tools on those nails for all my other nails, not sanitizing anything) She asked where I've been going, so I told her 'here!' And she barely said two more words to me the remainder of my visit. Then, When she was finished, i had to ask her to re-do two of my nails because they were bumpy and the gel powder was uneven, and the gel color wasn't applied evenly. She was not happy with my request, and charged me an extra $6 for the two repairs on the fungi Nails. I'm getting married in 1 month and now have to deal with brown fungi Nails. Awesome. Needless to say, I will not return to PT. read more

I have been going to pt nails for over a year I am satisfied almost every time with the exception that I have always paid and asked for the top pedicure and have only ever actually got what I paid for once I would recommend the salon have a pedicure menu so we know exactly what we get so this doesn't keep happening also between pedicures I just do a gel polish change to match my nails but this last time was the worst 30 bucks to change my gel and it was put on so thick that it wasn't fully dry under the top layer think it is way over priced for a gel polish change especially if its going to be rushed and not last 2 weeks or more... read more

Like any typical salon they offer a handful of services, something new they have is the magnetic nail polish which is pretty cool looking. Stopped in with a friend yesterday morning and got taken care of right away. I got a basic pedicure and my friend got a gel manicure with the polish that changes colors with temperature. Service was fast. The girl who did my feet did not want to talk, and then left halfway through to help someone else, then I had someone else come over and finish my pedicure. She did a fantastic job with massaging my feet and calves tho, probably the best part of all of it. I got a turquoise color with little rhinestones at the base of my big toe nail. The overall look so far seems decent. My biggest complaint is that they didn't really get any of the rough calluses off which is one of the most important parts I think. I paid $30 total. read more

I made an appointment after work and when I got there I had to wait for about 20 minutes. Once I got started, I got passed from one girl to another because the first girl that I started with had an appointment come in, as did I make an appointment but was treated unimportant. The second girl that finished my nails, made me feel rushed, once she sat me down to dry she sprayed the enamel stuff in my nails cause little bubbles to dry on my nails because the nail polish was so thick. I have continually tried to return to this salon. They continue to cut corners on their pedicures especially if walk in come in they then hurry you out. $41.00 for a 'regular" pedicure with gel polish (burn with lamp 2xs) and the next day the heals of my feet felt like sandpaper because they SAW on your heals which is not they way to do heals.
