I haven't even dropped my car off yet, but have an appointment to drop it off tomorrow and can. Not. WAIT! I am the original owner to my car and I feel like I've never really found a great mechanic. I was referred to frames by another mechanic in the area actually. As soon as I called they asked me to come in so they could run a scan! I pulled up and walked in, they told me to pull up to the side and they came out as soon as they were finished helping another customer. One of the mechanics came to run a code and literally sat in my car and said "yeah this isn't running right!" The fact that he could literally sit in it and feel that there was a problem was amazing to me. Seeing as when I have the issues, I'm usually accelerating into 3K rpm's. I had my vehicle towed (starter went bad) to Frames on a late Friday morning and called to confirm my vehicle was delivered. Within two hours after I received a call confirming the repair I needed and the cost estimate. The next day, Saturday, I was surprised to receive another call confirming my vehicle repairs were completed which included an additional repair to address leaking power steering line. Although I was not able to pick up right away on Saturday(they close at noon) I was impressed they got both repairs done. I picked up my vehicle Monday morning and was impressed with the knowledge provided by the owner of my vehicle model and professionalism. Frames Automotive is the most honest & friendly car repair place I have ever been to...truly a rarity in the automotive world. The whole radio/infotainment unit on my Volvo s60 just locked up and wouldn't do anything. Naturally the car was JUST out of warranty, and after terrible dealership experience in the past I was dreading having to return to Volvo to get this fixed. So I called Frames. Bill told me to come there immediately, where he diagnosed the problem, disconnected the battery, and reset the whole system. I was there a total of 30 minutes and he only charged me $60. He is funny, straightforward, and did I mention honest?! The woman who works up front named Melanie was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to during my wait. Bill and his team are great. They like what they do and are always there to provide honest and reliable service. I can't believe it took me over 10 years of owning this car to stop going to the dealer for service. With Frames, I went from regular $750+ bills twice a year (this car doesn't get that many miles put on it) to a "normal" $300 full regular service bill. Yes, new brakes or another major item adds to that but those bills at the dealer were well over $1,800 and usually more like $2,500. We'll be using Frames a lot in the future. read more

I was referred here by my friend Akshat after I complained about the dealership quoting me almost $600 to replace my headlight claiming that the bumper would need to be removed and suspension rewiring would be needed. [Note to self: Stop going to the dealership for all my car needs!] I was completely blown away by the service I received form Bill and Dave. I stopped by for an estimate and they had my headlight replaced in under 30 minutes for only $75. Not only were they fast, efficient, and honest - but they truly care about their customers. I am only 4'10 and sit VERY close to my steering wheel, so Bill even talked to me about safety issues with airbags and some options that I have....no not sitting on phone books.... Driving thru town enroute to FLA, I needed someone to look at my old car and deduce engine trouble. I called after closing but Bill the owner answered and squeezed me in first appt in am! His shop was booked solid, but he'd take a look. In this fish out of water situation, I welcomed any help. Bill ended up driving around the neighborhood w/me to assess the quick fix he had done and discovered a more serious issue w/the transmission. First of all, stepping into his shop is like stepping into a cute time capsule, there's a vending machine that dispenses glass bottle Coca-cola, an antique gas pump, and two grey-haired gentleman at the counter, which is what I imagine mechanic shops in the 1950's look like. Don't let the old-school style fool you; it's down right friendly, honest service where the customer (and I'm as clueless about cars as possible) gets treated with kindness and they don't try to pull all tricks. I spoke with Bill on the phone after a harrowing experience at the Toyota dealership, where an oil change turned into $400 of 'recommended' fixes. He told me to come in that afternoon, took a look (without charge) at my car and gave the honest recommendation which was that there was NOTHING wrong with my car. This place is wonderful! Easily the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with car repairs. A couple days ago, I took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Almost immediately after, I noticed a rattling sound in the engine every time I stopped. The next day, on my way home from work, the check engine, VSC, and TRAC OFF lights all came on. I immediately called Frames. Bill answered the phone, despite it being after their closing time. He told me I could drop my car off that evening and he would look at it in the morning. I thought I was going to be without a car all weekend. But by 10 am Saturday morning, the repairs were done. Bill even topped off my fluids at no charge. This place was such a wonderful find!
