Recently went to PT Auto Experts after my son received a diagnosis of his check oil light on his 2005 VW Jetta from the dealer. Although he paid $120 for the dealer's diagnosis, I had a strong suspicion that the VW dealer was looking to rip us off. I remembered PT Auto Experts in Vienna and thought that if anyone could give us the truth about what his car needed, it would be Tony Muller and his staff. Sure enough, Tony did find that the catalytic converter was a problem as the dealer said but the car didn't need a new timing belt/water pump as stated by the dealer. With a truthful diagnosis, we got a new catalytic converter and had the 100k service done on the car. In addition, my mother had her car serviced and I am happy to report both cars are running great. PT Auto Experts earned two new customers that day. I was shopping for a place to take care of my 2003 Honda Civic for regular maintenance and repairs when needed. A friend referred me to them and I was really pleased by the prompt service in scheduling the oil change to customer service. Ryan was the person who I worked with and he was very polite and as I told him my concern with my brakes he tested everything and checked all the fluid levels to include topping off my engine coolant for free. Absolutely fantastic! I was rummaging around with reviews on where to get my vehicle's oil changed, since I need synthetic oil and rates in this area average around $80-$120. And PT Auto Experts had the cheapest rate of them all. So, I figured I'd try them out. And they were wonderful! They're tucked into a small side street in Vienna; just like a little gem! The mechanic took care of me right away, we enjoyed small talk while he drained the oil, and he gave me various tips on how to maintain my vehicle in the process. They really had that friendly-atmosphere that a lot of businesses say that have, but hardly ever do. And did I mention how inexpensive my bill was? Great staff. Great service. Great rates. I could've gone to anyone in my area (and there are about 5 mechanics in a 5 mile radius) but I was so pleased with the great comments about Tony Muller and his team that I gave them a shot. BEST PLACE AROUND! We have been bringing our many cars (from a JEEP YJ to Mercedes and many in between) here for many years and have never been disappointed. Tony and his crew have always been accomodating with last minute repairs to the scheduled maintenance. Tony has diagnosed a sick newly purchased used Subaru WRX (check engine light kept coming on) which ended up being a timing belt issue, as if it were his own car. He spent many hours diagnosing the problem with us and never complained. Matt is always there to answer questions over the phone whenever I call. Dropped in Advanced Auto to have my alternator checked, they said it was faulty and need a new one. Asked if they could recommend a place, gave me PT's card and said you can buy the part and they will install it and they give you a discount. Figured it could not hurt to call and get an estimate to install. It was $300 with me supplying the part. What if I do not supply the part? How much then? $330. I can see how nice it was for Advanced to recommend the one place but to charge $300 vs $330 its just not helping each other out. Why would I spend another $189 for the part? read more

Excellent customer service and very generous. For four days, the engine, VSC, and 4WD lights were all lit on my RAV-4. Because my wife and I both work and we only have two cars, logistically leaving one car in the auto body shop overnight is a painful scheduling process for us. So out of desperation, I dropped by PT Auto without an appointment in the hopes that one of their mechanics could have a quick look. Tommy (who is very affable and professional) at the front desk was able to squeeze me in, check the dashboard, reset the computer, and ultimately fix the problem.
