The staff was incredibly attentive, honest, and welcoming from the start. Even though it's a smaller shop, they have a comfortable waiting area with free coffee, snacks, and water, which was a really nice touch. They took care of my oil change and filter without an appointment and finished in less than an hour and a half. What really stood out to me was their honesty and generosity -- they even told me my next oil change would be free, which I've never experienced before. I've been to dealerships and many other auto service places around the Washington area over the past 20 years, and I can truly say this level of service is rare. This was my first visit, but based on this experience, they've earned my five stars. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend them!

    5.0 Stars Outstanding experience and great customer service…read more Yelp brought me here. I did a search for the top auto repair shops in my area and Craftsman was well on the list. Reviews were solid. Once I realized how close I was to two of their locations, I made a mental note to check it out. I called, they were welcoming over the phone and not in a spazzy rush like some of the other shops I had been calling around to. They took their time over the phone!!! I made an appointment to get some estimates, showed up, told them my concerns, and they checked out a few things going on with my car. Again, very welcoming in person as well. I came to get an estimate for front and rear brakes replacements, possible oil change, state inspection. As I waited, I skimmed through two books the owner had written! They said I could have a copy, so kept one. The owner has the right idea and it shows. The waiting area was cozy and super chill equipped with coffee and snacks and TV. What took the service over the top was how well the gentleman took to physically show me what was going on with my car. He also took pictures. In the front office we examined the photos and he explained, and educated me about what was going on and what needed attention and why it was relevant. He made additional recommendations based on car mileage and manufacturer recommended maintenance. We discussed pricing and I agreed to get some of the work done. They gave me a Lyft ride home. Called me when it was done a few hours later. Scheduled a Lyft for me to return. Back at the auto shop, I paid and I was on my way. I felt really impressed because they explained things about my car I had never known about in the 5 years of owning it. I felt educated and walked away understanding things better. In all the 20 years I've maintained cars, no shop has ever explained things to me the way they did. I must admit, I felt the labor fees were a bit steep. I felt my wallet go ouch! However, I feel extremely safe in my vehicle because of everything I learned. I will definitely, without a doubt return for future maintenance work and I will knock out some of the other recommended maintenance items in the near future. Highly recommend. Great experience without a single hiccup.

    Had my vehicle being serviced at local mechanic and they notified me that the PTU (Power Transfer…read moreUnit) that is part of transmission on all-wheel drive vehicles was leaking badly and needed to be replaced. They did not work on transmissions and advised me to take it to a transmission repair shop. Called the Ford dealership and they told me to replace it would run around $3300. For comparison I called some transmission shops and got ahold of County Transmissions and spoke with Hampton. He told me that it would run $2300 including labor if it needed to be replaced. They had good reviews so I decided to take it to them and save the $1000. Took it there on a Monday and Hampton told me they would have it done in several days. By Friday had not heard from anyone so I called them and was told that it was next in line to be looked at which would be the following Monday. My vehicle had been there five days and had not been looked at. On the following Monday, Hampton called me and said that it did need to be replaced and to replace it would run $3200. This was $1000 more than $2300 as he had initially told me and about the same as what the dealership would charge. Mentioned this to him and he said that the $2300 was for a used PTU that they would get from a salvaged vehicle, and a new one was $3200. He had not told me this when I first called and I had of course assumed the initial quote of $2300 was for a new one. Didn't even know they would consider putting a used one a vehicle because how would you know it didn't have issues. In light of this new information and for the fact I feel it was a bait-and-switch, I decided to take my vehicle to the Ford dealership and have them do the repair. The dealership's warranty on the PTU was much better and I know am getting a genuine Ford part. With an independent shop am probably getting a cheap aftermarket part. If I moved to another city or say was traveling and had an issue with it, I could take my vehicle to any Ford dealership and they would honor the warranty. If County Transmissions had done the work, then I was out of luck. Had to take an Uber back to County Transmissions and pick-up my vehicle and then take it to the Ford dealership. This costs another $50 on top of the $50 Uber charge had already incurred when I took my vehicle there and had to take an Uber to get back home as I live far from them. I opened up my SmartTag GPS tracking app as had placed an Android SmartTag GPS tracking device inside the vehicle awhile back. Was very surprised to see my vehicle had been driven around Vienna and appeared they were using it to run errands as it was stopping at various locations. So in the end I was out $100 in Uber fees, they had my vehicle for a week and nothing was done after Hampton telling me they would get to it in several days, plus they apparently used it to run errands. I would certainly not recommend this company in light of everything that happened. Note: Saw that Hampton had posted a rebuttal on my initial review where he states that the initial quote was an estimate to repair the PTU, but this is not true. The PTU is something that is replaced, not repaired, and he gave me a quote of $2300 to REPLACE the PTU. Plus they didn't need to be driving it around to determine where the leak was coming from since it was obviously leaking when I took it in and it had to be replaced. When I called him on Friday he said they hadn't looked at it yet; however they had been driving it around before that Friday. He mentions that they have a shuttle service and I asked about this but was told it didn't go to where I live.

Cars are obviously complex (they seem to only get more complex w time), but everyone at County was exceptional from the first conversation to the pickup. Saved me easily 90% cost over going to the dealer and no critical components were needed, just the basics first (filter change, additive included in the new transmission fluid) and truck is flawless now. Would highly recommend County Transmissions and will definitely return for anything additional for my other cars.

    I brought in a Jaguar with an electrical problem. I understand this is a difficult problem to…read moretackle, but these people had no idea what they were doing. They recommended a new battery - I had just changed the battery, but said OK. That didn't fix the problem, but they still charged me for a new battery. Then they recommended several other things (none of which solved the problem, but for which they still charged me). Finally they recommended replacing a main part of the computer. That meant they had to take it to the Jaguar dealership because they didn't realize replacing that part caused a security issue with the computer which had to be resolved at the factory level. This didn't fix the problem, but rather made it worse. My car used to run with minor electrical annoyances. Now it suddenly stops running in the middle of the road and the electrical annoyances have increased. They said, "look we can't fix it" and gave it back. When I got the car home, I realized they never even put the trunk back together. All the carpet was still pulled up, the liner was taken off, many small items from an organizer I had in the trunk were under the liner between the spare tire and the battery and generally scattered all over. I took the car to the Jaguar dealership to ask them about the work they did and they said they had no record of that. I would never entrust a vehicle with Eurasian Service again. At every turn they guessed (they obviously didn't KNOW) what they might be able to do, they charged me for it, and then when it didn't work they just guessed at something else. All told, they charged me thousands of dollars and returned my car in worse shape than it had been in when I first came to them.

Flat in the trunk I head over after work. Brian is inside and he takes the tire and my info. He quotes $29 for repair which is very reasonable. I expected much more. The next day I head over to retrieve the tire and am helped by Nacho behind the desk inside. I am lucky as the nail they took out was as long as my index finger and was 1/2" away from the sidewall meaning new tire. Glad of that. He carries the tire out to my car and I'm off. This is a little shop with a few employees. I'm glad to support this shop vs the big NTB/Mr Tire/ huge tire shops . Mom and pop will always work for me. These people are hard working and honest. Give them a try. I have been through the big chain BS and BWT is refreshing.

I explained I was from out of state and asked if they could help me. Frank approached his mechanic Joe. Joe agreed to prioritize my car and took my car immediately And got my car in for a plug and patch within 5 minutes. The shop was clean and all staff was very professional. They worked with a sense of urgency to fix my tire and get me on my way. They were wonderful in my time of crisis. Would highly recommend!!!! They saved the day
