I get my nails done often and came here because I was out of town. I got gel nails done on Wednesday and they are already fully off 5 days later. They rushed though my nails and pedicure as well. I have never had gel nails come off this easily ever. It was the least relaxing nail appointment I have ever had. I will not come back to this place the next time I am in Forest Lake. read more

I got nails done the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding. By the time Saturday rolled around my gels nails were chipping. By Sunday I was able to peel them all off or they chipped off themselves. I was disappointed because get nails usually always last 2-3 weeks. My out of town friend got the same color and the same thing happened to her. She gets her nails done all of the time and said they were in a huge hurry and didn't let them set. My toenails were uneven as well. I call the salon and SHE CALLED ME A LIAR 3 times as I was calmly explaining the situation and told me IT WAS MY FAULT. I feel humiliated for them as business owners to treat customers like this. I never complain about things like this but for both of our nails to last only 4-5 days something needed to be said. We were both from out of town so could not go back. My mom went in to show photos of our nails and she was SO RUDE to her as well. Take your business somewhere else. This business is unkind, defensive and mean. I have been going there for years Patha is the one I usually go to but they are all great. It is always clean and everyone is friendly! My nail always turn out beautiful and one of the big difference I notice compared to other places I had gone to was that my fingers/nails never hurt like they did when I went other places. I moved to Oakdale a few years ago and tried a lot of nail places around there and Woodbury and I ended up driving back to Forest Lake and artisan nails. I highly recommend them. read more

This place must have changed a lot since the previous negative reviews or the staff took the criticism and made changes because I had an excellent experience at Artisan Nails and I'm very particular about my mani/pedis! I had a gel manicure and a spa pedicure and they both turned out beautifully. The staff was polite, sweet, conversational, and asked what I liked and didn't like. My massage was easily over 10 minutes long -- WAY longer than any other massage I've had at most places. They have a great selection of colors and the salon is clean. (I had been to 1st Nails about a week and a half before and they gave me the most sub-par mani/pedi I have ever received and the lady in charge there is bossy. Also they have very limited color choices -- hope you like glitter! My gel mani only lasted a week before fully peeling off -- $70 with tip. What a joke!) Artisan Nails was a totally different and lovely experience. Would highly recommend and hope they get more positive reviews because they totally deserve it over other Forest Lake salons! read more

I have been a customer of Artisan Nails for approximately 4+ years & have never been a dissatisfied customer no matter which of the staff does my procedures as they are all skilled technicians . The shop is family owned; it is always clean & attractive; the staff is friendly, conversive, & patient with customer requests; they are polite & courteous; the waiting room area is adequate & comfortable; & the entire atmosphere of the shop is relaxing (including the private pedicure area) as there is no t.v. or unnecessary background noise . "Amy" ( the mgr. & my usual technician ) does my nail dipping & the pedicures to perfection, & in the case that any nail should show peeling or damage within a reasonable time frame, the shop always has invited me to return so they can repair the nail damage free of charge . I've been going to Artisan Nails for 8 years And I come in every month without fail! I love that I can walk in or make an appointment to fit my schedule. My nails are "pink and white" and they're perfect every time. I love the fact that the pedi station is private with only a few chairs. Patha is absolutely wonderful, she's professional and always cheerful. I love her attention to detail whether it's a nail fill, pedi or a mani. I'm looking forward to the next 8 years! I get pedicures on a regular basis, throughout the Twin Cities metro area and around the country when I travel. Being new to Forest Lake decided to try a new place. Definitely, bar none, this was the most mediocre pedicure I have ever received. The whole pedicure took less than 30 minutes, and the massage consisted of less than a minute. That is normally my favorite part of the pedicure so I was very disappointed! Looks like i need to find another 'home' salon, will not be back here. read more

Just horrible is all I can say. I asked to get a full set of gel nails and the woman rushed right through it taking lots of short cuts for no apparent reason ( there was no one waiting for service). My full set looked just horrible when she was finished. I went to another salon in Brooklyn Park to have it redone and the nail artist there was just shocked at how horrible it was done. The pedicures we got here were possibly the best we have ever gotten. I will admit we did not have the highest expectations getting a pedicure in Forest Lake, but they did a great job. Our nails look perfect and it was the least painful pedicure ever, but they still took every step. We will probably come back next time we are in Minnesota. read more
